| Personal History | Aurora was born aboard the USS Vulcan her father's ship, named after its home world which was exploring the outer regions when her mother went into labour. The birth was an uncomplicated one and her father was proud to have a daughter bearing his Vulcan heritage, her pointed ears and raised eyebrows evident at that tender age. Her name was chosen by her mother hence the less than Vulcan sounding nane. Growing up amongst Vulcans it was expected that Aurora would purge her emotions and be a logical Vulcan as her heritage would demand. She decided against it and retains her emotions much to her father’s disapproval. At the age of 16 Aurora decided to enrol at Betazed University studying Psychology and Counselling. Upon graduation from Betazed University she applied for and enrolled at Starfleet Academy, sponsored by her father. She spent the next four years on the Counselling track, alongside the expected Academy studies. She graduated one of the top students in her field. It was during her time at the Academy that she met and fell in love with fellow Vulcan Savar. The relationship between the two did not go unnoticed and it was arranged that Aurora would be bonded to Savar during the next Pon’farr. When the time came neither could face being forced into a life long bonding they were not ready for and their relationship hit the rocks. Upon graduation from the Academy Aurora moved to Starfleet Medical for a year’s internship as Counsellor. She has since served aboard three Starships, before being assigned to the USS Liberty as Chief Counsellor. Since boarding the Liberty Aurora has been reunited with Savar and the two have decided to become the bonded pair they were always meant to be. Aurora and Savar have a son called Sidak, she was impregnated by an alien who left Aurora carrying a child that wasn’t hers. She has accepted the child as her own, uncertain as to whether Sidak’s true parents will ever return for him. Aurora is currently pregnant with hers and Savar’s child after medical help to conceive, as authorised by Starfleet. |
