I do believe it is Independence Day for my Northern living crew. I hope the day was filled with family and friends.
I also happens to be the 24th anniversary of this fleet forming. Yes we've been around THAT long, there are a handful of us who have been around since those early days.
Leaving thoughts of middle age and decrepitness aside, please see the below anniversary link..there's some cool stuff going on there :)

USS Sunfire Hangar Bay
The Order was given.
From the outside the USS Sunfire looked wounded. Ionized gas spilled from the dorsal vents in ragged clouds, glowing blue against the darkness while the great Akira-class carrier drifted with the slow, awkward roll of a ship that had lost helm control. The smuggler vessel took the bait exactly the way Jacob had predicted. Long range sensors painted the silhouette closing fast, a predatory wedge of reinforced hull plating and oversized weapon emitters pushing straight through with the confidence of a ship that believed the kill had already been made.
Inside the…

Vadia IX - Prison
As the Chronoton beam struck the prison, time itself felt as though everything were slowing down. The beam was creating a pocket of time centered on the prison, creating an obvious effect on the Vezda and those within the bubble. Just outside the area of effect, outside the prison, the Engineering team could see the prison, the air, the very birds caught in the wake practically freeze inside the bubble.
"This isn't quite working!" Dean unhinged the shield on his back. Throwing it, aimed to hit one of the Vezda in the head. It however, penetrated…

The Temple did not begin as a place. It began as a condition.
A stillness folded through time like a held breath that had never quite been released, and within that stillness a shape gathered itself slowly into the suggestion of architecture. Pillars of pale radiance rose and dissolved in the same moment. Floors existed only long enough to support the idea of standing. The air shimmered with a quiet gravity, a pressure of thought more than matter, as though reality itself had been persuaded to behave.
At the center of that persuasion stood Patin.
She appeared as she often…

Vadia IX - Prison
The first sensation came through the boots. A vibration rose from the stone beneath the security officer’s stance, faint at first, then gathering weight until the ground itself seemed to breathe. The containment well answered with a low resonance that rolled through the prison basin like distant thunder trapped underground. Dust lifted in slow spirals along the interior walls as something immense stirred below.
Then the surface of the well fractured with light, a swelling column of dark radiance that carried motion inside it, shapes folding through one another like shadows in deep water. The officer…

USS Sunfire Bridge- Arrival at Vadia IX
T'Lar stepped off of the turbo lift for her first time on the bridge. She came around to the counselor's chair and addressed the senior officer.
"Lieutenant T'Lar, Ship's Counselor reporting for duty."
"Nice to meet you T'Lar, I'm Jacob, the new Operations Chief." He replied with a casual friendliness. Jacob gestured to the First Officer's seat. "Please take a seat, I have the conn and would appreciate you stepping in to fill this role." As he waited for the Counselor to settle in, Jacob looked over to Ensign Gonzalez who had taken…

Personal log, Lieutenant JG Rowan Hale.
Several weeks have passed since I reported aboard the USS Sunfire. The distinction between days has already begun to erode, replaced by duty rotations, alert tones, and the constant vibration of the engines through the deckplates. This is a familiar phenomenon. I have experienced it before. The recurrence is… notable.
Assuming the role of Chief Medical Officer has proceeded with fewer complications than anticipated. That does not imply the absence of scrutiny. Lieutenant Commander Aurora Vali has proven invaluable in both administrative and clinical matters. Her insight into crew psychology is precise and uncomfortably…
» USS Sunfire — Acting Command Log - Bajoran Satellite Transfer
Posted on Fri Dec 5th, 2025 @ 6:38pm by Commander Jenna Ramthorne
Commander Jenna Lee Ramthorne, Bridge
Orbital track remains stable over Bajor’s northern hemisphere. Power levels nominal, comm buoy array holding lock. Current duty shift cycling cleanly.
At 1427 hours, Deep Space Nine signaled priority contact. Colonel Kira Nerys appeared on main viewer. Her report was short and to the point: the replacement control satellite had passed all station-level diagnostics and was ready for handover. Requested Sunfire to retrieve, position, and complete final activation protocols. Authorization codes transmitted and verified.
Acknowledged the order and initiated retrieval preparations.
Helm plotted a straight-line course from our current orbital anchor to DS9 at three-quarter…

Personal Log, Leo Da’Cinci — Supplemental
(Confidential. Not for official record. If ye’re readin’ this, put it back where ye found it, or I’ll throttle ye with me own spanner.)
I woke up this mornin’ to the bloody computer chirpin’ in me ear again. 0600 hours sharp, no mercy, no consideration. “Good mornin’, Lieutenant Da’Cinci,” it says, as though I’m about to spring out of bed with a smile. Ha! I roll over, mumble a curse or three, and slap the console ‘til it shuts up. Truth be told, if the ship herself didn’t need me, I’d never leave the…

Personal Log:
Entry 2
The transfer to the USS Sunfire is still pending. The ship hasn't arrived at Deep Space 9 yet, and so I am left to wait. I've been spending my time in my quarters, staring out the window at the endless parade of vessels docked at the station's ring. My gaze keeps drifting back to my own ship, the Achilles-class I brought here, a testament to my own work. Seeing it so close only makes my current assignment feel more… ordinary.
I have been officially assigned the position of Chief Strategic Operations Officer. In a time of…

Kitiuas stepped into her new quarters, much larger do to the fact it was designated for family.
Kasso looked up from the kitchen nook 'Well you look like a warmed over korgasant." said Kasso as she stirred something in the Orion firepot in front of her. Kit could smell the rich spices and sizzling food and smiled.
Kit replied, "I feel like a warmed over korasant. I need to take a shower before I nurse . Where is Astraea by the way?"
Kasso nodded to the side of the counter, there was a small Orion rocker crib. "I finally got…
