Vadia IX - Prison

Time wound back to the moment before the Vezda escaped, pausing ss though waiting for something. Those within the bubble were unaffected and merely observed until Rhenora's combadge crackled to life. Baldric was advising them to leave the prison, but remain in the bubble.

"Is that even possible?" She asked Batel and Dean.

"I don't know" Marie replied as she looked around the room. She was weakening by the minute and there was only so much Dean could do to support her.

"Doc - are you able to help?" Rhenora looked at Rowan for a medical solutions, something that would give Batel the energy she needed to get them outside the prison and to safety - otherwise they would all be doomed to repeat the same 13 minutes until the end of time.

Rowan studied Batel for only a moment before reaching for the medical kit at his side. “Possibly,” he said calmly.

The hypospray hissed softly as he adjusted its settings, his eyes flicking briefly across the tricorder display. “I can administer a short-acting neural and cardiovascular stimulant. It should provide enough energy to get us moving.”

He looked up at Batel. “For a few minutes.”

A beat.

“But it will not be gentle. And once it wears off, the crash will be… significant.”

He held the hypospray ready. “Captain,” he said, turning to Rhenora, “if we’re leaving, this would be the moment.”

"Let's do it" They took positions on either side of Marie, supporting her weight whilst she concentrated on keeping the bubble up with their movement - with the assistance of Dean.

One step at a time, one meter at a time towards the stone doorway that connected them with the freedom from eternal time loops. The flood was cold and unyielding beneath their feet, and Rhenora could see the strain on Marie's face.

"Just a little more - we're nearly there" She encouraged as they moved closer and closer to the doorway. Once through the doorway Rhenora could see their exit in the distance - opening to the barren landscape beyond and safety. "See that doorway - that's it, once we get through there we're safe - all of us" She kept an eye on Rowan, who was keeping an eye on his tricorder. Her eyes held a question - would they make it?

The CMO kept pace beside them, glancing intermittently at the tricorder. “Heart rate is climbing,” he said quietly. “We don’t have long.”

"You know what I forgot.." though Dean did look a little tired, he actually smirked. "Why are we just walking you, Marie?" He took her up in his arms and motioned his head to the rest of them. "Run."

The distance was covered in a short amount of time - the bubble just managing to keep up with them. By the time they got outside Marie was unconscious in Dean's arms and the bubble around them dissolved completely.

"Kaylen to Sunfire, get us out of there. Now!"

USS Sunfire - Brig

The turbolift doors opened and Jacob followed T'Lar into the corridor, continuing to flip through the incoming reports.

"Still no word from the Away Teams, we'll need to attempt a check in with them sooner rather than later. Also we probably should do a check with Engineering on an after action from the battle after this prisoner affair. Do you want to take the lead on any in particular or shall I just pick which task I don't want to do?" Jacob said jokingly to the Counselor. He knew that Vulcans wouldn't have outward reactions that he could really pick up on to his humor, if at all, but he felt camaraderie now with T'Lar. Perhaps this was due to some minor trauma bonding, but familiarity nonetheless.

"I recommend that we concentrate on trying to find out who it was that attacked us and why so that when the Captain is back aboard we will have some explanation as to why we just crashed a large starship planet-side. The rest of the paperwork can be sorted later," T'Lar answered.

Olivia stepped off the turbolift into the brig. "Where would you like me to start?" Olivia asked.

Just then the Captain's call came in over Rosen's combadge.

"Kaylen to Sunfire, get us out of there. Now!"

Jacob tapped his combadge immediately. "Rosen to transporter control. Execute emergency transport of the prison away team." Turning to his fellow officers he returned to business.

"I imagine I need to return to the Bridge for the Captain. If you both could take the lead on a welfare check and subsequent information gathering for our guests that would be much appreciated." Jacob turned back down the passageway with a jog. "Thank you both again! This is the busiest day I've had in some time!"

"But... Of course." T'Lar said resignedly as they strode into the main brig and found four surly Naussicans in a four separate cells being guarded by a dozen members of the Sunfire security team. Two appeared badly burned, the others were bloodied but otherwise seemed relatively unharmed. She addressed them.

"We have a medical officer here to attend to your wounds. Four guards will stand by with her to ensure her safety at all times. DO NOT MAKE ANY ATTEMPTS TO ESCAPE OR YOU WILL BE STUNNED AND PUT INTO STASIS. You will be treated according to severity of injury first. "

T'Lar turned to Olivia Voight.

"You may begin as you see fit, Doctor."

Olivia nodded slightly as she got to work.

T'Lar came to the center of the room again.

"Now, who among you is in charge and why have you attacked our ship?"

The shortest of the Naussican's, and a female, actually stepped forwards, face scared a bit were one of the most notable features. Snarling at the two officer. "I am. What is it to you, Starfleet. We take what we see fit from the weak, Starfleet."

One of the other larger Naussican's attempted to charge the field in one of the other cells, that of which got that expected result. The rest just laughed.

Olivia was a bit nervous in that she wasn't sure what to expect at times from the Naussican's, but knew that she had a job to do. She did her best to not let it show around them for it could do more damage than good if she let her nerves get the better of her at the moment. Slowly approaching one of the burn Naussican's, Olivia took note of the location of the burns and started thinking of her approach for treatment.

T'Lar was non-plussed.

"Clearly you underestimated our abilities and overestimated your own. That is why your ship is a smoldering wreck down on the surface of the planet. What precisely were you intending to take?"

Kaedz just scoffed like T'Lar was a bug under her boot. "It matter not to you, Hooman. Nor is it of your business. You got lucky. Lower this field and I will show you."

T'Lar resisted the urge to grab a phaser, drop the forcefield and stun the insolent Naussican. It had been a trying day and she would definitely need to meditate before the day was through.

"I am not a human, I am Vulcan. And if you are going to be belligerent I shall have the doctor flood your cell with anesthetize gas to incapacitate you before I allow her to treat your wounds. "

"Hooman, Vuulcan, all the same. You talk and you talk but you have no gronja." Kaedz scoffed yet again in T'Lar's direction.

"Your bickering is pointless. You are hereby notified that you are under arrest for orchestrating an attack on a Federation starship without provocation. We will treat your injuries and transport you to a Federation Starbase where you will be tried, convicted and sentenced to a Federation penal colony."

There was a hearty laugh given from Kaedz. "So that has been said before." Her eyes then narrowed a little bit, and silence. After a long moment, she said something in Naussican, loudly, to all the others. They complied to what it was and got still. Allowing the Federation dogs treat them without a fight.

The transporter tech beamed the away team on board, then quickly transported them again to sickbay, seeing Batel in an unconscious state.

ET2

Jennifer looked at the rest of the team, working diligently whilst time apparently reversed itself. She watched on her tricorder as the away team in the prison moved out of the building - the bubble releasing as they got outside.

"They're clear - start the loop" She said to the rest of the Engineering team.

Bonnie looked up at Jennifer, confusion registering as she had never 'stopped' the loop and therefore couldn't start it again. As she had said before, once started only the act of a supernova would be able to disrupt the loop.

Although, now that she thought about it further, if someone injected more tachyons into the system, it could interrupt the flow, but no, no one would be that foolish. That would destroy both planets and release the Vezda...

She reached over and pressed the activation button on the ERI. It didn't do anything, but her action mimicked 'Activation' and therefore she hoped would satisfy Jennifer's order. "Time is flowing steady, 13.32 minute intervals. Continuous loop confirmed solid."

"So we're good? They're good? We can go home now?" Baldric mentally reprimanded herself for not understanding the more theoretical component of the mission. Her strengths lay in strategy and tactics, not theoretical astrophysics.

Bonnie smiled and gave a curt nod, "Yes, we're good Commander." A beat passed and they were grabbed by the transport confinement beam and transported onto the Sunfire's transport pad. She looked about as confusion set in. They were the second group to arrive, the Captain and the others had already been sent off to Sickbay.

"Are any of you injured? Does anyone need a transport to Medical?" The transport operator asked with urgency in his voice.

Bonnie shook her head no. Then looked to Baldric and Thriss and the other security officer.

"There is another signal, but it keeps phasing in and out. I wasn't sure if I should attempt to lock on or not." The operator mentioned.

"Do not. That officer is now lost to time itself, sadly." She stepped down off the pad. "Thanks for the, um... the beam out."

Sunfire Bridge

"Is ET2 back aboard safely?" Jacob asked from the command chair as the Sunfire soared above the planet.

"Yes Lieutenant." Came Gonzalez's answer from the Ops console

"Excellent, Helm let's get some distance between us and Vadia. I would prepare for another jump once senior staff gets resettled." Jacob said with a light air. "How about the Fighter Wing?"

"Flight control reports all birds recovered. Post mission maintenance is underway."

"Please collate their after action tactical data and merge with Sunfire-Actual." Jacob returned efficiently, making eye contact with the Tactical Officer on duty.

He rose addressing the collection of Ensigns and other Lieutenants Junior Grade. "I want to thank you all for your efforts with me. We went through a tough scrape, with responsibilities that we weren't adjusted to yet. But together, we made it through. This is what Starfleet is, next person up. If you need anything from me, I will always be available."
