Personality & Traits

General Overview Commander Rosa Prilen Coy is a paradox: a gifted pilot with an almost reckless edge, a reluctant Trill host forced into a symbiont pairing she neither sought nor desired, and a woman negotiating the constant inner commentary of Coy, a centuries-old companion with its own vices and appetites. Rosa herself identifies fiercely as female, seeing her transition and affirmation as central to her personal truth. However, Coy — after five prior lifetimes in male hosts — resists this reality, manifesting in intrusive thoughts, commentary, and impulses that Rosa must constantly filter.

Together, Rosa and Coy have become adept manipulators of charm, using a combination of Rosa’s confidence and Coy’s sly observations to seduce and persuade. The relationship is less symbiotic harmony and more constant negotiation — though the two have formed a working alliance, especially when their combined instincts can be turned to advantage.
Strengths & Weaknesses Strengths

Exceptional Pilot: Rosa is a natural behind the helm, with reflexes honed both through instinct and symbiont memory. She excels in evasive maneuvers, shuttle operations, and precision flight under fire.

Combat-Ready: Skilled with small arms and close-quarters combat, she relishes proving that her size is no disadvantage.

Charm & Persuasion: Whether negotiating or seducing, Rosa/Coy’s combined charisma can disarm opponents or win allies in social settings.

Resilient Identity: Despite Coy’s invasive tendencies, Rosa has maintained her affirmed identity, refusing to let her life be rewritten by the symbiont.

Weaknesses

Symbiont Conflict: Coy’s constant commentary and fixation on women can disrupt Rosa’s focus, cause lapses in judgment, or create interpersonal complications.

Rebellion Against Destiny: Rosa resents being joined, leading to occasional reckless defiance of Trill cultural expectations and Starfleet protocol.

Addictive Tendencies: Coy’s inherited nymphomania bleeds into Rosa’s habits, leaving her vulnerable to destructive cycles of escapism and risky behavior.

Unresolved Trauma: The forced joining and loss of autonomy remain psychological sore points, fueling Rosa’s volatility.
Ambitions Rosa’s ambition is singular: to fly. Her sense of fulfillment comes not from rank or prestige, but from sitting at the helm of the most advanced vessels in Starfleet. She takes particular pride in mastering difficult ships or situations where others falter. Command aspirations hold little appeal — flight is her true calling.
Hobbies & Interests Reading: A habit from her pre-joined days, though less indulged now due to Coy’s incessant distractions.

Social Gamesmanship: Rosa and Coy often turn seduction into a “challenge” — finding the quietest, loneliest, or seemingly unattainable partner and persuading them home. Coy enforces its own “rules of conquest”.

Flying for Pleasure: Even off duty, Rosa seeks opportunities to take shuttles or fighters out, believing there’s no substitute for the feeling of flight.

Personal History Personal History

Rosa Prilen was born into a Trill family with little expectation she would be chosen for joining. Rebellious in youth, she found her purpose in piloting — a talent that carried her through Starfleet Academy and into service at Jupiter Station. She disliked the very idea of joining, believing others more deserving.

Her fate changed aboard the USS Intruder. When a joined Trill smuggler was mortally wounded, the Coy symbiont was transferred to Rosa in an emergency procedure. Overnight, her life changed. She inherited centuries of memories, skills, and baggage — including the unresolved nymphomania of Coy’s previous host, Handzon.

Since then, Rosa has served aboard multiple ships, her career advancing rapidly due to her skill at the helm, though always shadowed by the inner conflict with Coy. She has sought counseling and medical support, yet continues to resist fully integrating with the symbiont, insisting on her own path.

Symbiont History Coy:
1st Host: Azra (one who is pure) Jetichi (Jet for short) lived a rather boring, celibate life, devoted to education and spirituality. He never married, never had children and passed away in his 50s.

2nd Host: Hendrixi was a music lover first, family man second. His early life was spent seeking the right cord to play in order to bring peace and tranquility to the people of Tubi Prime. A skilled diplomat, he eventually took on a wife and had three children.

3rd Host: Alexzander was an engineer. Skilled in the art of aerodynamics and speed. He helped the people of Trill in the implementation of their first warp five engine. He lived and exceptionally long life span of 124 years old and managed to have three children, 16 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren. One of which managed to inherit the Coy symbiont upon his death.

4th Host: Blaze, Great-Grandchild of Alexzander. After dealing with the legality and emotional trauma of inheriting a symbiont that had seen through the eyes of a relative which went against the law, vowed to live a life apart from his heritage. In doing so he strived to Captain a starship. Eventually he reached this goal and took command of a Trill ship alongside the Federation as they battled the Ferengi and other species in the early 24th century. Through no fault of his own, Blaze was force retired, took ill at 69 and gave up the Coy symbiont to a young Handzon.

5th Host: Handzon lived a smugglers life, filled with drinking and women, lots and lots of women. Diagnosed with Nymphomania, he died in his early forties after avoiding capture by the law for much of his life. He illegally tainted the life of the symbiont which was unknown when it was implanted into Rosa.
