I do believe it is Independence Day for my Northern living crew. I hope the day was filled with family and friends.
I also happens to be the 24th anniversary of this fleet forming. Yes we've been around THAT long, there are a handful of us who have been around since those early days.
Leaving thoughts of middle age and decrepitness aside, please see the below anniversary link..there's some cool stuff going on there :)

Mission: For Bajor!
Posted on Mon Dec 22nd, 2025 @ 9:18am by Commander Dean House & Commander Rosa Coy & Commander Jennifer Baldric & Lieutenant Sarah Wilson
Dr Sarah Wilson paced, not her usual method of dealing with stressful situations but it was working for the moment. Baldric had returned, the poor woman sweating profusely and pale as her body worked to expel the creature within. There was only so much she could do to manage the rejection without harming the symbiote, and her options were now running out.
"Sunfire to shuttle, what's your ETA, our patient is deteriorating"
The Shuttle Equinox finally replied after a minute, "We're about 13 minutes out, Doctor. What are the patients vitals right now? We can push it to 10 but…

Mission: Character Development
Posted on Sat Dec 20th, 2025 @ 8:24pm by Commander Rosa Coy & Lieutenant Commander Bonnie "Bon-Bon" Durnell & Captain Rhenora Kaylen & Commander Dean House & Commander Jennifer Baldric & Lieutenant Sarah Wilson
Sickbay smelled of antiseptic and cold metal, the sort of sterile quiet that made even strong hearts feel naked. Jennifer Baldric gripped the rim of the biobed with both hands, knuckles blanching as another wave of nausea tore through her. The bucket on the floor had already become her closest companion. Overhead, the biobed’s monitor fluttered with readings that made no tidy sense, human vitals overlaid with something older, deeper, wrong.
A nurse lingered a careful distance away, pretending to inventory supplies while keeping a wary eye on the commander who couldn’t stop retching. Baldric swallowed hard, shuddering, trying to…

Mission: Beholder
Posted on Tue Dec 16th, 2025 @ 5:11pm by Patin
The Celestial Temple received Patin the way a storm receives lightning, not with surprise, but with a long, patient inhale.
The mists tightened. Harmonics flattened. Time stopped pretending to be playful.
Patin stepped out of the fold brushing snow off one boot she hadn’t been wearing five minutes ago. She looked pleased. That alone annoyed them.
You intervened.
“I adjusted,” she corrected. “Intervention implies panic. I was calm.”
You reversed a weapon’s discharge. You altered trajectory. You equipped mortals.
She shrugged. “Everyone likes a party favor.”
The air cooled. Not temperature, intention.
You invoked your title.
“Prophet of Chaos and…

Previously on Dancing..dancing..dancing;
“And Dean? Flirt with me again when I’m sober. Then I’ll know which parts were real.” The door clicked softly behind her, leaving the night open for whatever tomorrow chose to unfold. The porch light buzzed overhead, soft and golden, as they disappeared inside together.
"I will keep that in mind." Smiling softly, following her in. Flopping on the couch to bed down. Pushing the fedora over his face a little bit to block out any residual light. Dean gave a lasting yawn. "Good night John boy!" He grinned, not sure if she'd get the reference or…

Mission: Beholder
Posted on Sun Dec 14th, 2025 @ 11:18am by Captain Rhenora Kaylen
The High Priest began his morning ritual. Prayer, a simple breakfast, devotionals with the local populace, then communion and the giving of thanks to the Beholder who has kept them safe for so many years. For centuries the statue had stood guard over the prison, the gateways between Skygowan and Vadia 9 now safely open for all to pass through. Still though, they were reserved mainly for the clerics and high priests, being only the purest of heart in the presence of the Beholder.
He strode carefully into the chamber, the stars never ceasing to take his breath away. What…

» USS Sunfire — Acting Command Log - Bajoran Satellite Transfer
Posted on Fri Dec 5th, 2025 @ 6:38pm by Commander Jenna Ramthorne
Commander Jenna Lee Ramthorne, Bridge
Orbital track remains stable over Bajor’s northern hemisphere. Power levels nominal, comm buoy array holding lock. Current duty shift cycling cleanly.
At 1427 hours, Deep Space Nine signaled priority contact. Colonel Kira Nerys appeared on main viewer. Her report was short and to the point: the replacement control satellite had passed all station-level diagnostics and was ready for handover. Requested Sunfire to retrieve, position, and complete final activation protocols. Authorization codes transmitted and verified.
Acknowledged the order and initiated retrieval preparations.
Helm plotted a straight-line course from our current orbital anchor to DS9 at three-quarter…

Personal Log, Leo Da’Cinci — Supplemental
(Confidential. Not for official record. If ye’re readin’ this, put it back where ye found it, or I’ll throttle ye with me own spanner.)
I woke up this mornin’ to the bloody computer chirpin’ in me ear again. 0600 hours sharp, no mercy, no consideration. “Good mornin’, Lieutenant Da’Cinci,” it says, as though I’m about to spring out of bed with a smile. Ha! I roll over, mumble a curse or three, and slap the console ‘til it shuts up. Truth be told, if the ship herself didn’t need me, I’d never leave the…

Personal Log:
Entry 2
The transfer to the USS Sunfire is still pending. The ship hasn't arrived at Deep Space 9 yet, and so I am left to wait. I've been spending my time in my quarters, staring out the window at the endless parade of vessels docked at the station's ring. My gaze keeps drifting back to my own ship, the Achilles-class I brought here, a testament to my own work. Seeing it so close only makes my current assignment feel more… ordinary.
I have been officially assigned the position of Chief Strategic Operations Officer. In a time of…

Kitiuas stepped into her new quarters, much larger do to the fact it was designated for family.
Kasso looked up from the kitchen nook 'Well you look like a warmed over korgasant." said Kasso as she stirred something in the Orion firepot in front of her. Kit could smell the rich spices and sizzling food and smiled.
Kit replied, "I feel like a warmed over korasant. I need to take a shower before I nurse . Where is Astraea by the way?"
Kasso nodded to the side of the counter, there was a small Orion rocker crib. "I finally got…

Alright, here it is. Quinn's final request before I ship out. A personal log. I’ve never seen the point of one of these. My memory is, and always has been, perfect. But I obliged. As I always do with him.
I'm packing now. Or, what passes for packing. The reality modulator is humming, folding my few possessions into pocket-sized singularities. A few tools, my meditation sphere, the memories. The memories are what feel heaviest.
It's strange, but the thought of this new post on the Sunfire brings everything back to the beginning. Or, rather, the end. My end. I still…
