I do believe it is Independence Day for my Northern living crew. I hope the day was filled with family and friends.
I also happens to be the 24th anniversary of this fleet forming. Yes we've been around THAT long, there are a handful of us who have been around since those early days.
Leaving thoughts of middle age and decrepitness aside, please see the below anniversary link..there's some cool stuff going on there :)

Mission: Character Development

0730 Hours
The interior of the runabout was quiet save for the low hum of the environmental systems. Rosa stood at the head of the compartment, waiting just long enough for the six cadets to file in, fumble at their restraints, and settle. Her silence stretched, coiling tension around them like a tether.
When she finally spoke, her voice was clipped, each word deliberate. “Listen closely. This will be the only time I explain this in plain terms.”
Her eyes swept over them one by one, gauging who could meet her stare and who flinched away.
“You are here to…

Mission: For Bajor!
Posted on Tue Sep 2nd, 2025 @ 10:05pm by Captain Rhenora Kaylen & Commodore S'thenosis Gorgox
This wasn't a conversation that Captain Kaylen Rhenora looked forward to having. She knew deep down that there was risk, more than previous about turning up on Bajor and investigating something that was so clearly not a natural event. To the outsider, yes it looked like a bad dry spell. But to a Bajoran who had been through the dry times, and the wet, and the monsoons, and the icey times, this was not normal. Savar, Aurora and Remal would accompany her, and they would be meeting some trusted confidants on Bajor to mind the children. Still, something seemed off.…

The lights in Ops flickered as the Engineers attempted to fix the gravity problem elsewhere. Decades old patched together systems fighting them at every turn. More than once the lights across the entire station winked, causing Commander Baldric, who had met with Dean after his meeting with Kira some concern.
"So what's the deal? And don't say gremlins cos I think Kira could deal with gremlins" Jen smirked.
Dean glanced around a moment and then back to Jen, "I'm not sure. My thought was sabotage."
Baldric's face dropped before she quickly composed herself. "Well then, we best get investigating."
"That's…

Mission: Character Development
Posted on Tue Sep 2nd, 2025 @ 5:39pm by Commander Rosa Coy
The hum of the Sunfire’s shuttlebay greeted Commander Rosa Prilen Coy like an old friend, a sound she knew as well as her own heartbeat. The place reeked of ozone and lubricants, of ships hot from training cycles, of youth barely restrained by protocol. It smelled like her element.
She walked in at a measured pace, posture erect, chin neither lowered nor raised. No swagger, no fanfare, her stature alone didn’t invite it. She was diminutive compared to the bay’s bustle, but her presence was all bite, like a knife hidden in a velvet sheath.
Ahead, a familiar figure crossed…

Mission: Character Development
Posted on Tue Sep 2nd, 2025 @ 7:15am by Commander Jennifer Baldric & Commander Dean House
Since leaving the Bridge, Sickbay was his only focus and the direction he was headed. Technically this wasn't breaking their agreement about staying professional during duty hours. Sickbay doesn't count and he did wait until things calmed down before doing so. Still there now next to the Bio-bed that Jennifer was on. Simply waiting for her to wake up, holding her hand, giving the back of it a kiss.
Baldric stirred at the motion, feeling something make contact with her hand enough to rouse her from the cocktail of sedatives and painkillers they were using to keep her still while…

Personal Log, Leo Da’Cinci — Supplemental
(Confidential. Not for official record. If ye’re readin’ this, put it back where ye found it, or I’ll throttle ye with me own spanner.)
I woke up this mornin’ to the bloody computer chirpin’ in me ear again. 0600 hours sharp, no mercy, no consideration. “Good mornin’, Lieutenant Da’Cinci,” it says, as though I’m about to spring out of bed with a smile. Ha! I roll over, mumble a curse or three, and slap the console ‘til it shuts up. Truth be told, if the ship herself didn’t need me, I’d never leave the…

Personal Log:
Entry 2
The transfer to the USS Sunfire is still pending. The ship hasn't arrived at Deep Space 9 yet, and so I am left to wait. I've been spending my time in my quarters, staring out the window at the endless parade of vessels docked at the station's ring. My gaze keeps drifting back to my own ship, the Achilles-class I brought here, a testament to my own work. Seeing it so close only makes my current assignment feel more… ordinary.
I have been officially assigned the position of Chief Strategic Operations Officer. In a time of…

Kitiuas stepped into her new quarters, much larger do to the fact it was designated for family.
Kasso looked up from the kitchen nook 'Well you look like a warmed over korgasant." said Kasso as she stirred something in the Orion firepot in front of her. Kit could smell the rich spices and sizzling food and smiled.
Kit replied, "I feel like a warmed over korasant. I need to take a shower before I nurse . Where is Astraea by the way?"
Kasso nodded to the side of the counter, there was a small Orion rocker crib. "I finally got…

Alright, here it is. Quinn's final request before I ship out. A personal log. I’ve never seen the point of one of these. My memory is, and always has been, perfect. But I obliged. As I always do with him.
I'm packing now. Or, what passes for packing. The reality modulator is humming, folding my few possessions into pocket-sized singularities. A few tools, my meditation sphere, the memories. The memories are what feel heaviest.
It's strange, but the thought of this new post on the Sunfire brings everything back to the beginning. Or, rather, the end. My end. I still…

Personal Log, Stardate 49011.4
Admiral Quinn asked for a favor, and I've accepted. He feels I'm the right fit to serve aboard the USS Sunfire, an Akira-class vessel. They're short two officers: a Strategic Operations Officer and an Assistant Chief Engineer. Given my skills, the operations post is the natural choice.
The Sunfire is currently en route, and I'm to meet them at Deep Space 9. I've always admired the Akira-class design—sleek, powerful, and built for a fight. Serving on one, even temporarily, is a welcome opportunity. I’ve packed my gear and am looking forward to the challenge. I'll make…
