Mission: Masimal

Captain Kaylen Rhenora eyed Dean as he mentioned the warning bouy, having not seen one as the ship slid into orbit.
"Do you have a copy of this warning message?" She asked without hesitation, not questioning his integrity but wanting to see the message for herself.
"Actually I do, I thought I sent it to you. It was just some anomaly that I noticed on the way here, about 3 light-years back." Dean leaned to pull it up and send it to Rhenora, "Was Gamma shift I was covering and bored so I looked into it."
Sandra stepped off the…

Mission: Masimal
Posted on Wed Apr 2nd, 2025 @ 10:24am by Captain Rhenora Kaylen & Commander Jenna Ramthorne & Commander Dean House
The USS Sunfire slid effortlessly into orbit around Masimal, a non Federation but friendly planet that the Federation had trading agreements with for many years past. The Masimal had requested a geomagnetic survey to be done, with their own equipment unable to be finely calibrated enough to detect exactly where the current series of Earthquakes and volcanoes were stemming from. They were a warp level society, but had directed their attention outwards, rather than inwards towards their own planet. Thus they had requested aid in rendering some continents stable enough to continue habitating and farming from.
"Helm, advise once we…

At first all that could be heard was the normal ship noises, the hum, the console beeps, the scanners. Her head was pounding as though she had blacked out and slept on her neck wrong. She blinked, sat forward and rubbed her temples, groaning audibly at the pain.
The screen in front of her appeared to be still, a cluster of gases in a variety of colors. Blinking, she checked her console for coordinates only to realize they had arrived at the Masimal cluster. Had she fallen asleep at her duty station? She wondered before looking around and realizing everyone…

As the planetary shield dropped, Jenna turned to Connor and Dean, "Good job. Now, if you would, please escort our guests to the surface. Take your team, Mr. McQueen, and bring our people back in one piece. " She nodded then turned and sat int he big chair. "Stand down from yellow alert. I think it's safe to breathe now should anyone desire."

At the tactical station, Tom heard Jenna's order and worked swiftly to carry it out, "Standing down from yellow alert Commander."

Mission: Ramant

Several minutes later she emerged near the cargo and hanger bays, only to encounter a number of Ramant waiting for them.
~SNIP~
The ship was down. The hangar doors were opening to facilitate the transport of cargo and supplies to and from the ship. There was one difference. In anticipation of the breakout the Ramant personnel had regrouped and were forming a breaching line at the doors. Their orders were to contain and only shoot if necessary. There were viable pregnancies in the mix, children of Ramant, the most valuable of resources. To risk the loss at this stage…

» Back On the Sunfire
Posted on Fri Mar 28th, 2025 @ 2:50pm by 1st Lieutenant Freya Score
Freya stood at the viewport in her quarters, her gaze transfixed on the streaking stars that raced by as the USS Sunfire traversed through warp space. Each shimmering point of light reminded her of the vastness of the universe, yet the familiar hum of the ship's engines, usually a source of comfort, now felt unsettlingly distant. A soft chime from her PADD interrupted her thoughts—a notification indicating that her transport to the nearest starbase was ready.
Taking a deep breath to steady herself, Freya activated her personal log, her voice steady yet laced with emotion.
"This is 1st Lieutenant Freya…

Commander's log, situation report. The Sunfire was systematically attacked by an unknown, un-seen assailant. We are still searching the ship for a complete list of our missing crewmembers. They were able to pull us out of warp and transport over under some sort of personal cloaking system.
Speculation at this point is not helpful, but the only species I've met with that sort of cloaking tech is the Jem' Hadar. It churns my stomach to know how efficiently they were able to enter, take our people and leave. What's worse is that we do not yet know why, only guesses.…

Personal Log of Ensign Kitiuas Thenis on board the Thimmerand, a Wander-class blockade runner. We are making all due haste to the Kunar system. My cousin Tayshi D'hetr has decided, for the Thousand Gods known reason, to help in rescuing our senior officers. She has mustered a group of three other Orion ships: the Tokol, a Maraar-class Orion barge; the Vasrak, a Harmony-class Orion fast escort/blockade runner; and the Vaillun, a Wanderer-class Orion a Class V blockade runner. The Thimmerand is running cloaked, again the Thousand Gods only know how she acquired a cloaking device. The plan is to have…

"Personal Log, Lieutenant Junior Grade Montgomery Vala. USS Sunfire.
The intricate ballet of the stars outside my quarters contrasts sharply with the flurry of my own movements within. Unpacking possessions and stowing them in their assigned spots, I am struck by the quiet gravity of this moment. Just a mere corridor away, the heart of the ship—the people, the systems—hums with life, echoing the grandeur of the universe. And yet, in these moments of solitude, the overwhelming weight of memories floods in.
The soft hum of the Sunfire's engines resonates with the rich tapestry of my past. As I gaze…
