I do believe it is Independence Day for my Northern living crew. I hope the day was filled with family and friends.

I also happens to be the 24th anniversary of this fleet forming. Yes we've been around THAT long, there are a handful of us who have been around since those early days.

Leaving thoughts of middle age and decrepitness aside, please see the below anniversary link..there's some cool stuff going on there :)

A pursuit reveals more than a confrontation ever could; in the act of chasing, intent is stripped of rhetoric, and what remains is the truth of what one is willing to justify in motion.

USS Sunfire

The bridge doors parted with their usual restraint, admitting Commodore S’thenosis Gorgox without announcement and without disruption to the ongoing pursuit. She did not immediately advance. For a brief, measured moment she remained at the threshold, her presence settling into the space as though aligning itself with the rhythm of the room. The Sunfire moved with controlled urgency, stations alive with quiet intensity, officers…

Mission: Character Development
Posted on Fri Apr 17th, 2026 @ 8:03pm by Commander Jenna Ramthorne & Commander Rosa Coy

Evening settled across Paris with a slow ignition of light that traced the streets in gold and reflection, the city drawing breath as windows brightened and voices gathered along narrow avenues. Rosa moved through it with a measured pace, her body carrying the quiet reminders of injury with each step while something beneath that surface leaned toward warmth, toward contact, toward the simple act of being among the living without the sterile distance of controlled recovery.

She chose a café that spilled gently onto the street, its tables close enough to invite observation without demanding participation. The faint script of…

Mission: Character Development
Posted on Wed Apr 15th, 2026 @ 2:20am by Commander Jenna Ramthorne & Commander Rosa Coy

Rosa stepped out into open air that carried the faint chill of northern morning, the sky stretched wide above her in a pale wash of light that softened the edges of everything it touched. The world moved at a different pace here, quieter, less insistent, as if time itself had decided to loosen its grip.

She paused just beyond the facility doors and drew in a measured breath, feeling it settle into her lungs with a steadiness that came easier now. Her ribs answered with a muted ache, present and consistent, a reminder that her body still held the memory…

» The Edge to Trollveggen The Fracture

Mission: Character Development
Posted on Mon Apr 13th, 2026 @ 2:36pm by Commander Jenna Ramthorne & Commander Rosa Coy

Time passed into evening.

The door opened again with a controlled, deliberate motion that carried a different kind of presence into the room. Rosa felt it before she turned her head, the shift in atmosphere settling into place as Commander Jenna Ramthorne entered alongside a Starfleet medical officer. Their posture carried purpose, their attention already engaged, the space adjusting around them in quiet recognition of authority.

Jenna approached first, her expression composed, though her eyes moved with careful precision as they took in Rosa’s condition. The medical officer remained just behind her shoulder, hands loosely clasped, gaze already flicking toward…

Day 2

Morning arrived quietly, filtering into the room through a softened gradient of light that replaced the clinical brightness of the night before with something gentler, though no less controlled. Rosa surfaced into it with a steadier awareness, her consciousness rising without resistance this time, settling into her body as if reacquainting itself with familiar territory that still carried new limits.

Her breath moved more easily, though each expansion of her ribs reminded her of the boundaries she now occupied. The ache remained, dull and consistent, no longer demanding her full attention yet refusing to fade into the background.…

» Personal Log - Early Observations

Posted on Mon Jan 26th, 2026 @ 1:56pm by Lieutenant JG Rowan Hale

Personal log, Lieutenant JG Rowan Hale.

Several weeks have passed since I reported aboard the USS Sunfire. The distinction between days has already begun to erode, replaced by duty rotations, alert tones, and the constant vibration of the engines through the deckplates. This is a familiar phenomenon. I have experienced it before. The recurrence is… notable.

Assuming the role of Chief Medical Officer has proceeded with fewer complications than anticipated. That does not imply the absence of scrutiny. Lieutenant Commander Aurora Vali has proven invaluable in both administrative and clinical matters. Her insight into crew psychology is precise and uncomfortably…

» USS Sunfire — Acting Command Log - Bajoran Satellite Transfer

Posted on Fri Dec 5th, 2025 @ 6:38pm by Commander Jenna Ramthorne

Commander Jenna Lee Ramthorne, Bridge

Orbital track remains stable over Bajor’s northern hemisphere. Power levels nominal, comm buoy array holding lock. Current duty shift cycling cleanly.

At 1427 hours, Deep Space Nine signaled priority contact. Colonel Kira Nerys appeared on main viewer. Her report was short and to the point: the replacement control satellite had passed all station-level diagnostics and was ready for handover. Requested Sunfire to retrieve, position, and complete final activation protocols. Authorization codes transmitted and verified.

Acknowledged the order and initiated retrieval preparations.

Helm plotted a straight-line course from our current orbital anchor to DS9 at three-quarter…

Personal Log, Leo Da’Cinci — Supplemental
(Confidential. Not for official record. If ye’re readin’ this, put it back where ye found it, or I’ll throttle ye with me own spanner.)

I woke up this mornin’ to the bloody computer chirpin’ in me ear again. 0600 hours sharp, no mercy, no consideration. “Good mornin’, Lieutenant Da’Cinci,” it says, as though I’m about to spring out of bed with a smile. Ha! I roll over, mumble a curse or three, and slap the console ‘til it shuts up. Truth be told, if the ship herself didn’t need me, I’d never leave the…

Personal Log:
Entry 2

The transfer to the USS Sunfire is still pending. The ship hasn't arrived at Deep Space 9 yet, and so I am left to wait. I've been spending my time in my quarters, staring out the window at the endless parade of vessels docked at the station's ring. My gaze keeps drifting back to my own ship, the Achilles-class I brought here, a testament to my own work. Seeing it so close only makes my current assignment feel more… ordinary.
I have been officially assigned the position of Chief Strategic Operations Officer. In a time of…

Posted on Sun Aug 10th, 2025 @ 3:19am by Ensign Kitiuas Thenis ie-Jia'anKahr

Kitiuas stepped into her new quarters, much larger do to the fact it was designated for family.
Kasso looked up from the kitchen nook 'Well you look like a warmed over korgasant." said Kasso as she stirred something in the Orion firepot in front of her. Kit could smell the rich spices and sizzling food and smiled.
Kit replied, "I feel like a warmed over korasant. I need to take a shower before I nurse . Where is Astraea by the way?"
Kasso nodded to the side of the counter, there was a small Orion rocker crib. "I finally got…
