I do believe it is Independence Day for my Northern living crew. I hope the day was filled with family and friends.
I also happens to be the 24th anniversary of this fleet forming. Yes we've been around THAT long, there are a handful of us who have been around since those early days.
Leaving thoughts of middle age and decrepitness aside, please see the below anniversary link..there's some cool stuff going on there :)

Mission: Character Development
Posted on Fri Apr 3rd, 2026 @ 1:15pm by Lieutenant JG T'Lar
T’Lar stepped off of the transporter pad clad in a black vegan leather riding suit, motorcycle boots, gloves, rider’s backpack and helmet. She strode across the tarmac to the Starfleet Motorpool officer who was waiting for her with her ride.
“Lieutenant T’Lar?” the Bollian ensign asked
“Yes, I am T’Lar,” she repliled.
“Are you sure you want one of these wheeled bikes? I mean its a newer model but I could get you into a hover bike no problem if you want. Cut your travel time in half, and its a helluva lot smoother ride…”

Mission: Character Development
Posted on Fri Apr 3rd, 2026 @ 6:17am by Lieutenant JG Rowan Hale
The shift change was usually the quietest part of the day, but lately, the silence in Sickbay had felt heavy in general. Rowan stood at the replicator, his back to the room, staring and waiting for his standard black coffee. He took a sip as his eyes tracked the readout of a nearby monitor.
"You're drinking recycled battery acid Doctor and I've got a burn. Seems we've both got problems." a gravelly voice rasped from the doorway.
"It is chemically consistent with a standard caffeine delivery system," Rowan replied turning around. The scent reached him first - burnt insulation and…

Mission: Character Development

Trust
The Temple changed again.
This time it did not press. It receded.
Space widened. Light softened. The geometry loosened its grip, as if relevance itself had stepped back half a pace. Patin noticed immediately. She always did when rooms stopped caring whether she was centered in them.
She folded her arms. “That’s new,” she said, slower this time, eyes narrowing as the space gave ground without asking her what she thought about it.
Trust requires distance.
Patin’s gaze sharpened. “Distance for who?” she asked, quiet, pointed.
The floor beneath Patin shifted, not away, just elsewhere. The familiar sense of…

T'Lar's quarters
3 hours following the party at the Pip and a Half club
T'Lar was in a deep sleep when suddenly she was awakened by a loud cracking noise. Starting from her sleep she told the computer to turn on the lights as she looked around for the source of the sound. T'Lar was familiar with the phenomenon known as "exploding head" syndrome where people sometimes were awakened by loud noises that were caused by misfiring neurons in the brain, but she'd never experienced it herself. Just as she was about to convince herself that that explanation was most…

Mission: Character Development

The Observation Lounge was nearly dark. Late enough that the rest of the ship had settled into its Night Cycle hum. It had been just over a month since Rowan and Elara had met and had spent practically every day together since, sharing meals, meeting for coffee between shifts.
Elara sat angled towards him, one leg tucked under her, her PADD a dark, forgotten rectangle on the table. She'd been watching him for five minutes before she spoke.
"You're distracted," she said.
"I'm listening," Rowan replied, his gaze fixed on the viewport.
"That's not the same."
Rowan…

Personal log, Lieutenant JG Rowan Hale.
Several weeks have passed since I reported aboard the USS Sunfire. The distinction between days has already begun to erode, replaced by duty rotations, alert tones, and the constant vibration of the engines through the deckplates. This is a familiar phenomenon. I have experienced it before. The recurrence is… notable.
Assuming the role of Chief Medical Officer has proceeded with fewer complications than anticipated. That does not imply the absence of scrutiny. Lieutenant Commander Aurora Vali has proven invaluable in both administrative and clinical matters. Her insight into crew psychology is precise and uncomfortably…
» USS Sunfire — Acting Command Log - Bajoran Satellite Transfer
Posted on Fri Dec 5th, 2025 @ 6:38pm by Commander Jenna Ramthorne
Commander Jenna Lee Ramthorne, Bridge
Orbital track remains stable over Bajor’s northern hemisphere. Power levels nominal, comm buoy array holding lock. Current duty shift cycling cleanly.
At 1427 hours, Deep Space Nine signaled priority contact. Colonel Kira Nerys appeared on main viewer. Her report was short and to the point: the replacement control satellite had passed all station-level diagnostics and was ready for handover. Requested Sunfire to retrieve, position, and complete final activation protocols. Authorization codes transmitted and verified.
Acknowledged the order and initiated retrieval preparations.
Helm plotted a straight-line course from our current orbital anchor to DS9 at three-quarter…

Personal Log, Leo Da’Cinci — Supplemental
(Confidential. Not for official record. If ye’re readin’ this, put it back where ye found it, or I’ll throttle ye with me own spanner.)
I woke up this mornin’ to the bloody computer chirpin’ in me ear again. 0600 hours sharp, no mercy, no consideration. “Good mornin’, Lieutenant Da’Cinci,” it says, as though I’m about to spring out of bed with a smile. Ha! I roll over, mumble a curse or three, and slap the console ‘til it shuts up. Truth be told, if the ship herself didn’t need me, I’d never leave the…

Personal Log:
Entry 2
The transfer to the USS Sunfire is still pending. The ship hasn't arrived at Deep Space 9 yet, and so I am left to wait. I've been spending my time in my quarters, staring out the window at the endless parade of vessels docked at the station's ring. My gaze keeps drifting back to my own ship, the Achilles-class I brought here, a testament to my own work. Seeing it so close only makes my current assignment feel more… ordinary.
I have been officially assigned the position of Chief Strategic Operations Officer. In a time of…

Kitiuas stepped into her new quarters, much larger do to the fact it was designated for family.
Kasso looked up from the kitchen nook 'Well you look like a warmed over korgasant." said Kasso as she stirred something in the Orion firepot in front of her. Kit could smell the rich spices and sizzling food and smiled.
Kit replied, "I feel like a warmed over korasant. I need to take a shower before I nurse . Where is Astraea by the way?"
Kasso nodded to the side of the counter, there was a small Orion rocker crib. "I finally got…
