I do believe it is Independence Day for my Northern living crew. I hope the day was filled with family and friends.

I also happens to be the 24th anniversary of this fleet forming. Yes we've been around THAT long, there are a handful of us who have been around since those early days.

Leaving thoughts of middle age and decrepitness aside, please see the below anniversary link..there's some cool stuff going on there :)

Mission: Character Development
Posted on Wed Jan 7th, 2026 @ 11:47pm by Commander Dean House & Lieutenant Commander Bonnie "Bon-Bon" Durnell

Sunlight stabbed through the slats of the old blinds and hit Bonnie directly in the face, an unsubtle cue from the universe that last night’s bliss had a very short shelf life. She rubbed her eyes with the heel of her hand. Her brain felt sticky and slow, but some primal survival instinct shoved a thought through the fog.

Too bright. Too early. Too... suspiciously early. “Computer,” she croaked, voice raw and tiny. “Time?” The fog of hang-over prevalent.

“Zero-seven-fifty-five hours.”

Her eyes went wide. Her stomach dropped. Her soul left her body with a soundless, internal scream. “Five, no,…

Mission: Character Development
Posted on Wed Jan 7th, 2026 @ 6:58pm by Commander Rosa Coy & Remal Kajun

Rosa didn’t fall backward into the memory so much as lean, slow, reluctant, like a pilot easing a ship into a turbulent current they already knew by heart.

Her eyes lost focus. The counseling room dimmed around the edges, walls and chairs blurring, folding into the soft tang of something older, wind-carved and tangled. Trill rose to fill the space.

“Trill’s equatorial forests…” Her voice thinned, not weaker, just further away, carried on the resonance of something intimate and alive. “They hum at night. Not metaphorically. The insects, the heat, the riverbeds… all of it vibrating together. Like the planet…

Mission: Character Development
Posted on Fri Jan 2nd, 2026 @ 8:05pm by Commander Rosa Coy & Remal Kajun

The counseling room felt lived-in, which already made it unusual. Rosa paused just inside the threshold, taking in the small rebellions against standard Starfleet décor: a wooden bowl carved by hand, a strip of woven fabric pinned along the wall, the faint smell of mountain tea steeping quietly in a corner. Remal Kajun sat with an ease that suggested he belonged here, not because he owned the space, but because he cultivated it.

The doors parted, “Rosa,” he greeted, warm without intruding. “You made it.”

The door slid shut behind her with a soft hiss. She hesitated long enough to…

Mission: Beholder
Posted on Fri Jan 2nd, 2026 @ 9:27am by Captain Rhenora Kaylen & Commander Jennifer Baldric & Commander Jenna Ramthorne & Commander Savar cha'Salik hei-Surak Talek-sen-deen & Commander Dean House & Lieutenant Commander Aurora Vali & Ensign Kitiuas Thenis ie-Jia'anKahr & Lieutenant Commander Bonnie "Bon-Bon" Durnell & Lieutenant Alison Haldeman

Captain Kaylen Rhenora sat comfortably in the command chair, a half finished cup of coffee resting casually on the arm rest. The Sunfire had been on a survey mission for the past few weeks, having finished their repairs at DS9 and having restored the natural weather patterns of her beloved Bajor. Things were going smoothly, and the Sunfire was cruising through a region of space Starfleet hadn't visited in nearly two hundred years.

"Captain, we have a communication from Command incoming" the junior Ops officer announced.

"On screen" Rhenora replied with missing a beat.

Admiral Benyan appeared, her white hair…

Mission: For Bajor!
Posted on Fri Jan 2nd, 2026 @ 12:57am by Lieutenant Commander Bonnie "Bon-Bon" Durnell

Dust drifted in lazy spirals through the ruined safehouse, stirred by the rasp of MU Dean’s breathing. He lay half-upright against a cargo crate, one shoulder wrapped in a bandage already turning black where the blood seeped through. The others pretended not to watch him struggle; pretending was easier than accepting that their numbers had thinned to the bone.

A cracked window let in a thin slice of Bajoran dusk. Wind slid through the fissure with a soft wheeze, like the building itself was mourning. The floor was littered with broken glass, old ration packets, and the inorganic stink of…

» USS Sunfire — Acting Command Log - Bajoran Satellite Transfer

Posted on Fri Dec 5th, 2025 @ 6:38pm by Commander Jenna Ramthorne

Commander Jenna Lee Ramthorne, Bridge

Orbital track remains stable over Bajor’s northern hemisphere. Power levels nominal, comm buoy array holding lock. Current duty shift cycling cleanly.

At 1427 hours, Deep Space Nine signaled priority contact. Colonel Kira Nerys appeared on main viewer. Her report was short and to the point: the replacement control satellite had passed all station-level diagnostics and was ready for handover. Requested Sunfire to retrieve, position, and complete final activation protocols. Authorization codes transmitted and verified.

Acknowledged the order and initiated retrieval preparations.

Helm plotted a straight-line course from our current orbital anchor to DS9 at three-quarter…

Personal Log, Leo Da’Cinci — Supplemental
(Confidential. Not for official record. If ye’re readin’ this, put it back where ye found it, or I’ll throttle ye with me own spanner.)

I woke up this mornin’ to the bloody computer chirpin’ in me ear again. 0600 hours sharp, no mercy, no consideration. “Good mornin’, Lieutenant Da’Cinci,” it says, as though I’m about to spring out of bed with a smile. Ha! I roll over, mumble a curse or three, and slap the console ‘til it shuts up. Truth be told, if the ship herself didn’t need me, I’d never leave the…

Personal Log:
Entry 2

The transfer to the USS Sunfire is still pending. The ship hasn't arrived at Deep Space 9 yet, and so I am left to wait. I've been spending my time in my quarters, staring out the window at the endless parade of vessels docked at the station's ring. My gaze keeps drifting back to my own ship, the Achilles-class I brought here, a testament to my own work. Seeing it so close only makes my current assignment feel more… ordinary.
I have been officially assigned the position of Chief Strategic Operations Officer. In a time of…

Kitiuas stepped into her new quarters, much larger do to the fact it was designated for family.
Kasso looked up from the kitchen nook 'Well you look like a warmed over korgasant." said Kasso as she stirred something in the Orion firepot in front of her. Kit could smell the rich spices and sizzling food and smiled.
Kit replied, "I feel like a warmed over korasant. I need to take a shower before I nurse . Where is Astraea by the way?"
Kasso nodded to the side of the counter, there was a small Orion rocker crib. "I finally got…

Alright, here it is. Quinn's final request before I ship out. A personal log. I’ve never seen the point of one of these. My memory is, and always has been, perfect. But I obliged. As I always do with him.
I'm packing now. Or, what passes for packing. The reality modulator is humming, folding my few possessions into pocket-sized singularities. A few tools, my meditation sphere, the memories. The memories are what feel heaviest.
It's strange, but the thought of this new post on the Sunfire brings everything back to the beginning. Or, rather, the end. My end. I still…
