Mission: Halloween
Location: USS Sunfire
Timeline: Current

Several minutes later, the turbo lift stopped on deck one. The doors parted and Remal stepped out on his own, his eyes holding a slight green glow in the dark. In the red light of the bridge Remal could see several sets of eyes staring at him. "You called?" He asked with a smirk as he entered the bridge near the back where Bonnie and Alison sat.

Tom met Alie's gaze and got up and moved to the weapons locker and got himself a phaser. Better to be safe than sorry. As he got the weapon, he saw Remal step out onto the bridge. "Remal?" He questioned. "Are you alright?"

Alison was wary as Remal stepped onto the bridge, even more so as Thomas spoke to him.

"I'm fine Tom, thanks for asking." Remal casually answered though he would normally respond formally on the bridge per protocol. Instead of moving down to the front and center of the bridge Remal turned right and walked as though explaining something, slowly, casually. As he passed Alison he brushed against her shoulder, transferring a bit of her energy into him, and some of his essence into her. The effects of which were almost immediate.

He noted several individuals holding phasers, basking in the red emergency lighting. As he passed Bonnie, he rested a hand upon her shoulder, acting as though he were comforting her. Instead, once more he exchanged energies. Hers was enough for him to look twice, "It's okay Bon." He soothed while soaking in her fear and hyper-ness as if slurping a thick malt shake through a straw.

Bonnie could help but to close her eyes as a rush of endorphins flooded her system. She felt weak but also alive and for some reason she was craving one of Dean's Deanwiches. She had other cravings too which caused her to smack her lips from the sudden thirst in her mouth.

He then looked down at the Captain from the back of the bridge, "You sent for me?" He asked with a smirk on his face he was simply unable to hide. He leaned forward on the console and the red glow hit him just right, highlighting it just right to make him look sinister.

"I did" the Captain smiled at her inhabited husband, now 100 percent sure something was definitely up. "Why don't you have a seat so we can have a chat?" She offered the vacant XOs chair.

Alison turned back to her station feeling the effects of the exchange of energies she smiled as her fingers ran over the Ops console taking in all the information the entity now inside her needed to know. Her eyes fell on Thomas, the entity having learned he was her man it was yet another chance to spread to someone else. She would have called to him then and there, but now was the time to be cautious, to wait and see if Remal would need her help.

Tom looked at Remal and then at Alie. His expression grew worried. She seemed different... off. "Alie, are you alright?" He asked even though he was sure she wasn't.

Alison gave her husband a smile. “I’m fine Tom, just fine” She gave him a look she always gave him at home when in the mood for more than just kisses and cuddles. “I was just thinking that’s all.”

Now Tom was convinced something was wrong. Alie never smiled like that in public. It was for his eyes only and when she wanted intimate physical contact. "Captain, Rhenora." He called out in a warning tone. "I think we have a problem here." As he raised his phaser at Alie.

Alison gave her husband a surprised look. “Tom? You wouldn’t hurt us would you?” She rested her hand on her rounded stomach with a smile.

Tom didn't hesitate in giving his reply. You and the baby? Absolutely not Alie. However, what you're under, the influence, Yes, absolutely I will harm it. because I don't want to lose you or the baby. Already lost a son. Not going to lose anyone else."

Alie’s expression changed. “Come now Commander, If you shoot me I’ll take them both with me!” There was a wicked smile before Alie turned back to her station.

" Not a Commander, not a Captain anymore. Just a man trying to hold onto the people I love, and I'll do what I have to do to save them from you." Tom replied firmly.

Remal watched as the two love birds interacted, then looked back at Rhenora. "I think I'll stand, thanks. But, if it's a chat you want, what shall the subject matter be I wonder?" The entity knew how to play the long game. 'It' knew patience and now that it had Remals mind, it knew there was a bigger universe out there to play with as long as it played its cards right. "That moonlit swim we were planning? eh? Or perhaps the building of the cabin and our future together?" 'It' was digging deep for a personal connection.

Rhenora paused for a moment, adding the fact this creature or whatever it was obviously had access to Remal's memories and insights. What else did it know? He wasn't high up in the ship's command structure so he didn't have the command codes to the ship, but he knew a good deal about just about everyone on board. "I...ah... I was thinking about dinner maybe, after we sort out this little inhabitation problem we seem to be having. What is it you want?" She directed the last question to the creature inhabiting her husband who was still making suggestive eyes towards her.

"I was considering a traditional terrain dish, Turkey with gravy with a bit of pumpkin pie for dessert." He tapped his temple, "But that is not what you meant is it?" 'It' relaxed it's stance and walked towards to opposite side of the bridge from where he entered. "See, you're wondering what 'we' want. Well Captain, 'we' want what any species wants, to survive."

He came around to come face to face, just out of arms reach. "We shed our earthly confines many millennia ago, becoming pure energy, though..." His face looked forlorn as though he held regrets. "... to survive this way required being able to feed off of the energy around us. At first, it was organic life. Humanoid like yourselves. We found a heightened state of fear or arousal created a 'flavor' of energy that was just right." He emphasized with a smack of his lips.

While Remal was busy talking, Bonnie had stood in the back, and had casually touched the person next to her, spreading the entity again. There were now but a few unfazed on the bridge. The Captain, Tom and the Conn officer at the front of the ship. She was feeling the effects in her very core. Her heart was racing, her head light and her vision blurred. Her thoughts fell on Kit first and her many smells, then on Dean and his pretty boy face and smile. She bit her lip as she imagined the three of them together spontaneously.

"But then, in time, the population shrunk to an unsustainable level. Turns out as we increased, so did our hunger. Eventually we fed off the local lifeforms and eventually the atmospheric lightning itself, but there is no flavor there. Everything tastes, burnt, you know, not very appetizing." He tilted his head as he gazed at Rhenora. "But now you're here and so far your species is awash with so many flavors and apparently there are hundreds if not thousands of species like yours out there."

"I will not let you take this crew for a snack" The Rhenora warned, nothing the green eyes in the majority of the bridge crewmembers, whatever it was that was inhabiting them was spreading from person to person. She eyeballed Tom and the conn officer and noted they were still themselves so to speak. They needed to work together.

"Tom, would you join me at the Conn for a minute?" She asked, moving away from Remal and his haunted green eyes and lusty smile.

She waited until the others were out of earshot. "We need a plan, the creature is spreading."

Tom nodded and quickly moved to join Rhenora and the Conn officer. "I agree Captain. Can we use a forcefield to isolate them or some type of electric shock to hopefully drive the creature out of the 'infected' crew?" He asked as his eyes went to Alie and the others.

Remal watched the posturing with amusement before suddenly dropping to his knees. In fact, anyone who was inhabited on the ship suddenly dropped as something washed over them. When Remal looked up at the Captain once more, his eyes were filled with anger and the light green color had shifted.

"Captain, I'm showing a shift in the energy pattern from the planet's surface. I think something has happened down there." The Conn officer informed. "There was an explosion, and then what appeared to be an implosion and now, something has shifted." She followed up.

Tom looked at Rhenora. "Whatever happened on the surface affected those infected on the ship." He commented as he looked at Remal, Alie and Bonnie and others and saw them on their knees.

"Looks like they've pissed something off" Rhenora whispered under her breath as she took in the crewmembers on their knees. "Remal? What's happening?" She addressed the being who inhabited her husband.
