Combat Readiness - Final

Mission: Gamma Quadrant
Location: Sunfire

The final Jem Hadar ship hung in space just off the Sunfire's starboard bow, avoid the potshots from the Sunfire herself and holding up against any hassles the fighters were inflicting. Rhenora had an idea, it was risky, but it may prove worthwhile.

"Helm, engage a strafing run, target the Jem Hadar's secondary shield emitters, located... here" She quickly brought up a schematic of the Jem Hadar ship and pointed out the area she wanted targetted. " Tactical, boost what shield's we have left to maximum. Hammer that area - all weapons"

Savar looked at the schematic. "Interesting Captain. It just might work."

Once Sandra checked on Ajax, she got back out into space and pulled her formation together. "Captain permission to take out remaining ship? I have a bone to pick with them...." she asked, making sure of her bombing targeting coordinates.

"Co-ordinate with Tactical and provide cover, we're gonna do this together" The Captain ordered, nodding towards Dean to send through the current working plan.

"Understood coordinating with tactical," Sandy said. "All fighters assume CAP positions and provide cover for Mother," she said and all that could be heard was mic clicks in acknowledgment of her orders.

As Bonnie entered the main computer core she felt the ship lurch forward. They were in motion to attack another of the Jem'hadar vessels, the fake ones. This would mean exercising the main core and the engineering core and most likely test her update patch to its limits. Letting out a simple sigh, she deactivated the targeting orb rather than have it go off accidentally in the core, then sat down and began monitoring the communication status between cores.

The Sunfire surged towards the final ship, weapons targeting the known weak spot Rhenora wanted to exploit. The simulation had been a good representation as to the ship's readiness and the crew's training, the reports and debrief would be the final phase before they kicked off the real part of their mission.

The Jem Hadar ship exploded in a myriad of colours under the barrage, signalling the end of the scenario.

" All hands, stand down red alert, return to regular duty stations, after action reviews will commence within the hour" the Captain informed the crew, breathing a sigh of relief as the klaxons and lighting returned to regular flight mode. She was sore and a bit battered but they had learned a hell of a lot from that little training exercise. What they didn't know was that a real Jem Hadar ship sat just outside sensor range, watching the whole thing.
