I do believe it is Independence Day for my Northern living crew. I hope the day was filled with family and friends.
I also happens to be the 24th anniversary of this fleet forming. Yes we've been around THAT long, there are a handful of us who have been around since those early days.
Leaving thoughts of middle age and decrepitness aside, please see the below anniversary link..there's some cool stuff going on there :)

Mission: Beholder
Posted on Wed Feb 18th, 2026 @ 8:56pm by Captain Rhenora Kaylen & Lieutenant Commander Aurora Vali & Lieutenant JG Rowan Hale & Lieutenant JG Olivia Voight
There was a pause, pregnant and expectant, yet no one was game enough to fill the void. The gauntlet was thrown; the timeframe, although somewhat open-ended, was bookended with an outcome similar to a train in a tunnel. They got this wrong, many, many people suffered, and they would be first on the Vezda buffet.
"We are working on containing them in a Moebius loop, something that would keep them contained in their own space/time for as long as time itself. Our teams are working through the solutions necessary to get them there. Now I'm concerned the Vezda may beat…

Mission: Beholder

Engineering carried the tone of sustained effort long before the clock admitted it was night. Fabricators glowed along the bulkheads. Schematic layers hovered above the central table in disciplined columns.
Commander Jenna Ramthorne stood at the center of it all with the composure of someone who understood that urgency never justified disorder. Her sleeves were rolled with precision, not haste. She listened to the room first. The rhythm of tools. The pitch of the warp core through the deck plating. The tempo of conversation. Then she began assigning work.
“Injector housings fabricated in pairs,” she said, voice even and clean.…

Mission: Character Development
Posted on Tue Feb 17th, 2026 @ 8:38am by Lieutenant JG Rowan Hale
Rowan was alone in his office when the alert came through.
It wasn't a priority channel. Nor a medical flag. Just a soft chime from the administrative queue tied to his personnel file.
At first, he almost dismissed it entirely, instead choosing to clear the final diagnostic on Batel's neural trend line.
Efficiency first. Then interruption. he'd reasoned with himself.
When he was done with Batel's results, he opened the notification window.
The header was impersonal:
Starfleet Personnel Registry Update – Linked Record Modification
He frowned slightly. Linked record modifications were typically procedural. Emergency contact revisions. Promotion acknowledgements. Casualty cross-references.…

Mission: Beholder
Posted on Tue Feb 17th, 2026 @ 2:54am by Captain Rhenora Kaylen & Lieutenant JG Rowan Hale & Lieutenant JG Olivia Voight
It was the next morning when Captain Kaylen strode into sickbay, the plan to trap the Vezda in the Moebius loop already taking shape. She was here to address the one unknown left in the equation, time. The only person who had any idea how much time they had was recovering in sickbay after nearly two centuries being a guardian.
The Bajoran looked for the CMO as she entered, seeing the lights dimmed and Batel's eyes closed. She spied Rowan in his office and headed there, keeping her footsteps as quiet as possible. She knocked gently on the doorframe.
"How…

The away team beamed back to the Sunfire, with Baldric and Batel beaming to sickbay a moment later. Captain Kaylen greeted the team in the transporter room, keen to know more about the situation and what they could do to prevent the Vezda escaping.
"Are they contained?" She asked simply to start with, recalling the old fashioned gold uniform that Batel was wearing.
"We've two in Sickbay. Hmm." Dean had phasers locked on the target below.
Bonnie recalled, "For now Captain. However without the Beholder Guardian... " Her tone reflected the worry and strain they all felt.
"Right, we need…

Personal log, Lieutenant JG Rowan Hale.
Several weeks have passed since I reported aboard the USS Sunfire. The distinction between days has already begun to erode, replaced by duty rotations, alert tones, and the constant vibration of the engines through the deckplates. This is a familiar phenomenon. I have experienced it before. The recurrence is… notable.
Assuming the role of Chief Medical Officer has proceeded with fewer complications than anticipated. That does not imply the absence of scrutiny. Lieutenant Commander Aurora Vali has proven invaluable in both administrative and clinical matters. Her insight into crew psychology is precise and uncomfortably…
» USS Sunfire — Acting Command Log - Bajoran Satellite Transfer
Posted on Fri Dec 5th, 2025 @ 6:38pm by Commander Jenna Ramthorne
Commander Jenna Lee Ramthorne, Bridge
Orbital track remains stable over Bajor’s northern hemisphere. Power levels nominal, comm buoy array holding lock. Current duty shift cycling cleanly.
At 1427 hours, Deep Space Nine signaled priority contact. Colonel Kira Nerys appeared on main viewer. Her report was short and to the point: the replacement control satellite had passed all station-level diagnostics and was ready for handover. Requested Sunfire to retrieve, position, and complete final activation protocols. Authorization codes transmitted and verified.
Acknowledged the order and initiated retrieval preparations.
Helm plotted a straight-line course from our current orbital anchor to DS9 at three-quarter…

Personal Log, Leo Da’Cinci — Supplemental
(Confidential. Not for official record. If ye’re readin’ this, put it back where ye found it, or I’ll throttle ye with me own spanner.)
I woke up this mornin’ to the bloody computer chirpin’ in me ear again. 0600 hours sharp, no mercy, no consideration. “Good mornin’, Lieutenant Da’Cinci,” it says, as though I’m about to spring out of bed with a smile. Ha! I roll over, mumble a curse or three, and slap the console ‘til it shuts up. Truth be told, if the ship herself didn’t need me, I’d never leave the…

Personal Log:
Entry 2
The transfer to the USS Sunfire is still pending. The ship hasn't arrived at Deep Space 9 yet, and so I am left to wait. I've been spending my time in my quarters, staring out the window at the endless parade of vessels docked at the station's ring. My gaze keeps drifting back to my own ship, the Achilles-class I brought here, a testament to my own work. Seeing it so close only makes my current assignment feel more… ordinary.
I have been officially assigned the position of Chief Strategic Operations Officer. In a time of…

Kitiuas stepped into her new quarters, much larger do to the fact it was designated for family.
Kasso looked up from the kitchen nook 'Well you look like a warmed over korgasant." said Kasso as she stirred something in the Orion firepot in front of her. Kit could smell the rich spices and sizzling food and smiled.
Kit replied, "I feel like a warmed over korasant. I need to take a shower before I nurse . Where is Astraea by the way?"
Kasso nodded to the side of the counter, there was a small Orion rocker crib. "I finally got…
