I do believe it is Independence Day for my Northern living crew. I hope the day was filled with family and friends.

I also happens to be the 24th anniversary of this fleet forming. Yes we've been around THAT long, there are a handful of us who have been around since those early days.

Leaving thoughts of middle age and decrepitness aside, please see the below anniversary link..there's some cool stuff going on there :)

Mission: Character Development
Posted on Sun Nov 9th, 2025 @ 1:57am by Patin

Humor as armor. Every punchline hides a scar.

The Celestial Temple pulsed in quiet light, serene, still — until a sound cut through it like static in paradise.

It was Patin’s laugh. Loud. Abrasive. Somewhere between a cough, a bark, and a detonation.

The Prophets shimmered like ripples in disturbed water.

“We do not comprehend this... noise.”

Patin wiped her eyes, still chuckling. “That’s called laughter, you glowsticks. You wanted a lesson, didn’t you?”

“We seek to understand... humor.”

“Humor?” Patin crossed her arms. “You sure you’re ready for that? It’s dangerous stuff. Unstable at room temperature. Like nitroglycerin, but…

Mission: For Bajor!
Posted on Sat Nov 8th, 2025 @ 4:53pm by Lieutenant Commander Bonnie "Bon-Bon" Durnell & Commander Dean House & Ensign Kitiuas Thenis ie-Jia'anKahr & Commander Jennifer Baldric

Bonnie watched as a pair of technicians loaded the second emitter array into the Runabout, her mind still racing through the ideas in her head. She spotted Dean, his cane sword in hand and she decided now would be a good time to confess. She slid over to where he was standing.

"It was your idea, you know. The whole ripping the cables out and crosswireing them. I kept thinking about what my counterpart had as tools in her arsenal versus what I had. Turns out, she doesn't have a friend like you who causes her to do stupid emotional…

Mission: For Bajor!
Posted on Fri Nov 7th, 2025 @ 6:23pm by Commander Jenna Ramthorne

The wind cut sideways across the tundra, cold enough to flay a man’s resolve. The northern portal glowed like an exposed wound, a ring of molten glass shimmering over cracked ice. Its pulse was steady now, locked open by some foreign hand, the energy held in place by invisible restraint.

Vekar Dane emerged from the transport’s shadow, cloak drawn tight, eyes reflecting the dying glow of his escape. He looked like a man holding his own reflection hostage. Behind him came the Nausicaan brute, carrying a crate of power cells in one hand and his disruptor in the other, dragging…

Mission: For Bajor!
Posted on Fri Nov 7th, 2025 @ 6:07pm by Remal Kajun & Captain Rhenora Kaylen & Commander Savar cha'Salik hei-Surak Talek-sen-deen & Lieutenant Commander Aurora Vali

Rhenora headed towards the exit, knowing that retrieving their weapons was now off the table. Damnit that was her favourite pocket phaser as well. She listened carefully, hoping to glean any intel on what would happen next. Pushing the door back to the sewer tunnels open again, she stepped out of the light and back into dull dank darkness.

Savar gave a short curt nod as Bonnie withdrew the dagger, he had learned first hand that they or rather she was alert and aware of what was happening, going on around her. He took a step back, two and turned…

Mission: Character Development

A Lesson in Detonation, Momentum, and Divine Misunderstanding

The Celestial Temple shimmered in its usual quiet hum of eternity, light folding and unfolding on itself like breathing silk. Patin sat cross-legged in midair, boots gently spinning as though gravity were an opinion. Every time she looked at that endless light, she thought of oxygen — beautiful, invisible, and absolutely useless until it met a spark.

She flicked her thumb and caught a sphere of light, it pulsed like a heartbeat, the faint sound of a fuse burning somewhere inside it.

“Patin of Bajor,” the voices said. They never spoke together,…

Personal Log, Leo Da’Cinci — Supplemental
(Confidential. Not for official record. If ye’re readin’ this, put it back where ye found it, or I’ll throttle ye with me own spanner.)

I woke up this mornin’ to the bloody computer chirpin’ in me ear again. 0600 hours sharp, no mercy, no consideration. “Good mornin’, Lieutenant Da’Cinci,” it says, as though I’m about to spring out of bed with a smile. Ha! I roll over, mumble a curse or three, and slap the console ‘til it shuts up. Truth be told, if the ship herself didn’t need me, I’d never leave the…

Personal Log:
Entry 2

The transfer to the USS Sunfire is still pending. The ship hasn't arrived at Deep Space 9 yet, and so I am left to wait. I've been spending my time in my quarters, staring out the window at the endless parade of vessels docked at the station's ring. My gaze keeps drifting back to my own ship, the Achilles-class I brought here, a testament to my own work. Seeing it so close only makes my current assignment feel more… ordinary.
I have been officially assigned the position of Chief Strategic Operations Officer. In a time of…

Kitiuas stepped into her new quarters, much larger do to the fact it was designated for family.
Kasso looked up from the kitchen nook 'Well you look like a warmed over korgasant." said Kasso as she stirred something in the Orion firepot in front of her. Kit could smell the rich spices and sizzling food and smiled.
Kit replied, "I feel like a warmed over korasant. I need to take a shower before I nurse . Where is Astraea by the way?"
Kasso nodded to the side of the counter, there was a small Orion rocker crib. "I finally got…

Alright, here it is. Quinn's final request before I ship out. A personal log. I’ve never seen the point of one of these. My memory is, and always has been, perfect. But I obliged. As I always do with him.
I'm packing now. Or, what passes for packing. The reality modulator is humming, folding my few possessions into pocket-sized singularities. A few tools, my meditation sphere, the memories. The memories are what feel heaviest.
It's strange, but the thought of this new post on the Sunfire brings everything back to the beginning. Or, rather, the end. My end. I still…

Personal Log, Stardate 49011.4
Admiral Quinn asked for a favor, and I've accepted. He feels I'm the right fit to serve aboard the USS Sunfire, an Akira-class vessel. They're short two officers: a Strategic Operations Officer and an Assistant Chief Engineer. Given my skills, the operations post is the natural choice.
The Sunfire is currently en route, and I'm to meet them at Deep Space 9. I've always admired the Akira-class design—sleek, powerful, and built for a fight. Serving on one, even temporarily, is a welcome opportunity. I’ve packed my gear and am looking forward to the challenge. I'll make…
