I do believe it is Independence Day for my Northern living crew. I hope the day was filled with family and friends.

I also happens to be the 24th anniversary of this fleet forming. Yes we've been around THAT long, there are a handful of us who have been around since those early days.

Leaving thoughts of middle age and decrepitness aside, please see the below anniversary link..there's some cool stuff going on there :)

Mission: Beholder
Posted on Tue Apr 7th, 2026 @ 5:42am by Commander Jennifer Baldric & Commander Dean House

Dean had finally finished in Sickbay. Given all that went on, and the fact that sometimes he and Jennifer would share quarters from time to time, that is where he went. Still upset over everything, he didn't know if she was off duty yet from the Bridge but he'd be there waiting for her. Stepping inside and leaving the lights dimmed for now. Going to check and see what kind of liquor she'd stocked back up.

Jen emerged from her work area in track pants and a tank top, curiosity in her expression. She was also reading the body language,…

"Sunfire, you are cleared for a synchronous orbit" the efficient voice of the planetary starship movements officer announced crisply before closing the channel, leaving the screen with a splendid view of the blue, green and white planet gently turning below them.

"Plotting orbital approach. We've been cleared to dock at the Starbase, locking in controls for unattended approach." Jenna declared firmly. "All stations report station keeping once docking sequence is complete."

"Alright everyone, you have shore leave for the next 48 hours as per the schedule posted" Captain Kaylen Rhenora said simply, rising from the center chair as the Sunfire…

She stepped.

The world opened to meet her, and she entered it.

Air rose around her body, not as presence, a force that pressed along her limbs and chest, shaping itself against her as gravity claimed its due. The first seconds stretched, lengthened, expanded into something vast enough to hold every sensation at once. Her stomach lifted, her spine aligned instinctively, her arms angled outward as training surfaced through muscle memory and repetition.

She fell.

Her body rotated with subtle intention, hips adjusting, shoulders leveling, her gaze fixing on the horizon instead of the drop beneath her. Wind intensified, building…

For a heartbeat, the universe held still. Then everything happened at once. The lights strobed erratically, caught between settings, turning the entire room into a pulsing riot of color that somehow synced perfectly with the band’s tempo. The feedback squealed, then resolved into something almost intentional as the musicians, bless their chaotic souls, leaned into it without missing stride. The crowd roared, assuming brilliance where only physics and poor decisions had conspired.

Bonnie stood off to the side of it all, one hand still hovering in the air like it might undo the last 30 seconds if she moved it…

Upper Ascent

The mountain narrowed its tolerance the higher she climbed, as though it chose to measure her in smaller and smaller truths. Holds thinned into suggestion, edges pressed into her fingertips with the quiet demand of precision, and the wall leaned away just enough to remind her that gravity had been patient the entire time. Wind threaded itself through the rock face and found her, slipping beneath fabric, tugging at balance, asking questions her muscles answered without hesitation.

Her forearms began to speak first, a deep tightening that bloomed into heat, then into something sharper, something that asked for…

» Personal Log - Early Observations

Personal log, Lieutenant JG Rowan Hale.

Several weeks have passed since I reported aboard the USS Sunfire. The distinction between days has already begun to erode, replaced by duty rotations, alert tones, and the constant vibration of the engines through the deckplates. This is a familiar phenomenon. I have experienced it before. The recurrence is… notable.

Assuming the role of Chief Medical Officer has proceeded with fewer complications than anticipated. That does not imply the absence of scrutiny. Lieutenant Commander Aurora Vali has proven invaluable in both administrative and clinical matters. Her insight into crew psychology is precise and uncomfortably…

» USS Sunfire — Acting Command Log - Bajoran Satellite Transfer

Posted on Fri Dec 5th, 2025 @ 6:38pm by Commander Jenna Ramthorne

Commander Jenna Lee Ramthorne, Bridge

Orbital track remains stable over Bajor’s northern hemisphere. Power levels nominal, comm buoy array holding lock. Current duty shift cycling cleanly.

At 1427 hours, Deep Space Nine signaled priority contact. Colonel Kira Nerys appeared on main viewer. Her report was short and to the point: the replacement control satellite had passed all station-level diagnostics and was ready for handover. Requested Sunfire to retrieve, position, and complete final activation protocols. Authorization codes transmitted and verified.

Acknowledged the order and initiated retrieval preparations.

Helm plotted a straight-line course from our current orbital anchor to DS9 at three-quarter…

Personal Log, Leo Da’Cinci — Supplemental
(Confidential. Not for official record. If ye’re readin’ this, put it back where ye found it, or I’ll throttle ye with me own spanner.)

I woke up this mornin’ to the bloody computer chirpin’ in me ear again. 0600 hours sharp, no mercy, no consideration. “Good mornin’, Lieutenant Da’Cinci,” it says, as though I’m about to spring out of bed with a smile. Ha! I roll over, mumble a curse or three, and slap the console ‘til it shuts up. Truth be told, if the ship herself didn’t need me, I’d never leave the…

Personal Log:
Entry 2

The transfer to the USS Sunfire is still pending. The ship hasn't arrived at Deep Space 9 yet, and so I am left to wait. I've been spending my time in my quarters, staring out the window at the endless parade of vessels docked at the station's ring. My gaze keeps drifting back to my own ship, the Achilles-class I brought here, a testament to my own work. Seeing it so close only makes my current assignment feel more… ordinary.
I have been officially assigned the position of Chief Strategic Operations Officer. In a time of…

Posted on Sun Aug 10th, 2025 @ 3:19am by Ensign Kitiuas Thenis ie-Jia'anKahr

Kitiuas stepped into her new quarters, much larger do to the fact it was designated for family.
Kasso looked up from the kitchen nook 'Well you look like a warmed over korgasant." said Kasso as she stirred something in the Orion firepot in front of her. Kit could smell the rich spices and sizzling food and smiled.
Kit replied, "I feel like a warmed over korasant. I need to take a shower before I nurse . Where is Astraea by the way?"
Kasso nodded to the side of the counter, there was a small Orion rocker crib. "I finally got…
