An important arrival

Mission: Welcome Aboard!
Location: USS Sunfire, Bridge
Timeline: Present

Archer leaned over in the command chair, "A communication, Ensign? Who from? We're docked at Starbase 10."

The Ensign nodded, "The USS Ferrera, sir. Captain Felix Hunter wanting to speak to whomever is currently in charge."

Archer leaned back in the command chair and gripped the armrests. That meant the USS Ferrera was imminent, and with her the Sunfire's new Captain. "Alright Ensign, let's have him on the viewscreen."

"Captain Hunter here, who do I have the pleasure of speaking to?" the man appeared on the viewscreen, a grey beard going along with his grey hair. He appeared weathered, and very seasoned.

Archer got to his feet, straightened his tunic and cleared his throat, "Lieutenant Andrew Archer, sir."

The Captain frowned for a moment, deep in thought. "Andrew Archer... Archer... as in, ex-UFP President Archer?"

*Will people ever forget the name Jonathan Archer?* Andrew thought to himself. He had all the respect in the world for his ancestor, but when would people start judging him on his own merits? "Yes sir, the very same."

"Well fantastic!" Hunter chuckled, "I've heard some good things about you, Lieutenant. Some very good things indeed." he paused for a moment. "I bet you're sick of people mentioning Jonathan Archer's name by now, aren't ya?"

Andrew laughed unconvincingly, "No, not at all sir. He was a great man. A great man indeed."

Hunter nodded in agreement. "Well look, the Ferrera is only 15 minutes out of Starbase 10. Please prepare for our arrival." his lips curled at the corners into a small smile, "I hope you've kept your Captain's chair warm for him. Hunter out."

Andrew took a seat back in the command chair and gulped.
