Mission:
Gamma Quadrant
Location: USS Sunfire
Timeline: Current
-Snip- S’thenosis walked past Bonnie, down the ramp and up to Savar who stood at the center of the bridge. She stopped, pulled a PADD from the sleeve of her cloak, and handed it to him before speaking. “Savar cha'Salik hei-Surak Talek-sen-deen you have officially been summoned to a tribunal hearing at the Federation Consulate on Cardassia Prime in one month’s time, where if you wish, I will act as your judicial advocate.”
“Any questions?” S’thenosis asked in an open-ended question. -Snip-
Savar took the PaDD read it then looked to S'thenosis. "I see the Cardassians have carried out their vow to bring me to trial in regards to Gul Maccet's death." He paused and then added "I find you acceptable. In addition, I would like Captain Kaylen included in any discussions we have."
She raised one eyebrow and when she next spoke her forked tongue slipped out, "I have never been labeled as simply acceptable. When we are done, the opposition will be begging for our forgiveness." She nodded to emphasize her prowess. "As for Captain Kaylen, it is acceptable for her to be included in the discussions considering, from my understanding, that she is a rather potent witness. Now, do you wish to discuss your situation now, or are you preoccupied with duty?" She gestured to the bridge crew.
"I meant no offense by stating you were acceptable. To a Vulcan saying someone is acceptable is a compliment of the highest honor. Your understanding in regards to Captain Kaylen is correct." Savar looked around at the bridge crew. The Captain was planetside with her husband. "I believe that it is best to wait until my shift is over Then we can give this matter the attention it deserves."
She bowed her head in polite acknowledgment, "No offense taken. Perhaps since you are busy, a liaison could be assigned to show me to a conference room where I may begin data collection and analysis for our defense. And since I will be here some time, I will need adequate accommodations. Would such a person be available?"
"That would be agreeable," Savar replied as he tapped his combadge. "Savar to Mitchell, please report to the bridge."
Ronson Mitchell had been quietly squirreled away in his small office, working on the latest crew roster for sign off when the Captain returned from leave. He had his own time off booked for the end of the shift - and wondered what the Commander wanted. Rising he headed to the bridge, Vulcan tea in hand.
" Yes Commander?" he asked.
"Mr. Mitchell." Savar greeted the Petty Officer. "Please assign VIP quarters to Commodore S'tenosis as well as show her to the main conference room."
" Of course Commander" Ronson was professional enough not to react to the Commodore's towering presence, unruffled by her stature or her appearance.
" If you would kindly follow me" He gestured towards the bridge doors " Mind your... umm.. hair?"
She respectfully bowed to Savar as she parted and followed Ronson to the bridge doors. She ducked low out of habit, as well as from Ronson's warning as she entered the hall connecting the bridge to the conference room.
Savar watched as Ronson and the Commodore left the bridge. The Commodore certainly was impressive in appearance and demeanor. Savar expected no less when they got together to discuss his case. He walked to the center seat and sat down. He then toggled the library computer and began reading about Commodore S'thenosis and her exploits.
S'thenosis moved into the conference room, took one look around and began issuing needs with the expectation that Ronson was paying attention to everything she requested and required. "Yes, this will do. I will need a data device, here. Yes, a display panel there, make it two, and a secure communications frequency with uninterrupted access. Yes and privacy." She clenched her jaws. "We will need complete and utter privacy," she turned and faced Ronson. "Once ready our work must not be disturbed, is that clear Crewman?"
Ronson quickly prepared the conference room in accordance with S'thenosis instructions. A com panel here, a data device there, secure com frequency allocation and the like. "Is everything to your specifications Ma'am?" He asked.
She took in the surroundings, "This will be adequate, thank you. Now, show me to my personal accommodations so that one may prepare thyself."
"Of course Ma'am" Ronson replies without missing a beat, stepping backwards and gesturing towards the door. "If you'll kindly follow me" he allowed her to step through the for first then quickly drew alongside to guide her to the nearby quarters.
"It will be sufficient, as always." She had been down this road before, down this path. In fact the last time she had stepped onto a boat named Sunfire she was there to investigate the use of a cloaking device and its subsequent coverup. There was corruption there, she found it then. This time she was not here for corruption, but vindication and she would find it. And then she would leave.
Her previous tenure had been an extended one, a ploy of Command to keep a watchful eye on the loose cannon known as Rhenora Kaylen, when in fact the problem boiled down to her subordinate, one Jenna Ramthorne. Long story cut short, the perpetrators were eventually brought to justice. As it was, as it would be again. She looked around the room. "Dismissed for now crewman. But do not get comfortable as I will need your services soon enough." She spoke before waving him away and beginning to settle in.
