Freya stood at the viewport in her quarters, her gaze fixed on the streaking stars as the USS Sunfire sailed through warp. The familiar hum of the ship, usually so comforting, now seemed distant. A notification on her padd broke her thoughts—her transport to the nearest starbase was ready.

Taking a deep breath, Freya activated her personal log.

"This is 1st Lieutenant Freya Score, Sunfire Marine Commanding Officer, final entry. Duty has always come first for me, but sometimes, life pulls us in unexpected directions. A family emergency requires my immediate attention, and though it tears me apart to leave the Halo, I know my Marines and the crew are in the best hands. 2nd Lt. Conner McQueen , I trust you to keep the Sunfire detachment sharp. Captain Kaylen, thank you for believing in me and my team. To my fellow officers, it’s been an honor serving beside you. I'll carry the Sunfire's spirit with me, always."

Freya paused, her voice catching. "Until we meet again, may the stars guide you. Score out."

She ended the recording and stood in silence for a moment before heading to the transporter room. As the shimmer of the beam enveloped her, Freya whispered softly, "Semper Fi."
