Mission: Gamma Quadrant
Location: Bajor

He shifted to allow her to snuggle up closer, placing his arm behind her back. “When you are a counselor, you have to be able to see things from a variety of perspectives. Our Dragon may have been a thorn in our sides, but she was there to do a job and we didn’t exactly make life easy on her. And then to make matters worse, she became like a fly trapped in amber, out of her element, when she was forced to remain on board as your babysitter.”

“ Hrmmmmm” She mused, definitely not used to seeing the other perspective when it differed so completely from her own. “ I guess so.. I never really had considered it from that point of view. You are ever enlightened” She found some peace in the perspective - it would have been uncomfortable for everyone involved”

“Hell, I don't think I saw it until after we went our separate ways.” He yawned, feeling the activities of the day catching up with him in a hurry. In the back of his mind, a mild session of love making, but in the forefront, a sense of fulfillment and contentment at just being there with her. “Perhaps we should bed down for the night. We have a busy day of work ahead of us. We might just be able to get that South wall done.”

“ You’re probably right, besides I want to wake up with the sun - no alarms, no reminders… just the light of the sun, the sound of the waves, and the snoring of my husband” She poked him playfully

In a quick motion he rolled over and on top of her, pinning her beneath himself, his face an inch from hers. "A snoring husband is a content, happy husband. Now,” He ran a finger across her temple, pushing back a loose strand of hair. “I think I feel my stamina returning, unless of course you are worried someone may see?" He said with a gleam in his eye indicating his hunger for her was rearing its head.

“Well you’ve already shown the village everything there is to show” She giggled, not resisting his efforts in the slightest. “Come to mention it - they’ve seen mine as well, and if people are wandering around at this time of night it's their own problem. Then again… tomorrow’s headlines ‘The future Emissarys going at it on local beach - children traumatised for life’, I can see it now” she turned mock serious on him.

“Maybe they’ll learn something.” He grinned, his devil spikes showing. He then leaned in and planted a kiss upon her lips, solidifying his desires into actions.

She wrapped her arms around him and pulled him close, returning the fever that had ignited in his veins.

The next morning Rhenora awoke with the sun, still on the sand, a blanket over them both that Remal must have had stashed somewhere. He still snored next to her, obviously content in the events of the night before.

The following morning brought with it a soft fallen dew upon the grass, birds chirping and yes, one snoring husband.

Rising she headed up to the cabin and freshened up, grabbing a coffee pot as well some mugs to brew coffee on the slumbering fire. It wouldn’t take long to coax it to life.

An hour later, breakfast and coffee were done and the sun was rising higher in the sky.

“So what next? Work or play?” She asked the still somewhat sleepy Remal.

He was about to respond when a dozen or so fellow Bajoran’s began walking up the gravel laden path. They didn’t say much, just a nod and ‘good morning’ before they set to work. Masons, carpenters, plumbers and electricians all began prepping and working on the house without instruction. Almost as if they knew they were needed there.

Remal watched them arrive then answered his wife, “Looks like we’re working.” He frowned a bit, mostly because he had sand in his cheeks, but also because he was expecting a bit of private work. Puzzled, he asked, “Was this your doing?”

“Nope, not I” She said innocently, shrugging as she watched the workers file in and begin working on the building, one in particular held the plans, spreading them on a bench and pointing out several things to the other men.

“He looks like he’s in charge” She mentioned.

“Doesn’t he know that’s your job?” Remal chuckled as he stood, bent over and laced up his boots in order to set to work properly.

“ Not down here it ain’t” She retorted, pulling on her own shoes and following him up to the cabin. “ You are the boss, I’m just the assistant boss who makes the cups of coffee and sandwiches”

Amused he responded, “You are pretty good at what you do. Remind me sometime that I should give you a bonus.” He said before handing her a drill and giving her a peck upon her nose ridges.

“ Are you not the bonus?” She replied playfully as she took the drill and wandered over to the plans to work out what needed to be done next...and to find the screws and timber.
