Sickbay

Savar tapped his combage. "Savar to Sickbay."

"Wilson here, we're a little busy right now" The tension in her voice was evident and not expected. They were overwhelmed and struggling with a lack of resources.

Aurora looked towards Sarah nodding that she could take the call. She tapped her comm badge.

“Sickbay here Commander” Aurora used Savar’s rank, given the situation professional detachment was required, “We’re overrun down here! We’re doing our best, but we’re overstretched as it is!”

Savar answered, "Understood Lieutenant, Send a medical officer when you can to the bridge. We have injured here, the Captain is among them."

Sarah looked up, then back at the full sickbay. She couldn't really spare a pair of hands but with every injured crewmember there was also the occasional one who were well enough to help. "Aurora, head to the bridge, see what you can do. I'll see if I can reroute the EMH there for a few minutes if it's really bad"

Aurora nodded. “Sarah, Sidak is in the office over there will you make sure he’s okay until I get back?”

"Will do" Sarah said swiftly as she dealt with another life and death case. Thankfully all nursery staff were trained in basic medicine and Sarah could corral all the kids with one carer. Not ideal - but necessary.

“Thank you” Aurora nodded before grabbing what she needed and heading off the bridge. Even though her head wound was no longer bleeding she still had a headache, and her senses were still foggy.

Diplomatic Office

Blake was shaken, and that was putting it mildly. What the hell had happened?! Getting to her feet, she looked around the diplomatic office. She noticed several people around her that were injured or unconscious. She knelt with one and checked for signs of life. Heartbeat and sound breathing. Thank goodness for that.

She reached out to communications. "Lieutenant JG Blake Leone here. The diplomatic office is littered with injured. But so far, it seems like no one is injured enough to need immediate medical care", she reported. "I'll patch up the worst injured with the med kit in the office. Please let me know if I'm needed elsewhere".

Commodore's Study

Ensign Thenis stumbled and then was thrown forward just as she exited the Commodore’s anteroom. She slammed hard against the far bulkhead of the ship and fell. Cursing up a storm in Orion she got back up on her feet when suddenly she found herself in weightless freefall. Oh crap, the ship is in an uncontrolled entry she thought as she hit the upper part of the corridor and felt gravity take over. She saw the deck come rushing up towards her well this is going to hurt. she thought as she slammed against the deck and lost consciousness.

The Commodore was in a similar state of being, her lighter bone structure was offset by her heavier outer shell, and tough skin if one could call it that. Being thrown was still not a pleasure to endure and though she landed hard, she did not lose consciousness. By the time the ship had come to a stop, she was already attempting to stand. Her balance was shaky, but her focus was on Thenis.

She moved out of the door and found Thenis in the hallway, slunk down to the deck. S'thenosis knelt and checked for life to find that she was breathing and alive. The lights were out, but there were flickers and sparks, just enough to see by. They weren't on the same deck as the medbay, so S'thenosis made the choice to stay knowing the turbolifts and doors would not be functional yet. There wasn't much she could do, but wait.

Ensign Kitiuas Thenis came around to the flickering of sparks and the acrid-smelling smoke, the corridor was dark. "Ugh, that was the worst freefall experience I have ever had," she stated as she slowly sat up. Blood was slowly coming out of her nose and she was sure at least some of her teeth were loose. She looked around and realized the Commodore was next to her. "Sir, are you okay?" she inquired

Her tongue flicked out, a sign she was not content with the current state of things. "I am as well as can be expected, Ensign. Though I must say, I do not believe we shall have to worry about arriving at our destination in a timely manner, as it appears we have crashed." Her flair for the obvious was dry at best.

She looked about for the source of the smoke before commenting, "If you are able to travel Ensign, I dare say we should find others who may assist us before we succumb to smoke inhalation or asphyxiation." She reached down and offers the young woman a hand up which was likely the upper echelon of her compassion.

Ensign Thenis declined the Commodore's hand "Thank you sir, but I can mange. Taken rougher beatings in my life. We need to find some emergency lamps, let me think a second." she replied as she stood up. "Ahh yes if I remember correctly there should be an emergency medical station near the diplomatic corps offices just off your office." she said as she began making her way cautiously toward the offices.

"Indeed. Please be careful. I would like to make it to the bridge in one piece if at all possible." S'thenosis had endured enough physical and mental destress at the hands of Captain Kaylen's command that at this point crashing a ship barely phased her. This was just another Tuesday.

Bridge

Patin crawled out of the shambles of the holodeck, remarkably uninjured apart from a few bumps and bruises. She helped those that she could and then crawled though an access tube, heading for the bridge. She understood that something terrible had happened and wanted to help. A short time later she popped onto the bridge .'What do you need me to do?" She asked nobody in particular, looking for Noz.

Savar looked at Patin as she popped out of the access tube. "Relieve Mr. House and take care of the Captain. She requires assistance.''

Dean glanced up, still taking care of Rhenora. Looking to Savar a moment, and then Patin. "We are doing fine, I also don't trust you, so go occupy yourself with something actually helpful."

"Mr. House...." Savar started and stopped. He wasn't worth an argument. They had injured to help as well ascertain the damage to the ship. He was sure it was extensive but was it repairable? The shuttles and runabouts need to be checked out as well. "Patin, please assist in treating the other injured."

Patin looked around and shrugged " Don't really give two shites if you don't trust me, but you need me." She retorted to Dean before moving off and providing rudimentary first aid to the other bridge crew who were injured.

A few minutes later Aurora scrambled out of the same access point, with the ship in such a state turbolifts were out of the question. “Savar.” She walked across to her husband, the one section of her clothing was covered in dried blood from her head wound earlier, and her face was partially covered in it too. A nice bruised ‘egg’ on forehead but at least it wasn’t bleeding anymore thanks to Sarah. “Sidak is safe, he’s in Sickbay being looked after” she looked around the bridge and all the wounded.

Savar moved to his wife, inwardly he was relieved she was alright, outwardly he remained calm except for a crinkling of his eyes at seeing the dried blood and goose egg on her forehead. He was quiet as she spoke and when she had finished a hand went out and his fingers gently caressed her face. "I am relieved you are alright Aurora, and that Sidak is also safe." His voice carrying the emotion he didn't show. "Patin is looking at the captain. However, as you can see we have others who can use your assistance, please see to them."

Aurora nodded. “I’ll do my best. Sarah said she’d try and have the EMH routed up here if needed, I think we need it.” She tapped her comm badge. “Sickbay, I need the EMH on the bridge!”

"You've got him for 5 minutes, then I need him back here" Sarah replied and the EMH shimmered into existance, medkit in hand and glower in place. "Please state the nature of the....nevermind."

Moving across to Duo, Aurora was quick to help him to sit down. “Relax Lieutenant, we need to get you sorted out.” She quickly unpacked what she needed from her medkit. “I’ll do what I can here, but we need to get you to Sickbay.”

Duo relaxed into his chair like Aurora ordered him to. He knew it was no use trying to fight her or the EMH. And he knew he was in a lot of pain and if he didn't get it sorted out soon he was in danger of passing out again.

"Go ahead and do what you need too." he said softly.

The EMH ran his eyes around the bridge, his unique medical mind enhanced with the best eyesight a hologram could have. There were several catagories, two serious, several major, and just about everyone minor. He headed to Duo first as Aurora was there, running a tricorder over his body. " Concussion, broken ribs, you'll be fine" The EMH stated briskly, injecting Maxwell with a strong painkiller then reducing the cranial swelling and knitting the ribs just enough to they wouldn't cause further damage. "There, report to sickbay in 12 hours for follow up treatment" He rose and moved to his next patient.

"I'm fine Doc, you're needed elsewhere," the Captain protested as a tricorder was shoved in her face.

"Why do Captain's make the worse patients?" The EMH retorted gruffly as he continued his scans. Without warning he very slightly adjusted Dean's initial reset of the Captain's shoulder, fused the bone just enough to hold it in place, then moved to treating her legs. " You'll thank me later when you don't have one arm longer than the other" He retorted at her sharp intake of breath despite the painkiller she already had on board. A hypo was pressed into her neck and there was a blessed moment of blackness as he moved her to the ground and mended her crushed legs. Turning to Dean and Savar he nailed them with a withering glance "Don't let her walk, if she does, she might not walk again. She needs surgery but it can wait until the critical cases are dealt with"

"It's not just the Captains," Dean gave a grin a moment, before looking to Rhenora. Well, half looking at her for a moment, then fully looking to her. "Leaning up like that isn't a good place. What happened to staying in the chair."

Savar glanced at Rhenora before he fixed his gaze on the EMH and replied. "Captains by and large are the most difficult and uncooperative patients, Doctor."

"I heard that" Rhenora grumbled as she came to, now propped up against the side of the bridge with her legs straight and splinted in front of her.

The EMH glared and vanished back to sickbay as though he were never there.

"Team, report - I need to know what we're dealing with" Rhenora felt odd commanding the crew from the side of the bridge, but hey, beggars couldn't be choosers. At least she could think somewhat clearly now.

Aurora turned to look at Rhenora. “Sickbay is at capacity Captain, at least it was when I was there, and it was only getting worse. Dr Wilson was having to ration medical supplies just so we had enough to last.”

The Captain grimaced at the news. They needed to start looking forward and making a plan to stay alive until help came. "Dean, can you activate the distress beacon?"

"Yes, ma'am. At least that will still be working." Or it should anyway. Moving around to give it a try. After a little kicking and cursing from Dean it actually started. "It should be working, for now. Considering the state of things that we can already see with our eyes. We should save one of the batteries for it."

"Keeping that distress beacon operating is going to be a top priority. Can you send a message to all departments and have them send a senior representative to the bridge for a staff meeting. We need to set some plans." The Captain sat back with a sigh. The trial was blessedly going to have to wait.
