Hard Rock Cafe Pt 2

Mission: Repairs and Retribution

Timeline: End of Day 1

Rhenora tried to get comfortable on the solid rock alcove for which the Spoonheads called a bed. It was strangely enough as hard an uncomfortable to lie on as rock usually was. Thankfully the fact they were underground meant it wasn't cold and the thermal mass of the rock wasn't attempting to leech vital body heat out of her body. It was nearly impossible to sleep, despite the weariness that ached right down to her bones. It had been many years since she'd done pure manual labour and her aging body didn't take kindly to it.

Aurora wished there was a bed in their cell so she could sleep alongside Savar instead of on the hard rock alcove. She turned on her side to look at her love, a longing look that said it all.

Rhenora shifted, uncomfortable and a little cold as the minutes and hours dragged by, unable to gauge time by anything but the occasional guard patrol and the bearing of her own heart. Surely this hell would end soon. She almost wished for the mines again to save herself from her own mind.

Savar's attempt to meditate failed miserably. He gave up and simply sat quietly. His gaze shifted and he found Aurora looking at him. her look spoke volumes of her love for him. He met the look at his eyes contained the same love he had for her.

“You need to meditate” Aurora looked at her husband worriedly. “What can I do to help you?”

Savar gazed at his wife. " It is alright Aurora. No need for concern." He replied before adding, "Just continue to be here for me, ensure our union remains strong."

At some point in time Rhenora dozed off, her mind being overruled by her exhausted body. She needed rest, sadly it would be all too brief.
