Posted on Tue Oct 24th, 2023 @ 9:32pm by Lieutenant Commander Aurora Vali & Commander Savar cha'Salik hei-Surak Talek-sen-deen
Mission:
Repairs and Retribution
Location: Aurora and Savar's quarters
After being rescued by the Sunfire crew and being cleared by Sarah and the rest of the Sunfire medical staff, Aurora and Savar were ordered to their quarters to relax and unwind from their ordeal. Aurora was told to do no heavy lifting or moving of heavy objects to let her muscles recover from being stretched on the rack. Savar was told no mind melds. To let his mind recover from the Mrs. mental tortures.
After leaving Sickbay Savar and Aurora went to their quarters put the security lock on their door and retired to the couch where they sat together in a comfortable silence. Savar's arm around Aurora holding her tight and close.
Aurora wanted to say so much but didn’t know where to start, she usually shared her thoughts and feelings with Savar but she didn’t want to be putting a mental burden on him by using their connection to convey what she was feeling. Instead she cuddled up holding on tight.
Savar sat silently. he was beyond overjoyed that Aurora was beside him and safe. However, he turned to her, "Aurora, I deeply regret you being harmed and tortured because of my actions. I hope you can forgive me. Having you hurt is something I never wanted." He lowered his eyes and dropped his head.
Aurora looked at Savar gently moving her hand to his cheek she lovingly brushed it with her fingers. “It wasn’t your fault, it was stupid Cardassian pride! The Mrs just could not believe that her husband was the one who was in the wrong. She wanted me to give you up...” she paused. “I would NEVER do that! You did what you had to do to save us back then.”
Savar kissed her hand softly. "She was blind to the truth, she only wished to believe and see what she wanted to." he paused a moment, "Aurora, your strength and loyalty are amazing. I know you would never betray me. I am extremely fortunate for your love and devotion. Neither that I take for granted." he finished before kissing her.
Aurora returned the kiss with all the love she had for Savar, if they weren’t both recovering she would have shown him just how much he meant to her in the bedroom. As it was they both needed rest and recuperation.
He placed his head against hers and continued to hold her. Thankful for the fact he could hold and talk to her. To enjoy her presence in his life.
Aurora smiled finally feeling safe now they were back aboard the ship. “There is nothing I wouldn’t do for you, I would give my life if it would save yours.”
Savar nodded. "I too would gladly sacrifice my life to save yours Aurora. It is a small price to pay to see you safe."
Aurora smiled as she looked up into Savar’s eyes. “Then we keep each other alive, I won’t ever let anything happen to you.” She paused. “Are we safe now? Is this all over?”
"Agreed my love. We will always keep each other safe." Savar's eyes meeting hers. "We are safe now. We can put this behind us and move on into the future with no more worries."
Aurora breathed a sigh of relief, feeling her fears melt away. “That’s good to know” she looked around missing the presence of their son. “Where is Sidak?”
"I asked Mandy Haldeman to watch him, so we could have this time to ourselves. You do not mind do you Aurora?"
Aurora shook her head. “No Imzadi, I was just worried that’s all. We both need the time to rest. I guess Starfleet will be sending another counsellor, or instruct Sarah to clear both of us for duty on medical and psychological grounds. I can’t clear you, and I can’t clear myself, so it will have to be someone else.”
"Sidak is safe. he is quite taken with Mandy and she him. You are correct we need time to rest and recover. I would imagine. Command will allow Sarah to clear us as she is familiar with both of us and has our medical and psychological files as well."
Aurora nodded. “I hope so, you know what they say, therapists make the worst patients.” She offered a smile.
Savar pulled back from her and arched an eyebrow. "They do? Who says that, Aurora?" He asked gently joking with her.
Aurora couldn’t help but grin at Savar’s humour. “Ohh just about every doctor I’ve ever met!”
Savar pretended to think on what Aurora said. After a few moments he replied, "Oh, that explains it."
Aurora giggled, she enjoyed any time they had together but this was more special after everything they’d been through.
Savar was pleased to hear Aurora giggle. To release the stress of the past few days. It was much needed. "I was under the assumption it was doctors who made the worst patients Aurora."
“Them too!” Aurora smiled. “Just don’t tell Sarah I said so!”
"My lips are sealed Aurora... for a price." He teased.
“Ohh?” Aurora gave Savar a playful look. “What price might that be?”
Savar's eyes twinkled mischievously. " Why Aurora, what I hold most dear, your love and support... Oh, and a kiss."
Aurora grinned. “You will forever have my love and support, as for a kiss..” she leant forward and gave him a passionate kiss letting it linger until they both needed to come up for air.
Savar's arms came up and around Aurora to hold her close as she kissed him and then held the kiss. When the kiss finally broke, he smiled at her. "Your answer was most convincing Aurora, though I was sure it would be."
“Trust me, if we weren’t both resting we wouldn’t just be kissing” Aurora smiled a wry smile.
"I have no doubt about the truthfulness of that statement." Savar answered as he kissed Auora again.
Returning the kiss Aurora let it linger before finally breaking it to lay her head back on Savar. “Fingers crossed Starfleet has something quiet for us to do next, I think we could all do with the break.”
Savar was silent for a moment as he reflected on what Aurora, Rhenora, Remal and himself had been through. The torture and indignities they had suffered both physical and mental. They were battered and bruised but unbroken. It would take time for them to recover before they were one hundred percent. They had taken everything thrown at them and were stronger for it.
He squeezed Aurora softly as she sat next to him. They still had each other to laugh with, get angry and make up with and grow old together. He looked at her. "I am hopeful we are allowed shore leave Aurora. Either on Risa or Wrigley's Pleasure Planet."
“Now that would be wonderful” Aurora nodded in agreement. “Even if we don’t we could still spend our off hours there via the holodeck.”
"Indeed Aurora. it would allow us to relax completely and rid ourselves of lingering stress." He paused for a moment before continuing. "If we cannot, the holodeck is an excellent substitute for us to make use of."
Aurora nodded. “I’ll look forward to whichever it is. To be honest I’d like to get back to work in the meantime, I don’t want to spend time sitting here dwelling on what we’ve just been through.”
"As much as I agree with both your sentiment and statement Aurora, for the time being I am perfectly content to spend my time here with you. I am sure we can find opportunities to keep your mind off what just endured." Savar replied calmly.
“Ohh Imzadi I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to sound as if I wasn’t enjoying being here with you!” Aurora sighed giving Savar an apologetic look. “I could stay here with you forever, just hide away and let the universe go by.”
Savar smiled at her, "Calm yourself Aurora. I am not upset, nor do I find fault in what you said earlier. No apology or explanation is necessary i understand you were expressing your desire as the humans put it, to stay busy."
Aurora smiled relieved. “I guess I’m just trying to run away from thinking about what happened to us. I know I have to talk about it, I’m just not looking forward to it. I could never lose you Savar, not ever!”
"You are incorrect in your statement in regard to running away Aurora. What we and Rhenora and Remal endured will be with us forever. You are merely trying to decide on the proper course in how to address it. As for losing me. Never my love. We are forever united in body, spirit and mind."
Aurora nodded. Right now that was what she needed, to be wrapped up safe in Savar’s arms, protected and safe. “Just hold me? Don’t let go.”
"A suggestion I can totally agree with and vouch for its success rate." Savar replied as he wrapped his arms around Aurora, the love of his life and held her and he would continue hold her forever if need be.
