I do believe it is Independence Day for my Northern living crew. I hope the day was filled with family and friends.
I also happens to be the 24th anniversary of this fleet forming. Yes we've been around THAT long, there are a handful of us who have been around since those early days.
Leaving thoughts of middle age and decrepitness aside, please see the below anniversary link..there's some cool stuff going on there :)

» Patin's Lessons: A little Faith
Mission: Character Development
Posted on Mon Mar 23rd, 2026 @ 1:37am by Commander Jenna Ramthorne & Patin
The Temple didn't soften itself for this lesson. It sharpened. The light narrowed. The geometry pulled tighter, angles aligning with a kind of intent Patin recognized immediately. This was more than simple curiosity. This was pressure.
Patin felt it and squared up out of habit, chin lifting, shoulders back. "Careful," she said. "That look usually means you're about to poke something you don't understand and then act all surprised when it bites."
We request a lesson in Faith.
She barked a laugh, short and humorless. “You've picked the wrong prophet.”
You have not instructed.
“No,” Patin agreed. “Because I don’t…

The Temple did not rush this lesson.
It let the echo of Forgiveness settle first, the quiet afterward, the way Patin still stood at the center with her shoulders squared, eyes red, expression set in the practiced calm of someone who had already cried and refused to apologize for it.
The Celestial Beings remained. They did not disperse. They conferred without sound, without sequence, without heat. Their attention gathered again, heavier this time, more deliberate.
You have demonstrated Forgiveness.
Patin rolled her shoulders once, a small reset. “Yeah,” she said. “That one cost me a bit.” She half-smiled.
There is…

As soon as the away team materialized back on the Sunfire transporter pad, then were beamed to sickbay without a word being uttered.
Hale moved with purpose the moment they materialized.
“Biobed, now - careful with her,” He said, stepping in as Dean lowered Marie onto the biobed, tricorder already active.
“Short-acting neural and cardiovascular stimulant administered planet side,” he announced to Olivia and Sarah, his eyes scanning rapidly as he glanced between readouts.. “We are approaching the crash phase.”
He glanced briefly toward Olivia. “Lieutenant, I want full telemetry - cardiac, neural, and metabolic. Flag anything that deviates more…

The Celestial Temple did not prepare itself. It never did.
Preparation implied anticipation, and anticipation implied sequence. The Temple existed outside such indulgences. It was a place where moments lay folded atop one another like translucent vellum, each thin enough to read through if you were patient, or cruel enough to ignore if you were not.
Still, something shifted. Not a quake. Not a rupture. A hesitation.
The harmonic geometry that made up the Temple’s interior, arches that were not arches, light that bent without heat, sound that occurred without air, lost its usual confidence. The place did not falter.…

Vadia IX - Prison
Time wound back to the moment before the Vezda escaped, pausing ss though waiting for something. Those within the bubble were unaffected and merely observed until Rhenora's combadge crackled to life. Baldric was advising them to leave the prison, but remain in the bubble.
"Is that even possible?" She asked Batel and Dean.
"I don't know" Marie replied as she looked around the room. She was weakening by the minute and there was only so much Dean could do to support her.
"Doc - are you able to help?" Rhenora looked at Rowan for a medical…

Personal log, Lieutenant JG Rowan Hale.
Several weeks have passed since I reported aboard the USS Sunfire. The distinction between days has already begun to erode, replaced by duty rotations, alert tones, and the constant vibration of the engines through the deckplates. This is a familiar phenomenon. I have experienced it before. The recurrence is… notable.
Assuming the role of Chief Medical Officer has proceeded with fewer complications than anticipated. That does not imply the absence of scrutiny. Lieutenant Commander Aurora Vali has proven invaluable in both administrative and clinical matters. Her insight into crew psychology is precise and uncomfortably…
» USS Sunfire — Acting Command Log - Bajoran Satellite Transfer
Posted on Fri Dec 5th, 2025 @ 6:38pm by Commander Jenna Ramthorne
Commander Jenna Lee Ramthorne, Bridge
Orbital track remains stable over Bajor’s northern hemisphere. Power levels nominal, comm buoy array holding lock. Current duty shift cycling cleanly.
At 1427 hours, Deep Space Nine signaled priority contact. Colonel Kira Nerys appeared on main viewer. Her report was short and to the point: the replacement control satellite had passed all station-level diagnostics and was ready for handover. Requested Sunfire to retrieve, position, and complete final activation protocols. Authorization codes transmitted and verified.
Acknowledged the order and initiated retrieval preparations.
Helm plotted a straight-line course from our current orbital anchor to DS9 at three-quarter…

Personal Log, Leo Da’Cinci — Supplemental
(Confidential. Not for official record. If ye’re readin’ this, put it back where ye found it, or I’ll throttle ye with me own spanner.)
I woke up this mornin’ to the bloody computer chirpin’ in me ear again. 0600 hours sharp, no mercy, no consideration. “Good mornin’, Lieutenant Da’Cinci,” it says, as though I’m about to spring out of bed with a smile. Ha! I roll over, mumble a curse or three, and slap the console ‘til it shuts up. Truth be told, if the ship herself didn’t need me, I’d never leave the…

Personal Log:
Entry 2
The transfer to the USS Sunfire is still pending. The ship hasn't arrived at Deep Space 9 yet, and so I am left to wait. I've been spending my time in my quarters, staring out the window at the endless parade of vessels docked at the station's ring. My gaze keeps drifting back to my own ship, the Achilles-class I brought here, a testament to my own work. Seeing it so close only makes my current assignment feel more… ordinary.
I have been officially assigned the position of Chief Strategic Operations Officer. In a time of…

Kitiuas stepped into her new quarters, much larger do to the fact it was designated for family.
Kasso looked up from the kitchen nook 'Well you look like a warmed over korgasant." said Kasso as she stirred something in the Orion firepot in front of her. Kit could smell the rich spices and sizzling food and smiled.
Kit replied, "I feel like a warmed over korasant. I need to take a shower before I nurse . Where is Astraea by the way?"
Kasso nodded to the side of the counter, there was a small Orion rocker crib. "I finally got…
