Even though Commander House had recommended contacting Vulcan for help with Savar’s condition, Aurora had decided to go ahead and delve deeper into her husband’s mind. Not wanting to get anyone into trouble she waited until there was no one else around to interrupt her, once a meld was initiated no one would be able to stop it.

Placing her fingers on her husband’s temples Aurora whispered. “Let me in Imzadi...please!” With that she started their meld. “My mind to your mind, my thoughts to your thoughts.”

Savar felt Aurora's presence in his mind, could feel her concern but even more could feel her love for him. A love he was unworthy of as he could not show her the love he felt and had for her. She was an amazing woman, had been so since the days they first met at the Academy and had only built on that she was an excellent counselor with a sterling reputation.

So wnen he felt her in his mind he wasn't surprised. He moaned softly and said two words "Aurora, love"

<< Imzadi >> Aurora was relieved to hear her husband’s voice in her mind. << What’s wrong my love? Why have you retreated into the depths of your mind? >>

<< Can you not guess Aurora? I am not worthy of even giving you the simpler things every woman wants from her husband I do not show you gratification at you being by my by side or appreciation for your support as my wife. Neither do I acknowledge the respect you give me an an officer. I am not worthy of you Aurora. >>

Aurora was shocked at Savar’s words, how could she not have known he felt this way? << Ohh Imzadi! Don’t ever believe for an instant that I don’t feel the love you hold inside for me! We’re both Vulcan, I understand...and always have, that you cannot show how you feel for me openly. But you DO show me when we’re alone. >>

<< You are kind my wife but you deserve more. You need to be told how much I appreciate you as both a wife and a mother. I feel I have disappointed and let you down my love. >>

Aurora shook her head. << You have done no such thing Savar. You have been more than supportive, I’ve seen and felt how much you’ve come to love Sidak. You hold me together, without you I’m lost! Please come back to me! >>

<< Aurora. I can....... >> Savar started his reply until he lapsed into silence.

<< Savar!? Can you still hear me?” >> Aurora was worried at the sudden silence from her husband.

<< Forgive me love. I am still here, I was doing some reflecting. I apologize for any worry I caused you. >>

Aurora breathed a sigh of relief. << I need you back Imzadi. I can’t concentrate on anything without you, we are one. Commander House wanted to wait for contact with Vulcan to get help for you, I shouldn’t even be here. >>

A sigh can be heard fro Savar, << Commander House? When and why was he promoted? Never mind he has no knowledge of how the Vulcan mind works nor do I believe he care. You do my love and I trust you. Give me a few moments to gather myself and I will return to and much more attentive to you. >>

Aurora smiled. << I will Imzadi, I’ll be right beside you waiting when you wake up. >> With that she gently withdrew from Savar’s mind giving him the time he needed.

Savar bestowed a mental kiss on Aurora and began the process to wake himself up and rejoin the land of the living.

Aurora sat patiently waiting, she was tired the meld having taken a lot out of her. All she could do now was to wait for Savar to join her.

After a few seconds Savar's eyelids fluttered open and he looked at Aurora. "Aurora my love. Thank you for your love and support."

Aurora breathed a sigh of relief giving Savar a hug. “I will always be here to support you Imzadi. I love you.”

Savar hugged her in return it was most unVulcan but it felt good, "I love you as well Aurora."
