I do believe it is Independence Day for my Northern living crew. I hope the day was filled with family and friends.

I also happens to be the 24th anniversary of this fleet forming. Yes we've been around THAT long, there are a handful of us who have been around since those early days.

Leaving thoughts of middle age and decrepitness aside, please see the below anniversary link..there's some cool stuff going on there :)

Mission: Character Development
Posted on Thu May 21st, 2026 @ 7:47pm by Commander Rosa Coy

I felt the shift come through the deck first.

It is subtle enough that nobody says anything immediately, just a faint hitch beneath my boots, like the ship changed its mind halfway through a thought. Lieutenant Kade’s fingers move across the helm before the console finishes updating, smooth and instinctive, correcting for something small, within tolerance.

I feel the correction anyway. The Veyra answers a fraction slower than before. Not enough to alarm anyone. But it's just enough to bother me.

I look toward the navigational display, watching the vector settle itself back into alignment while the inertial dampers hum…

Mission: Beholder
Posted on Thu May 21st, 2026 @ 11:01am by Captain Rhenora Kaylen & Captain Marie Batel

The sun rose, bathing the city in a golden light that reminded those that rose early exactly why they did so. Captain Kaylen Rhenora sipped her coffee, soaking in the delicate morning light. It was cool, crisp even but not uncomfortably so. Remal sat quietly beside her, contemplation clear on his features.

They sat in comfortable silence, no words needed to fill the space. Rhenora's dress uniform hung on a hook next to the bathroom door, Remal's best suit on the hook beside. Today they, along with several other officers from the Sunfire would finally lay Marie Batel to rest.…

Chapter One: The Fracture

The Symbiosis Commission always carried the scent of stone after rain. This day was no different.

Jexa noticed it the moment she stepped back through the arched corridors alongside Olaris and Toval, though the familiar calm of the place failed to settle her this time. Normally the Commission wrapped around her thoughts like warm water. The quiet voices, the measured footsteps, the glow of the pools beneath the polished walkways all reminded her that joined life equated to continuity. Memory flowed here in ripples. Wisdom passed carefully from one life into another. Every chamber seemed designed…

Mission: Character Development
Posted on Wed May 20th, 2026 @ 10:35am by Captain Marie Batel & Patin

The silence that followed settled strangely across the Temple. Like someone was listening. The mist shifted in slow currents around them, folding and unfolding like thought trying to become language. Somewhere beyond the white, stars flickered in patterns too deliberate to be random. The Prophets were paying attention again.

Patin noticed immediately. “Oh no,” she muttered around the cigar, eyes narrowing upward. “That’s the face you lot make before someone ends up emotionally damaged.”

The Temple flexed. Mistakes are perspective.

The words did not echo so much as exist everywhere at once.

The Chaotic one speaks contradiction.

Patin barked a…

Mission: Pirates!
Posted on Wed May 20th, 2026 @ 10:34am by Lieutenant Commander Bonnie "Bon-Bon" Durnell & Remal Kajun & Commander Dean House & Lieutenant JG T'Lar & Commander Jennifer Baldric

“Agony is not measured by how loudly someone screams… Every creature breaks eventually. The art lies in keeping them conscious long enough to hear it happen.”

I.S.S. Sunfire – Agony Room

The brig doors hissed shut behind T’Lar, and for a moment, the only sound left in the room was the low mechanical hum of the agony booth and Baldric’s ragged attempts to breathe through it. Bonnie did not move immediately. She remained seated backwards in the chair, chin resting atop folded arms, watching Baldric convulse behind the transparent field with the same calm attention someone else might give a…

» Personal Log - Early Observations

Personal log, Lieutenant JG Rowan Hale.

Several weeks have passed since I reported aboard the USS Sunfire. The distinction between days has already begun to erode, replaced by duty rotations, alert tones, and the constant vibration of the engines through the deckplates. This is a familiar phenomenon. I have experienced it before. The recurrence is… notable.

Assuming the role of Chief Medical Officer has proceeded with fewer complications than anticipated. That does not imply the absence of scrutiny. Lieutenant Commander Aurora Vali has proven invaluable in both administrative and clinical matters. Her insight into crew psychology is precise and uncomfortably…

» USS Sunfire — Acting Command Log - Bajoran Satellite Transfer

Posted on Fri Dec 5th, 2025 @ 6:38pm by Commander Jenna Ramthorne

Commander Jenna Lee Ramthorne, Bridge

Orbital track remains stable over Bajor’s northern hemisphere. Power levels nominal, comm buoy array holding lock. Current duty shift cycling cleanly.

At 1427 hours, Deep Space Nine signaled priority contact. Colonel Kira Nerys appeared on main viewer. Her report was short and to the point: the replacement control satellite had passed all station-level diagnostics and was ready for handover. Requested Sunfire to retrieve, position, and complete final activation protocols. Authorization codes transmitted and verified.

Acknowledged the order and initiated retrieval preparations.

Helm plotted a straight-line course from our current orbital anchor to DS9 at three-quarter…

Personal Log, Leo Da’Cinci — Supplemental
(Confidential. Not for official record. If ye’re readin’ this, put it back where ye found it, or I’ll throttle ye with me own spanner.)

I woke up this mornin’ to the bloody computer chirpin’ in me ear again. 0600 hours sharp, no mercy, no consideration. “Good mornin’, Lieutenant Da’Cinci,” it says, as though I’m about to spring out of bed with a smile. Ha! I roll over, mumble a curse or three, and slap the console ‘til it shuts up. Truth be told, if the ship herself didn’t need me, I’d never leave the…

Personal Log:
Entry 2

The transfer to the USS Sunfire is still pending. The ship hasn't arrived at Deep Space 9 yet, and so I am left to wait. I've been spending my time in my quarters, staring out the window at the endless parade of vessels docked at the station's ring. My gaze keeps drifting back to my own ship, the Achilles-class I brought here, a testament to my own work. Seeing it so close only makes my current assignment feel more… ordinary.
I have been officially assigned the position of Chief Strategic Operations Officer. In a time of…

Kitiuas stepped into her new quarters, much larger do to the fact it was designated for family.
Kasso looked up from the kitchen nook 'Well you look like a warmed over korgasant." said Kasso as she stirred something in the Orion firepot in front of her. Kit could smell the rich spices and sizzling food and smiled.
Kit replied, "I feel like a warmed over korasant. I need to take a shower before I nurse . Where is Astraea by the way?"
Kasso nodded to the side of the counter, there was a small Orion rocker crib. "I finally got…
