I do believe it is Independence Day for my Northern living crew. I hope the day was filled with family and friends.
I also happens to be the 24th anniversary of this fleet forming. Yes we've been around THAT long, there are a handful of us who have been around since those early days.
Leaving thoughts of middle age and decrepitness aside, please see the below anniversary link..there's some cool stuff going on there :)

Mission: Character Development
Posted on Wed Jul 8th, 2026 @ 3:04pm by Remal Kajun
The transporter deposited them aboard the USS Sunfire with the familiar shimmer of blue light and the equally familiar hum of a starship returning to life around them. Fiji disappeared in an instant, replaced by polished deck plating, recycled air, and the steady heartbeat of the warp core beneath their feet. It felt strange how quickly paradise became memory. The warmth of the island still lingered upon their skin while Starfleet quietly settled itself back over their shoulders like a well worn uniform.
Rhenora's transformation happened almost immediately. She offered him a lingering kiss, squeezed Patina's tiny hand, then glanced…

Mission: Pirates!
Posted on Wed Jul 8th, 2026 @ 10:39am by Captain Rhenora Kaylen & Lieutenant Sarah Wilson & Commander Savar cha'Salik hei-Surak Talek-sen-deen & Commander Jenna Ramthorne & Commander Dean House & Lieutenant Commander Thriss Kla'ren & Lieutenant Commander Aurora Vali & Lieutenant JG Jacob Rosen & Lieutenant JG T'Lar & Lieutenant Commander Bonnie "Bon-Bon" Durnell
The Fijian islands and people had worked its magic, unwinding months of tension in a short week. Routine of meetings and crisis had been replaced with sunrise and sunset, the ebb and flow of the ocean, and the gentle caress of the sea breeze. Duty had called though, they were needed back out there, making the quadrant a safer place for everyone. Command wanted them ready to ship out in 24 hours. Completely doable with the current technology yet she hesitated, not wanting to break the spell.
She sat at the small console and connected to the Starfleet system, sending…

Mission: Character Development
Posted on Tue Jul 7th, 2026 @ 4:43pm by Commander Rosa Coy & Commander Jenna Ramthorne & Lieutenant Commander Bonnie "Bon-Bon" Durnell & Lieutenant Leo Da'Cinci
Leo rested the hyperspanner across one shoulder and gave the newly sealed access panel a single, satisfied pat with his hand. He circled the landing strut once more, eyes sweeping over fasteners, conduit spacing, and alignment marks before finally nodding to himself with the quiet confidence of someone who trusted his own standards more than anyone else's. "There," he declared. "She'll be a good girl now."
Rosa folded her arms and studied the shuttle as though expecting it to look different, but she saw nothing immediately. "So what changed?"
Leo shrugged as if the answer barely deserved the effort. "Practically…

Mission: Character Development
Posted on Tue Jul 7th, 2026 @ 4:21am by Captain Rhenora Kaylen & Remal Kajun & Patin
The days blurred into a relaxing rhythm of sun, breeze, food and sleep. It came without asking, they walked slower, talked slower, allowed things to come and go without bother. The sleepy Island quietly worked it's magic on tired bodies and minds, unravelling the months of tension with the sun and the breeze and hours of uninterrupted sleep.
Remal hadn't realized how tired he had been until he stopped being tired. It hadn't happened all at once. There had been no single morning where he woke feeling restored. Instead, the island had worked patiently, almost imperceptibly, stealing away exhaustion a…

Mission: Character Development
Posted on Mon Jul 6th, 2026 @ 7:47pm by Commander Rosa Coy & Commander Jenna Ramthorne & Lieutenant Commander Bonnie "Bon-Bon" Durnell & Lieutenant Leo Da'Cinci
Leo had already wriggled halfway beneath the shuttle before his commentary began. "So who thought hidin' the plasma manifold behind three service panels was a grand idea?" His voice echoed hollowly beneath the hull. "Ye've built a beautiful machine, Commander, an' then ye made every engineer have ta earn the privilege o' workin' on it."
Jenna looked up from her PADD without missing a beat. "I did."
"Aye, I gathered as much."
"I optimized the internal geometry."
Leo snorted. "Ye optimized my blood pressure."
Bonnie's shoulders lifted almost imperceptibly as she concentrated very hard on pretending the computer core had…

Personal log, Lieutenant JG Rowan Hale.
Several weeks have passed since I reported aboard the USS Sunfire. The distinction between days has already begun to erode, replaced by duty rotations, alert tones, and the constant vibration of the engines through the deckplates. This is a familiar phenomenon. I have experienced it before. The recurrence is… notable.
Assuming the role of Chief Medical Officer has proceeded with fewer complications than anticipated. That does not imply the absence of scrutiny. Lieutenant Commander Aurora Vali has proven invaluable in both administrative and clinical matters. Her insight into crew psychology is precise and uncomfortably…
» USS Sunfire — Acting Command Log - Bajoran Satellite Transfer
Posted on Fri Dec 5th, 2025 @ 6:38pm by Commander Jenna Ramthorne
Commander Jenna Lee Ramthorne, Bridge
Orbital track remains stable over Bajor’s northern hemisphere. Power levels nominal, comm buoy array holding lock. Current duty shift cycling cleanly.
At 1427 hours, Deep Space Nine signaled priority contact. Colonel Kira Nerys appeared on main viewer. Her report was short and to the point: the replacement control satellite had passed all station-level diagnostics and was ready for handover. Requested Sunfire to retrieve, position, and complete final activation protocols. Authorization codes transmitted and verified.
Acknowledged the order and initiated retrieval preparations.
Helm plotted a straight-line course from our current orbital anchor to DS9 at three-quarter…

Personal Log, Leo Da’Cinci — Supplemental
(Confidential. Not for official record. If ye’re readin’ this, put it back where ye found it, or I’ll throttle ye with me own spanner.)
I woke up this mornin’ to the bloody computer chirpin’ in me ear again. 0600 hours sharp, no mercy, no consideration. “Good mornin’, Lieutenant Da’Cinci,” it says, as though I’m about to spring out of bed with a smile. Ha! I roll over, mumble a curse or three, and slap the console ‘til it shuts up. Truth be told, if the ship herself didn’t need me, I’d never leave the…

Personal Log:
Entry 2
The transfer to the USS Sunfire is still pending. The ship hasn't arrived at Deep Space 9 yet, and so I am left to wait. I've been spending my time in my quarters, staring out the window at the endless parade of vessels docked at the station's ring. My gaze keeps drifting back to my own ship, the Achilles-class I brought here, a testament to my own work. Seeing it so close only makes my current assignment feel more… ordinary.
I have been officially assigned the position of Chief Strategic Operations Officer. In a time of…

Kitiuas stepped into her new quarters, much larger do to the fact it was designated for family.
Kasso looked up from the kitchen nook 'Well you look like a warmed over korgasant." said Kasso as she stirred something in the Orion firepot in front of her. Kit could smell the rich spices and sizzling food and smiled.
Kit replied, "I feel like a warmed over korasant. I need to take a shower before I nurse . Where is Astraea by the way?"
Kasso nodded to the side of the counter, there was a small Orion rocker crib. "I finally got…
