Mission: Gamma Quadrant
Location: Bajoran Ship 2

Dean logged out of his console and summoned the next in line to take over. Any of them on the Bridge that were to be on his team, they already heard Commander Savar's pick for the teams. So they should know to join him in the lift and then to Transporter Room Three. For the rest, he tapped his comm badge and relayed the message. He's give more information on their objective once they were all gathered.

Turning on heel and over to the lift, holding it until those up there with him were in there. Once done, calling for the Transporter Room.

Ronson looked up from the pile of reports he was organising, surprised to be included in an away mission. Normally his role was running the unseen administrative nightmare that a Federation starship was, but the break in routine was most welcome. He quickly secured his workstation and picked up his rarely touched away team kit then trotted off to the transporter room, trying his best not to look either nervous nor bursting with excitement.

Since the crew had entered the Gamma Quadrant, Thriss had returned to Main Engineering to make sure everything was up to par in case they needed to make a quick escape from their current situation. This also went for the transwarp drive, even if it was still in an experimental state and work in progress.

Once he got paged for the away mission, he quickly stepped into his office to grab his utility belt for away missions. After he got ready, he stepped back out of his office and turned to one of his junior engineers. "Rollins, I'm placing you in charge until I get back."

"Aye Chief" the young officer responded.

Kla'ren left engineering and made his way to the transporter room, where the rest of the team would be waiting.

Ronson waited as the away team assembled in the
Transporter room, once everyone was there they mounted the platform and waited for the signal.

They would be beaming to the second Bajoran ship, with no idea what they were heading into or what they would find.

Called to the transporter room, Bonnie hurried down the corridor and around the corner, running headlong into a Bajoran-clad serviceman, knocking them both to the ground. Her tricorder went flying, along with something else from the Bajoran's hands. Shaking herself off, apologizing profusely, Bonnie hurried to her feet, picked up both the tricorder and the other device and then turning and running off again towards the transporter room knowing she was going to be late.

The Bajoran watched her leave, a nasty-looking smirk upon his face. The bomb was in play and heading for one of the Bajoran ships. It was all too easy.

Once Bonnie finally got there, Dean waited in the middle of the room. "If you'd not gotten briefed yet, it's pretty simple. We're going over to what should, be a simple evaluate and rescue. i'm sure they and the Captain would like the ship to be salvaged if possible, and another can come get it later when it's safe, if possible. If not, our main objective is still to get them back here safely. Just in case, if you aren't armed, do so. We don't know the situation."

Seeping internally, Bonnie nodded and walked over to get a phaser. She pocketed the tricorder and absentmindedly sat the other device in the open phaser box so that her hands could be free.

Tilting his head a little. "What's that, Bonnie?" it wasn't particularly hard to notice the tricorder and whatever the other thing was.

Stopping in her tracks, Bonnie stared at the device for a moment before turning to Dean, "I don't know. I must have picked it up when I ran into the Bajoran crewman out in the corridor. I'll just hold onto it until we get back." She said, while placing the device into her pocket.

"May I look at it?" Just curious, moving over to open the weapon locker. Dean moved back over to Bonnie. Giving her a holster with a phaser in it.

Ronson watched on, curious as well but slightly cautious as he had no idea what it was. These people were WAY more technically minded than he was - he was merely a Captain's Yeoman who made awesome coffee and was an administrative genius.

"Sure." Bonnie said, offering the device to him. "Looks like it may be a communications relay of some sort." She indicted the radio receivers on either side.

Ronson breathed a sigh of relief as they all moved their way to the transporter platform and waited for the signal to beam out.

Dean took it and looked it over in his hand, rolling it over and then shrugged. Handing it back, "Looks fine to me, maybe it's just a project." Moving over onto the pad. "Energize."

The Bajoran ship they beamed to was old, systems functional but barely, crew wounded and plain terrified - not knowing if whoever was beaming aboard was friend or foe. Ronson's pulse quickened as they assessed the situation. He looked to the more senior officers in the team for leadership.

Recognizing the uniforms, the Bajorans gathered around the Starfleet officers and began thanking their Prophets for their salvation. The crowd reached out to touch their saviors as though they were Gods among mortals. Uncomfortable with this ideal, Bonnie pulled out her tricorder and began scanning their bio readings even as children began singing songs within the crowd. "Ronson," she ordered, despite not being in charge, "Help me sort and organize the passengers. We're looking for the sick and injured first, they can be sent to medical."

Ronson nodded and scanned the assembled Bajorans, making a note of those whose vital signs were not in the green zone. Most of them were borderline - hungry, tired, malnourished, but more or less well. A few would require medical attention. Ronson segregated them and advised Lt House.

Dean wasn't going to try to stop them, it's their way and belief. Even if it was creepy, even for him, and his 'supposed' ego. Fine with them going to do that. He asked where the Bridge was. Mainly looking for logs, and to see what shape the ship was in. Telling Ronson and Bonnie to go ahead and beam over who they felt needed it while he was doing the other.

Ronson beamed 4 of the crew directly to the Sunfire's sickbay, warning them in advance of the number of patients they had found. Once that was done he looked to Dean " Ok Sir, what next?"

"Why don't you do a sweep of the ship and make sure that there's not any stragglers for the moment. Never know, our sensors could have missed someone. After that, we can start beaming the rest over in groups."

" Yes Sir" Ronson nodded and headed toward the door, tricorder in hand and ready to take on the universe - one door at a time.

Dean nodded a little, looking to Thriss, "Care to go actually to engineering, give your opinion of its status physically. Bonnie, come help me with the computer and see about getting any logs we can look at slash transfer over to the Sunfire."

"Aye. I'll check it over" the Andorian Chief Engineer nodded and started towards the lift to the engine room of the Bajoran ship.

"Sure." She said moving into the command section and taking a seat. As she sat though, the device in her pocket began to poke her, so she reached in, took it out, and sat it upon the flat section of the console, and then set to work searching the systems for logs or any issues. They were there for the people, but if the ships could be salvaged she was sure the Captain would be appreciative.

The corridors were dark, some filled with smoke - most filled with debris of some kind. The rooms were rudimentary - most only had a small metal bunk, others were for storage, also very basic. The Yeoman shook his head, marveling how these people had survived on a ship for such a time. No fresh food, no replicators, none of the creature comforts even the most basic Federation ship afforded.

"Is the device in play?"

"Planted as instructed. When we take the ship back through the temple I will signal the explosion. By then no one should be left onboard."

"But between the engines and the Darnamite in the cargo hold, the temple will collapse and Bajorans will no longer be held at the mercy of the Dominion or the Prophets." The two chatted briefly, expositing their plan before separating and going back to the job at hand

Tapping his comm on the arm of the EVA suit, "Got anything yet?" That was to Thriss and an open question to Bonnie also. Trying to find the flight logs.

Kla'ren stepped to what seemed to be one of the only working engineering panels on the ship, and began to run diagnostics on the ship's primary systems. Results started to come back later, just as his badge chirped. "As expected, the engines are severely damaged, as are most of the other systems. It's going to take some time to repair them. In the meantime, I'm going to run more scans, and dive more deeply into the systems, to see if there is any hidden damage" he replied to House over the comm.

"Computer systems are old but not intolerable, or inoperable. I've already set up a data relay to the bridge and have begun transmitting logs. It appears as if they were heading back to the wormhole when they detected the Cardassian scout ships. They barely made it into the ion cloud after taking some damage." She sat back, "Huh, I wonder why the Cardassians broke off their pursuit once they were in the cloud?"
