Mission: Repairs and Retribution
Location: Kunar System
Timeline: End Wrap-up

[Kunar Prison Complex Surface]

...Bonnie may have only been waiting for a few minutes alone since the explosion she'd set into motion and the arrival of the Orion raiders before the familiar Cardassian Starfleet Officer came sauntering out from a nearby tunnel. Letting the rifle hang loose against her front, Ghemora raised her left hand in greeting to the fellow officer, "Hey, LT! Friendly!" she called out, wanting to ensure Bonnie didn't inadvertently take a shot at her given her appearance and the state of the situation.

As Ghemora closed to rejoin her previous teammate, she pulled her tricorder out with her left hand, flipping it open before glancing at it and looking up to the engineer, "Sunfire has the ability to get locks on us now, but might not yet be able to see the others that were located down below. Let's go rally on them and lead them out to the open so we can exfil."

Slipping the tricorder away, the Cardassian reached across her body to retrieve the disruptor pistol she wouldn't need and offered it to Bonnie, "Here. There's still a bunch of Cardassians that have yet to be secured and are fighting back against the Orions. If we run into any, I'd rather you be able to defend yourself. Take it and let's go," she inferred as she glanced away in the direction she knew the others would be emerging from.

Whether Bonnie took the pistol or not, Ghemora dryly commented, "You really think I would have left you if I thought you would be in any danger?" before moving off towards the entrance to the subterranean prison mines to locate with the last of the Sunfire crew that remained on the planet.

In truth, she hadn't known Ghemora long enough to trust her not to run off and abandon her. Trust was not something easily gained, but oh so easily thrown away. She also didn't know her well enough to explain how she really felt about what felt like a lack of teamwork and communication, so, she simply didn't. Before the frizzy-haired Engineer could respond and take the weapon her communicator chirped. Had the Sunfire received her call? She tapped her badge, "This is Lieutenant Durnell, go ahead."

"Lt Durnell, this is the Sunfire, you are cleared for transport., the missing crew are about to be beamed aboard, and we are extracting all remaining away teams. Are you with Lt Ghemora?" The voice of CPO Ronson Mitchell echoed through the tiny speaker on Bonnie's comm badge.

"She was a moment ago but is preparing to go and assist with Sera's team in locating the Commander I think. My duty is done here and I've left no trace behind. Ready for transport." She was motioning with her hands again as if they could see her. When she caught herself they snapped fast to her sides, just as she disappeared from the planet's surface.

=^= USS Sunfire this is Ensign Kitiuas Thenis do you copy? =^= she sent via a tight beam communication, directed in the general area where she had detected the plasma burst.

In the background, Ensign Thenis heard her cousin begin issuing orders. "Inform Siguyt it is time to leave. Get the Tokok lifted off the planet with what they have. Inform the Vaillun and Vasrak it is time to activate the surprise gift for our most welcoming host. Finally, helm bring us into the vicinity of where Kit thinks her Federation ship is." commanded Tayshi.

All in all, she was extremely satisfied that the results of the raid had satisfied the Eau de Nil's need of cluros against the Maccets of Cardassia.

Within the next 10 minutes the remaining landing party crewmembers were all beamed aboard, giving the Sunfire little reason to linger any longer in this area. They had retrieved that which they had lost, and now has to get the heck out of there before the Cardassian forces decided to mount a retaliation, if they were in any condition to do so.

Through the malee a single shuttle rose and headed deep within Cardassian space, it's occupants slithering away, wounded but ever hardened in getting their revenge. Laying on the medical bed The Mrs was still, her chest barely rising with each breath. She had been treated in the moments before death and whilst the Starfleet crew assumed her gone, she would love to fight again.

"Sir, all teams are being looked over in sickbay. Dr Wilson reports that our four missing officers are a little worse for wear but should make a full recovery, in time." Ronson reported to the Captain.

"Make sure all of them get checked and don't try to slip out... like a certain few people we know.." Dean mainly meant Rhenora and Patin.

" I'll make sure she knows, although I'm sure she already knows what those two are like" Ronson smirked as he make the necessary communications on his panel.

Alison smiled a big relieved smile knowing the away team members had been rescued and were safe.

Onboard the shuttle Aurora was laying close to Savar, relieved to be finally leaving the Cardassian hell hole behind. She held out her hand for him to take, offering a relieved smile.

Savar felt Aurora lying close to him. It filled him with serenity and calm to know she and the baby were both alright. He had not seen Rhenora or Remal, but he felt they were alright or rather like Aurora and himself, as best as one could be under the circumstances.

[Intel Office::Secured]

Having refused any examination or treatment, Ghemora had quickly collected the distributed Cardassian weapons and 'halos' and returned them for recycling and to her office for secured storage, respectably. Arriving in the office carrying the crate of 'halos', she set the case down on an empty desk while asking Sloan, "Reeves, were there any issues with the secure transmission? Did you get all of the evidence?"

Sloan, working at a station collating the data, didn't look away as they answered, "No, sir. The connection remained secure and I've already started to isolate the reading signatures and match them to the weapons and methods used. We should have a recreation narrative within a couple of hours." Pausing to turn in their chair to look to the Cardassian chief, "Do you want me to start on the report?"

"No," Ghemora replied as she opened the crate and started to scan and reset the 'halos', "I'll handle it. I'll be the only name on the report to IA so if there is any blowback, it'll only come on me. You were just following my orders, Reeves, and that's all that you need to concern yourself with."

"Understood, chief," Sloan replied a bit uneasy before turning back to the console they were working at. As her chief continued to inventory the disguising devices, Ghemora released a heavy breath that was the only thing to break the near silent ambiance of the office as the small Intelligence Team saw to the duties that were often seen as the least favorable, but necessary to ensure the continued reputation of Starfleet within the Federation.

Kit again transmitted a tight beam communication to where she thought the Sunfire was =^= Sunfire, this is Ensign Kitiuas Thenis; be advised the Orion ships are friendly and will be deploying an Interference generator to thwart attempts to use sensors, this will also affect the use of transporters. Be advised that five, say again five minutes after use of Interference generator there will be a Tricobalt explosion. It is advised the Sunfire and crew have left the system by then. =^=

Ronson piped the transmission through the bridge speakers so everyone heard it "Recommend we haul ass out of here Sir. We have our people, let's go. We can hook up with Kit once everyone is in the clear"

"Of course it had to be something like this. At least they get to take the heat. Perhaps they won't even know we were involved. Get us the hell out of here. We'll send Kit a message once we get safe." Dean stood up.

" All systems showing as good as they're gonna get. Shunting power from all non-essential systems to shields, engines and weapons" Ronson confirmed as his fingers danced on the control panel.

"Course laid in for Federation space Captain. Engineering reports we might be able to use the Transwarp Drive but I think Lieutenant Kla'ren should give you the details." She delivered the information cautiously. She took his order to 'get the hell outta here as a command. "Warp factor 8, aye sir." The Sunfire moved out of the asteroid belt, positioned itself, and then leaped forward into the stars and away from Kunar. It had only been a week but it felt like six months had passed and they weren't even out of the water yet.
