I do believe it is Independence Day for my Northern living crew. I hope the day was filled with family and friends.

I also happens to be the 24th anniversary of this fleet forming. Yes we've been around THAT long, there are a handful of us who have been around since those early days.

Leaving thoughts of middle age and decrepitness aside, please see the below anniversary link..there's some cool stuff going on there :)

Mission: Character Development
Posted on Thu Sep 25th, 2025 @ 1:21am by Commander Rosa Coy

The Sunfire’s Type 11 shuttles had cleared the edge of the Badlands’ jagged asteroid belts like skaters threading blades through ice. The cadets, each in their assigned shuttle, rotated positions as Rosa commanded from her own cockpit ahead of the formation.

“Alright,” Rosa’s voice cut through the comm channels, crisp and low. “Sensors report reactive gas pockets ahead. You’ll need to adjust vector and thrust on the fly. Remember: only one shuttle can make a safe approach at a time, so prioritize your assignments. Lead when assigned, follow when ordered. Eyes forward, brains online.”

A sigh of tension ran through…

Mission: For Bajor!
Posted on Wed Sep 24th, 2025 @ 11:28pm by Commander Jennifer Baldric & Commander Dean House & Ensign Kitiuas Thenis ie-Jia'anKahr & Lieutenant Commander Bonnie "Bon-Bon" Durnell

In the middle of the confusion, Commander House had ended up finding the Mirror Coy after making sure Baldric was alive. In one way, it would have been a spectical of a fight between the two. The movements only have been seen between the sparks that were showering the room. There was no real way to tell who was winning. Which was in itself interesting given Dean's history for head long taking on groups of opponents and even if injured, coming out on top at the end. It shouldn't have taken that long to deal with just one person. After…

Mission: Character Development
Posted on Wed Sep 24th, 2025 @ 1:02am by Commander Rosa Coy

The cadets’ shuttles knifed through open space in staggered formation, Rosa’s Type-11 leading like a shepherd. The stars beyond shimmered with deceptive calm; ahead, the ragged red and gold clouds of the Badlands churned like an angry sea. Plasma storms arced in violent bursts, and the debris of centuries of wrecks still drifted like predators waiting for prey.

“Cadets,” Rosa’s voice carried over the comm net, crisp but not unkind. “Consider this your first exam question: when the universe stops playing nice, do you lean on protocol or on instinct? You’re about to find out. Pairs will rotate leadership responsibilities…

Shuttlebay Launch Prep

The Sunfire’s shuttlebay thrummed with low-level vibrations, a subtle hum that spoke to the warp core’s readiness. Type 11 Shuttles lined the docking pads in neat rows, engines idling like wild horses awaiting the signal. Rosa Coy stood at the center, arms crossed, her black eyes scanning the seven cadets with practiced precision. She radiated calm, though inside, Coy’s whispers slithered along her nerves, teasing at her awareness of every curve, every potential breach in control.

“Alright,” Rosa said, her voice deceptively soft for someone about to throw rookies into the Badlands, “you’ve all handled simulators. You’ve…

Mission: Character Development
Posted on Mon Sep 22nd, 2025 @ 12:40am by Commander Rosa Coy

Rosa stepped off the turbolift and onto the bustling promenade of DS9. Her boots felt heavier than usual, weighted by the adrenaline that still coursed through her system from the training exercise into the Badlands. The Badlands always brought danger, even in controlled conditions, and tonight she needed release. Not just rest — release. Coy lingered in the back of her mind, as always, whispering sharp-edged suggestions, pressing her with memories of every moment her heart had spiked during the mission.

The symbiont was almost cruel this evening, pushing images and cravings like a drug into Rosa’s system. She could…

Personal Log, Leo Da’Cinci — Supplemental
(Confidential. Not for official record. If ye’re readin’ this, put it back where ye found it, or I’ll throttle ye with me own spanner.)

I woke up this mornin’ to the bloody computer chirpin’ in me ear again. 0600 hours sharp, no mercy, no consideration. “Good mornin’, Lieutenant Da’Cinci,” it says, as though I’m about to spring out of bed with a smile. Ha! I roll over, mumble a curse or three, and slap the console ‘til it shuts up. Truth be told, if the ship herself didn’t need me, I’d never leave the…

Personal Log:
Entry 2

The transfer to the USS Sunfire is still pending. The ship hasn't arrived at Deep Space 9 yet, and so I am left to wait. I've been spending my time in my quarters, staring out the window at the endless parade of vessels docked at the station's ring. My gaze keeps drifting back to my own ship, the Achilles-class I brought here, a testament to my own work. Seeing it so close only makes my current assignment feel more… ordinary.
I have been officially assigned the position of Chief Strategic Operations Officer. In a time of…

» New Quarters and New beginnings

Posted on Sun Aug 10th, 2025 @ 3:19am by Ensign Kitiuas Thenis ie-Jia'anKahr

Kitiuas stepped into her new quarters, much larger do to the fact it was designated for family.
Kasso looked up from the kitchen nook 'Well you look like a warmed over korgasant." said Kasso as she stirred something in the Orion firepot in front of her. Kit could smell the rich spices and sizzling food and smiled.
Kit replied, "I feel like a warmed over korasant. I need to take a shower before I nurse . Where is Astraea by the way?"
Kasso nodded to the side of the counter, there was a small Orion rocker crib. "I finally got…

Alright, here it is. Quinn's final request before I ship out. A personal log. I’ve never seen the point of one of these. My memory is, and always has been, perfect. But I obliged. As I always do with him.
I'm packing now. Or, what passes for packing. The reality modulator is humming, folding my few possessions into pocket-sized singularities. A few tools, my meditation sphere, the memories. The memories are what feel heaviest.
It's strange, but the thought of this new post on the Sunfire brings everything back to the beginning. Or, rather, the end. My end. I still…

Personal Log, Stardate 49011.4
Admiral Quinn asked for a favor, and I've accepted. He feels I'm the right fit to serve aboard the USS Sunfire, an Akira-class vessel. They're short two officers: a Strategic Operations Officer and an Assistant Chief Engineer. Given my skills, the operations post is the natural choice.
The Sunfire is currently en route, and I'm to meet them at Deep Space 9. I've always admired the Akira-class design—sleek, powerful, and built for a fight. Serving on one, even temporarily, is a welcome opportunity. I’ve packed my gear and am looking forward to the challenge. I'll make…
