Meeting the New Chef

Savar wanted to get Aurora's mind off his upcoming trial so he decided to take her to dinner where they both could meet the new chef who had recently come aboard.

"Aurora, we are going out for dinner. I have made arrangements for Amanda Haldeman to watch Sidak while we are gone. It will give us a chance to get out and we can meet the new chef as well."

Aurora smiled warmly. “That sounds wonderful, do I have time to change before we go out?”

"Of course you do Aurora. There is no need to rush." Savar answered, knowing Aurora wanted to look her best.

Aurora smiled. “I won’t be long, I just need to change out of this uniform.” She kissed Savar on the cheek before heading to the bedroom to change. In what seemed like record time, she reappeared wearing a dress that complimented her figure, and made her look sexy for Savar.

Savar nodded with approval, "I approve whole heartedly Aurora. The dress compliments your figure quite nicely." Savar told her. "Now, shall we head to the galley and meet the new chef?"

“By all means” Aurora nodded and smiled. She paused long enough to kiss Sidak goodbye as they left him with Alison.

In the Galley Harper was doing his normal duties. Dinner was going off without a hitch and he always kept some coffee on hand for the Captain. The word was if you did not have coffee on demand, the Captain would not be very happy.

Like all ships of this size, Harper would prepare more than one main course each meal--the crew needed to have a choice.

As they approached the officer’s mess Aurora looked at Savar curiously. “I take it you’ve met our new Chef?”

"No, I have not Aurora. I thought we could both meet him together and he us. He could also learn what we like in meals." Savar answered his wife.

“That’s a good idea” Aurora smiled warmly as she held onto Savar’s arm as they walked. “I’m looking forward to a nice meal out with you.”

"I always enjoy or time together Aurora." Savar replied as they walked towards the officer's mess. " It is a special time that I cherish." He admitted.

As the two officers approached the galley, Harper was starting to finish up a second dessert option. The first dessert had went to well. For the two main choices, each person--officer or enlisted could either choose from Steak or Veal. There were also other side dishes. To drink there was also coffee and other selections. Dinner hours would be concluded in about two hours.

Walking into the Galley Aurora approached the food counter, seeing the choice of foods available she looked to Savar. “I’d love the Steak dinner, how about you Imzadi?”

"An excellent choice Aurora. Have it, if that is what you want." Savar agreed, "However I believe I will have the vegetarian lasagna. It looks most appetizing."

After hearing the orders, Harper put his skills to work and prepared the meals. Placing them on the table Harper said, "I hope you enjoy your dinner."

“Mmm it smells and looks divine!” Aurora smiled warmly. “I’m Aurora Vali, Chief Counsellor. This is my husband Savar. First Officer of the Sunfire.”

Harper smiled and replied, "It is a pleasure to meet you. I hope you enjoy your dinner. Please let me know if you need anything else."

" And you as well. Indeed we shall." Savar replied matter of factly.
