I do believe it is Independence Day for my Northern living crew. I hope the day was filled with family and friends.
I also happens to be the 24th anniversary of this fleet forming. Yes we've been around THAT long, there are a handful of us who have been around since those early days.
Leaving thoughts of middle age and decrepitness aside, please see the below anniversary link..there's some cool stuff going on there :)

Mission: Character Development
Posted on Mon Aug 24th, 2026 @ 3:58pm by Lieutenant Commander Bonnie "Bon-Bon" Durnell
Bonnie woke to the uncomfortable realization that she was still wearing yesterday's clothes. For several seconds she remained perfectly still, staring at the ceiling of her quarters while the events of the previous day assembled themselves into something resembling memory.
The battle in the Badlands. The explosion that rocked the ship and almost ejected her out into the vastness of space itself. The Bristol and her sickbay filled with injured bodies. The computer core and the hours spent crawling through damaged systems and coaxing power back into a ship that seemed personally offended by the concept of remaining functional.
She…

Mission: Character Development
Posted on Mon Aug 24th, 2026 @ 10:53am by Lieutenant JG T'Lar
Counselor T'Lar rearranged the chairs of the circle she'd set up as the previous group of Sunfire personnel, 10 in all, filed out quietly; some stopping by the refreshment table for a cup of coffee or a cookie or doughnut. It had been an emotional first session for the participants, many of whom had lost shipmates in what was being called the Battle of the Badlands.
They spoke of loss. They spoke of fear. But most of all they spoke of an overwhelming feeling of futility in the face of the many dangers that were attendant to their duties as…

Mission: Character Development
Posted on Mon Aug 24th, 2026 @ 10:27am by Commander Savar cha'Salik hei-Surak Talek-sen-deen & Lieutenant Commander Aurora Vali
~ Prior to ‘Deep Dive’ ~
The morning had started much the same as any other apart from almost falling over the unpacked luggage on the floor. Aurora couldn’t help but grin as she remembered the trip to Niagara Falls. To say it had let the old Aurora loose was an understatement, once N’vea was asleep in their adjoining room the evenings were wild.
The days were fun full of adventure for their small family but when darkness fell the nights turned hot with passion as Savar and Aurora were free to let their passions out.
“Good Morning Imzadi” Aurora…

Mission: Pirates!
Posted on Sun Aug 23rd, 2026 @ 10:25pm by Commander Jennifer Baldric & Lieutenant Sarah Wilson & Commander Dean House & Lieutenant Commander Aurora Vali & Lieutenant JG Olivia Voight
Jennifer Baldric sat by a lake within the safe confines of her own mental creation. This place had provided sanctuary, a place her mind could retreat to when she needed to escape the torture. Now, she wasn't sure if she was still detained - things were muddled, unclear. Her feet dangled into the crystal clear water, the small movements sending ripples through the surface.
"Damn right we're going to bring her home." Dean took a long breath and tried again like he did with Batel. Opening his eyes to see a form sitting with her feet in the water of…

Mission: Beholder
Posted on Sun Aug 23rd, 2026 @ 9:53pm by Captain Rhenora Kaylen & Senior Chief Petty Officer Ronson Mitchell & Commander Savar cha'Salik hei-Surak Talek-sen-deen & Commander Dean House & Lieutenant Commander Thriss Kla'ren & Lieutenant JG Jacob Rosen & Lieutenant Commander Bonnie "Bon-Bon" Durnell
Previously..
Dean's plan had worked. He'd taken the Runabout 'Hitori' out and with the assistance of the Defiant-Class ship, dragging the ISS Sunfire and the Dreadnaught towards the open rift. Going on the side of caution not doing it himself. Dean had remembered the correct frequency and configure the deflector to that and the correct flow rate with a quantum signature in parallel of the convergence variables that's ripped the hole through subspace. Setting it to the exact opposite variables to cause it to collapse in on itself.
Once the signal was given the Defiant-Class all but flug the other…

Personal log, Lieutenant JG Rowan Hale.
Several weeks have passed since I reported aboard the USS Sunfire. The distinction between days has already begun to erode, replaced by duty rotations, alert tones, and the constant vibration of the engines through the deckplates. This is a familiar phenomenon. I have experienced it before. The recurrence is… notable.
Assuming the role of Chief Medical Officer has proceeded with fewer complications than anticipated. That does not imply the absence of scrutiny. Lieutenant Commander Aurora Vali has proven invaluable in both administrative and clinical matters. Her insight into crew psychology is precise and uncomfortably…
» USS Sunfire — Acting Command Log - Bajoran Satellite Transfer
Posted on Fri Dec 5th, 2025 @ 6:38pm by Commander Jenna Ramthorne
Commander Jenna Lee Ramthorne, Bridge
Orbital track remains stable over Bajor’s northern hemisphere. Power levels nominal, comm buoy array holding lock. Current duty shift cycling cleanly.
At 1427 hours, Deep Space Nine signaled priority contact. Colonel Kira Nerys appeared on main viewer. Her report was short and to the point: the replacement control satellite had passed all station-level diagnostics and was ready for handover. Requested Sunfire to retrieve, position, and complete final activation protocols. Authorization codes transmitted and verified.
Acknowledged the order and initiated retrieval preparations.
Helm plotted a straight-line course from our current orbital anchor to DS9 at three-quarter…

Personal Log, Leo Da’Cinci — Supplemental
(Confidential. Not for official record. If ye’re readin’ this, put it back where ye found it, or I’ll throttle ye with me own spanner.)
I woke up this mornin’ to the bloody computer chirpin’ in me ear again. 0600 hours sharp, no mercy, no consideration. “Good mornin’, Lieutenant Da’Cinci,” it says, as though I’m about to spring out of bed with a smile. Ha! I roll over, mumble a curse or three, and slap the console ‘til it shuts up. Truth be told, if the ship herself didn’t need me, I’d never leave the…

Personal Log:
Entry 2
The transfer to the USS Sunfire is still pending. The ship hasn't arrived at Deep Space 9 yet, and so I am left to wait. I've been spending my time in my quarters, staring out the window at the endless parade of vessels docked at the station's ring. My gaze keeps drifting back to my own ship, the Achilles-class I brought here, a testament to my own work. Seeing it so close only makes my current assignment feel more… ordinary.
I have been officially assigned the position of Chief Strategic Operations Officer. In a time of…

Kitiuas stepped into her new quarters, much larger do to the fact it was designated for family.
Kasso looked up from the kitchen nook 'Well you look like a warmed over korgasant." said Kasso as she stirred something in the Orion firepot in front of her. Kit could smell the rich spices and sizzling food and smiled.
Kit replied, "I feel like a warmed over korasant. I need to take a shower before I nurse . Where is Astraea by the way?"
Kasso nodded to the side of the counter, there was a small Orion rocker crib. "I finally got…
