Personality & Traits

General Overview		Blake is determined of nature. While she is a little cautious when meeting new people, she warms up pretty quickly. She loves to read and likes working crafts, like crocheting or embroidery. She is also fond of drawing things.
Strengths & Weaknesses		Strengths: - She is quite determined and will see things through to they are done - She's quite compassionate, and prefers peace over violence at any time. - She's rather creative, both in her hobbies and when working. She tried to find new and better solutions to a particular problem if possible. - Honorable: she honors her word and keeps her promises, even though it can get her into trouble at times. - Respectful. She shows respect to any person, unless they have proven themselves unworthy of said respect Weaknesses: - Cautious. Having had a tough childhood, she is cautious in who she welcomes with open arms, and who she will watch for a while. - Quiet. While she has her opinions, she's generally quiet of nature. She only says something if it is important for the situation she's in. - Honorable: the downside. That she honors her word as good as always, she sometimes run into situations where she can get in trouble. - Compassionate: the downside. Her kindness and compassion gets taken advantage of at times. Neutral: - Telepathy/empathy: Her telepathy and empathy has both been a blessing and a vice. The blessing of it is that Blake can sense people's emotions and a few thoughts. The vice of it is that she hasn't had any real training in these powers. While she has developed a certain control on her own.
Ambitions		Blake doesn't have huge ambitions. She merely wants to be part of something bigger than herself.
Hobbies & Interests		Blake enjoys reading, drawing, crocheting, embroidery. She likes to learn in general.

Personal History		Blake was left at an orphanage shortly after her birth. She grew up unwanted by both adopters and the staff. As a result, Blake is a little hesitant to get to know people. So, as soon as she learned to read, she dug into the books as her only comfort. As she grew older, she realized that she wasn't like the other children. She started having headaches around the age of 11. Not knowing what it was made her uneasy, as they happen often. At age 12, an elderly lady named Janice Leone, came to the orphanage. The woman, in her mid 70s at that time, looked once at Blake and decided to take her home. Blake got her last name and a home. In the city she came to live in, she found that there was a feud going on between 2 big families and their supporters. Janice was the mediator between the feuding families. Her patience and kindness was a big inspiration for Blake. She also learned that she was part betazoid. It was something that caused some resentment from both sides of the feuding families. When she started school, she found that the feuding families' problems seeped into their children's lives as well. As a result, she steered clear of the feuding families and their children. She had no intention of getting caught up in their mess. Her distancing herself from the other children meant that she was mostly on her own, apart from group assignments. Whenever a headache started, she started studying until it faded again. When she graduated, she did so with honors. And Janice was beyond proud of her. Blake had known early on that she wanted to be a diplomat. But she didn't want to deal with 2 feuding families. She wanted to be a part of something bigger than herself. So, she applied to join the Starfleet Academy. The day after she got her acceptance letter, Janice passed away after years of sickness. She was grief-stricken, but also knew that Janice would want her to follow her dreams. So, she buried the only person she had considered family, and headed to start her studies. Though it was sometimes tough to do so, she came to visit Janice's grave a few times. The feuding families' problems with each other had flared badly after Janice's death.
