I do believe it is Independence Day for my Northern living crew. I hope the day was filled with family and friends.
I also happens to be the 24th anniversary of this fleet forming. Yes we've been around THAT long, there are a handful of us who have been around since those early days.
Leaving thoughts of middle age and decrepitness aside, please see the below anniversary link..there's some cool stuff going on there :)

Mission: Character Development
Posted on Mon May 25th, 2026 @ 4:53pm by Commodore S'thenosis Gorgox
The office of Admiral Gjyn occupied one of the upper administrative tiers of Starfleet Command, positioned high enough above San Francisco Bay that the late evening haze softened the coastline into bands of muted gold and blue beyond the broad windows. The room itself reflected the Admiral precisely; structured without ornament, severe without elegance, every surface arranged with the kind of exacting discipline that suggested a man who mistrusted spontaneity as a professional weakness.
Commodore S’thenosis Gorgox stood before his desk with composed stillness, the completed report padd resting within her hands while the Admiral reviewed its contents in silence.…

Mission: Character Development
Posted on Sun May 24th, 2026 @ 3:19am by Captain Marie Batel & Patin
The compassionate side of Marie wanted to follow Patin straight away to let her know she wasn't alone in her discomfort. The Captain side of her told her to wait a few moments to let the weight and the anget settle.
The ion storm continued to fire, and Marie moved towards it, seeing Patin like the conductor, throwing fire and thunder around as though it were hers solely to command.
"You'll have to show me how you do that" she quipped by way of alerting Patin to her presence.
The storm answered before Patin did.
Blue-white lightning split across the…

Spacedock
Captain Kaylen Rhenora walked into the busy medical facility in the Earth Spacedock, seeing a large portion of her crew already there. It warmed her heart that they were all being looked after quickly, so that they could enjoy the shore leave they had been promised before.
" Captain - over here please" one of the medic's steered her to a biobed and indicated that she lie down, allowing the sensors to do their thing and assess her injuries from a comfortable position.
Rhenora rested, allowing her eyes to close and the gentle hubbub of people doing their jobs…

The bridge does not calm down after the shear.
The Veyra steadies beneath us in uneven pulses, each vibration carrying through the deck plating with just enough force that I can feel the strain still buried inside the relays. Somewhere behind the walls, coolant systems cycle harder than before. The air smells faintly metallic now, warmed circuitry and overworked plasma lines mixing into something sharp enough that I taste it every time I breathe too deeply.
Lieutenant Kade keeps one hand resting lightly against the helm controls as if he no longer fully trusts the ship to hold course on…

Mission: Character Development
Posted on Sat May 23rd, 2026 @ 10:35am by Lieutenant JG T'Lar & Lieutenant JG Jacob Rosen
T'Lar and Jacob made good time, each stopping at their quarters to gather a bag of clothing and sundry items to last a few days, before rushing off to the transporter and beaming back to the site of their first romantic rendezvous. After dropping their bags off at their room they made their way to the beach adjacent to Conference Center.
A cold breeze was blowing across the lake making little white caps, as sand and pebbles crunched under the soles of their footwear. The sun was setting not over the water, for they were on the western shore of…

Personal log, Lieutenant JG Rowan Hale.
Several weeks have passed since I reported aboard the USS Sunfire. The distinction between days has already begun to erode, replaced by duty rotations, alert tones, and the constant vibration of the engines through the deckplates. This is a familiar phenomenon. I have experienced it before. The recurrence is… notable.
Assuming the role of Chief Medical Officer has proceeded with fewer complications than anticipated. That does not imply the absence of scrutiny. Lieutenant Commander Aurora Vali has proven invaluable in both administrative and clinical matters. Her insight into crew psychology is precise and uncomfortably…
» USS Sunfire — Acting Command Log - Bajoran Satellite Transfer

Commander Jenna Lee Ramthorne, Bridge
Orbital track remains stable over Bajor’s northern hemisphere. Power levels nominal, comm buoy array holding lock. Current duty shift cycling cleanly.
At 1427 hours, Deep Space Nine signaled priority contact. Colonel Kira Nerys appeared on main viewer. Her report was short and to the point: the replacement control satellite had passed all station-level diagnostics and was ready for handover. Requested Sunfire to retrieve, position, and complete final activation protocols. Authorization codes transmitted and verified.
Acknowledged the order and initiated retrieval preparations.
Helm plotted a straight-line course from our current orbital anchor to DS9 at three-quarter…

Personal Log, Leo Da’Cinci — Supplemental
(Confidential. Not for official record. If ye’re readin’ this, put it back where ye found it, or I’ll throttle ye with me own spanner.)
I woke up this mornin’ to the bloody computer chirpin’ in me ear again. 0600 hours sharp, no mercy, no consideration. “Good mornin’, Lieutenant Da’Cinci,” it says, as though I’m about to spring out of bed with a smile. Ha! I roll over, mumble a curse or three, and slap the console ‘til it shuts up. Truth be told, if the ship herself didn’t need me, I’d never leave the…

Personal Log:
Entry 2
The transfer to the USS Sunfire is still pending. The ship hasn't arrived at Deep Space 9 yet, and so I am left to wait. I've been spending my time in my quarters, staring out the window at the endless parade of vessels docked at the station's ring. My gaze keeps drifting back to my own ship, the Achilles-class I brought here, a testament to my own work. Seeing it so close only makes my current assignment feel more… ordinary.
I have been officially assigned the position of Chief Strategic Operations Officer. In a time of…

Kitiuas stepped into her new quarters, much larger do to the fact it was designated for family.
Kasso looked up from the kitchen nook 'Well you look like a warmed over korgasant." said Kasso as she stirred something in the Orion firepot in front of her. Kit could smell the rich spices and sizzling food and smiled.
Kit replied, "I feel like a warmed over korasant. I need to take a shower before I nurse . Where is Astraea by the way?"
Kasso nodded to the side of the counter, there was a small Orion rocker crib. "I finally got…
