I do believe it is Independence Day for my Northern living crew. I hope the day was filled with family and friends.

I also happens to be the 24th anniversary of this fleet forming. Yes we've been around THAT long, there are a handful of us who have been around since those early days.

Leaving thoughts of middle age and decrepitness aside, please see the below anniversary link..there's some cool stuff going on there :)

“Victory is not the moment the enemy falls. It is the moment you decide the chaos no longer owns you.”

Nausicaan Raider Vessel

The deck plates of the raider vibrated in uneven pulses, a low, agitated hum that traveled up through feet and into bone. Consoles flickered in sickly bursts of light, then dimmed again as if something unseen pressed against the ship’s systems and refused to let go.

On the main display, the USS Sunfire hung in the field like wounded prey, her hull darkened, movement sluggish, drifting where the asteroids guided her. Around her, the hunt had slowed.…

Mission: Pirates!
Posted on Fri May 8th, 2026 @ 10:55pm by Commander Jennifer Baldric & Lieutenant JG T'Lar & Lieutenant Commander Bonnie "Bon-Bon" Durnell & Remal Kajun

“A prisoner is not taken for what they are… but for what they can be made to give.”

The I.S.S. Sunfire cut through warp with quiet certainty, her engines holding a steady, predatory rhythm as starlight stretched thin beyond the hull. The ship had already shed the chaos of the hunt, leaving behind only purpose. A course locked. A destination waiting. Two hours remained.

Within the holding compartment, the lighting stayed low by design, enough to see, never enough to soften. The space carried a deliberate emptiness, broken only by the hum of containment fields and the presence of tools…

“Most Boarding actions rarely begin with courage, but rather something weaker... a moment where the lights dim and everyone realizes they are suddenly mortal.”

U.S.S. Sunfire

The USS Sunfire drifted through the asteroid field with wounded grace, her great hull moving on fading momentum as the last of her shield envelope collapsed into darkness. A ripple of failing light rolled across the ship’s surface before vanishing entirely, leaving only the cold gleam of emergency illumination flickering through scattered viewports.

Inside the vessel, the deck itself carried a subtle vibration beneath every footstep, the sound of a ship fighting to keep…

Mission: Beholder
Posted on Wed May 6th, 2026 @ 4:09am by Captain Marie Batel & Patin

Patin had thrown down the gauntlet, a challenge issued by one who realised that her time to pass on knowledge to a successor may be limited.

"Test the limits?" Maris asked, looking around for their overseers. "In what way?"

Pointing at the outpost, Patin commented, "Those look like a pair of enemy ships. We could lob rocks at them, plenty available. Or we can mess with their firing capabilities." A smirk crossed her face, "Ever stick a Jumbja fruit up an exhaust port? Wicked funny. Creates a power blowback, chokes the engine."

"The battlefield is our playground. We could wait…

“The most dangerous moment isn’t the attack… it’s the instant before, when you think you’re untouchable.”

The USS Sunfire eased away from the inner cluster, thrusters whispering in careful bursts as she turned to leave the asteroid field behind her. Her silhouette slipped between drifting stone, each movement measured, each adjustment deliberate as she navigated the narrowing gaps. The field pressed close around her, uneven and cluttered, a place that demanded patience. Beyond it, the remains of the old trader outpost hung in the distance, its structure fractured and hollow, a carcass of metal left to drift in quiet decay.…

» Personal Log - Early Observations

Posted on Mon Jan 26th, 2026 @ 1:56pm by Lieutenant JG Rowan Hale

Personal log, Lieutenant JG Rowan Hale.

Several weeks have passed since I reported aboard the USS Sunfire. The distinction between days has already begun to erode, replaced by duty rotations, alert tones, and the constant vibration of the engines through the deckplates. This is a familiar phenomenon. I have experienced it before. The recurrence is… notable.

Assuming the role of Chief Medical Officer has proceeded with fewer complications than anticipated. That does not imply the absence of scrutiny. Lieutenant Commander Aurora Vali has proven invaluable in both administrative and clinical matters. Her insight into crew psychology is precise and uncomfortably…

» USS Sunfire — Acting Command Log - Bajoran Satellite Transfer

Posted on Fri Dec 5th, 2025 @ 6:38pm by Commander Jenna Ramthorne

Commander Jenna Lee Ramthorne, Bridge

Orbital track remains stable over Bajor’s northern hemisphere. Power levels nominal, comm buoy array holding lock. Current duty shift cycling cleanly.

At 1427 hours, Deep Space Nine signaled priority contact. Colonel Kira Nerys appeared on main viewer. Her report was short and to the point: the replacement control satellite had passed all station-level diagnostics and was ready for handover. Requested Sunfire to retrieve, position, and complete final activation protocols. Authorization codes transmitted and verified.

Acknowledged the order and initiated retrieval preparations.

Helm plotted a straight-line course from our current orbital anchor to DS9 at three-quarter…

Personal Log, Leo Da’Cinci — Supplemental
(Confidential. Not for official record. If ye’re readin’ this, put it back where ye found it, or I’ll throttle ye with me own spanner.)

I woke up this mornin’ to the bloody computer chirpin’ in me ear again. 0600 hours sharp, no mercy, no consideration. “Good mornin’, Lieutenant Da’Cinci,” it says, as though I’m about to spring out of bed with a smile. Ha! I roll over, mumble a curse or three, and slap the console ‘til it shuts up. Truth be told, if the ship herself didn’t need me, I’d never leave the…

Personal Log:
Entry 2

The transfer to the USS Sunfire is still pending. The ship hasn't arrived at Deep Space 9 yet, and so I am left to wait. I've been spending my time in my quarters, staring out the window at the endless parade of vessels docked at the station's ring. My gaze keeps drifting back to my own ship, the Achilles-class I brought here, a testament to my own work. Seeing it so close only makes my current assignment feel more… ordinary.
I have been officially assigned the position of Chief Strategic Operations Officer. In a time of…

Kitiuas stepped into her new quarters, much larger do to the fact it was designated for family.
Kasso looked up from the kitchen nook 'Well you look like a warmed over korgasant." said Kasso as she stirred something in the Orion firepot in front of her. Kit could smell the rich spices and sizzling food and smiled.
Kit replied, "I feel like a warmed over korasant. I need to take a shower before I nurse . Where is Astraea by the way?"
Kasso nodded to the side of the counter, there was a small Orion rocker crib. "I finally got…
