The morning had started much the same as any other apart from almost falling over the unpacked luggage on the floor. Aurora couldn’t help but grin as she remembered the trip to Niagara Falls. To say it had let the old Aurora loose was an understatement, once N’vea was asleep in their adjoining room the evenings were wild.
The days were fun full of adventure for their small family but when darkness fell the nights turned hot with passion as Savar and Aurora were free to let their passions out.
“Good Morning Imzadi” Aurora grinned as she walked into the bathroom and over to Savar giving his backside a gentle playful smack before wrapping her arms around him and giving him a passionate kiss. “I think our holiday has brought out the devil in me.”
Savar returned the kiss with equal passion, his arms encircling Aurora at her slim waist and holding her close. "Good Morning my love. I tend to agree, not that I am complaining. I like it. It adds spice to our alone time."
“Indeed it does” Aurora grinned. “Plus the break away is just what I needed to clear my head, blow away the cobwebs so-to-speak.”
"True, my wife." Savar nodded and then turned to look at Aurora. "Cobwebs?" He questioned as his mind searched for a reference to Aurora's term.
“Ohh a Human term for refreshing your mind.” Aurora grinned. “Sorry I just love the phrases I hear.”
"No, do not be sorry Aurora. I was unfamiliar with the term. I thank you for broadening my knowledge of Human terms." Savar replied and said "Cobwebs. I like it. Very descriptive."
“It is indeed” Aurora grinned. “So what would you like for breakfast this morning Imzadi? I’m thinking a choice of continental and cooked just like we had while we were away.
"I think that is an excellent idea my love." Savar replied paused nodded his head, looked at Aurora and repeated, "Yes, I am sure that is an excellent idea."
Aurora grinned. “With one change, some Vulcan pastries and fruits. I’ll go and prepare now.”
Savar nodded at Aurora's comment. "An excellent suggestion. I look forward to see what you have prepared for us. I am sure it will be most satisfactory."
Aurora smiled before heading to prepare her idea, it had all been so fun while they were off ship she wanted to recreate that feeling aboard ship.
As Aurora headed for the kitchen, Savar went to check on their daughter N'vea. Entering her room and crossing to where her crib was, he peered down at their bundle of joy. The child was still asleep allowing Aurora and Savar to have a special alone time and breakfast.
Aurora smiled as she watched Savar go, he was a very attentive father and she loved that about him. She quietly prepared everything they needed, not wanting to disturb N’vea just yet.
Exiting the room, Savar went to the kitchen where Aurora was preparing their breakfast. "N'vea is still asleep and do you require any assistance with breakfast?" He asked as he placed his hands on her hips and kissed her neck.
“Keep that up and breakfast will be delayed” Aurora grinned. “You could grab us some drinks.”
Savar kissed her neck again before replying, "I can certainly do that." As he went to the cupboard and got two glasses and filled them fruit juice, sitting them on the kitchen table. "Is there anything else I can do to assist you?"
Aurora motioned to the serving plates she was now busy filling up. “Could you take these to the table please?”
Savar picked up the plates in one fluid motion. "Certainly." He replied and then with a twinkle that only Aurora could see and notice he added, "What are you having for breakfast?"
“Hmmm a bit of everything I think” Aurora smiled warmly. “It all smells so delicious!”
Savar feigned surprise, "What? I thought this was all my breakfast. However, I will be more than happy to share with you my wife."
“Oh really?” Aurora grinned. “Then maybe I should cook more?”
"Not necessary my love. I am sure you knew I was teasing you. What you have prepared should be more than enough for us. However, if we need more I will cook the next round. No reason for you to do all the cooking.'
Aurora grinned. “I knew you were kidding handsome, now let’s sit and eat.”
"I am relieved you knew i was joking with you. For I do not desire to upset you. As for eating, I agree. We should eat while the food is still hot."
Aurora smiled stepping over to Savar and giving him a kiss on the cheek. “I love your sense of humour Imzadi, don’t ever change.”
"My wife, my love, my life. You are most precious to me. I am glad you know me as well as you do otherwise life together would not be as interesting and exciting as it is."
Sitting down Aurora plated up her choice from the buffet she’d prepared, she was hungry and looking forward to the delicious hot food in front of her.
Savar watched Aurora plate her food with a curious expression. "You do not need to worry Aurora, I am not about to take your food from you." Even as he plated some food onto his own plate.
“I know that” Aurora grinned. “I’m just hungry, actually I’m starving!”
Savar nodded his head at Aurora's explanation, "You need not explain to me my wife, I know how hunger affects people though not to the point of eating a horse." He answered clearly missing the meaning of what he just said. As he took a bite of his eggs and then followed that up with a bite of his buttered. toast, "Excellent." He commented, "My compliments to the chef."
Aurora grinned. “Eating a horse is just an expression of how hungry someone is. I didn’t mean I’d actually eat a horse.” She paused to tuck into her breakfast.
Savar nodded at the explanation. "I see. It is an example of hyperbole. An extreme exaggeration of your current state of hunger. Thank you for providing clarification." He replied as he took another bite of toast. "Though seeing you attempting to eat a horse would be quite the scene."
Aurora grinned. “I don’t have that much of an appetite fortunately. At least not now.” She paused to eat some more food. t
"I hope you never have that much of an appetite as it would do way with your quite pleasing attractive figure." Savar replied before taking a sip of his tea.
“Oh no that’s something I plan to keep” Aurora smiled. “I don’t want to end up displeasing you Imzadi.”
Savar put down his knife and fork and looked over Aurora. "You are my wife, best friend and soulmate. You could never do anything to displease me."
Aurora nodded. “I know, I just felt the need to say it is all.” She ate some more breakfast knowing N’vea would soon be awake.
Savar nodded, "I see. Thank you for saying alound what I have always known."
“My heart and soul is forever yours Imzadi, I want nothing more than to be with you the rest of my days” Aurora smiled.
Savar lowered his cup of tea and leaned across to kiss Aurora. "You complete me. Without you I would be lost. Together we continue our journey."
Aurora leant in meeting his kiss letting it linger until a cry from the nursery confirmed N’vea was awake. “Looks like a certain someone has woken up hungry.”
"indeed. You stay and continue to enjoy your breakfast I will see to N'vea." Savar answered as he rose to go tend to their daughter.
“Thank you Imzadi” Aurora smiled and nodded watching him go whilst finishing her food.
A few moments later Savar returned with N'vea in his arms. He had changed and dressed her and now she was content in his arms. "N'vea wishes to tell her mother good morning."
He announced as he lowered N'Vea to Aurora.
“Good morning sweetheart” Aurora smiled as she gave N’vea a kiss. “I won’t be long I’m almost done.”
For her part N'vea gurgled happily at Aurora's kiss. "No need to rush Aurora. N'vea is perfectly content right where she is." Savar replied as he gently rocked their daughter.
“So is her father” Aurora grinned watching Savar with N’vea.
"An astute and logical statement. I am quite content where i am doing what I am." Savar replied as he continued to rock N'vea.
“You are a wonderful father Imzadi” Aurora smiled warmly before finishing off her breakfast.
"Says N'vea's wonderful mother." Savar quickly replied.
Aurora grinned. “We could do this all day you know.”
"Indeed, we could. in fact i have no objections at all at trading compliments with you." Savar replied without missing a beat.
“I have no complaints at that” Aurora grinned. “But it would certainly take up a lot of time we could be using for other things.”
"An interesting and provocative statement to be sure. Just what other things would you have us doing my love?" Savar asked a glint of mischief in his eyes as he awaited Aurora's reply.
“Ohh I’m sure you can imagine that” Aurora gave him a playful look. “Just wait until tonight and maybe you’ll see.”
Savar's eyes sparkled with delight at Aurora's comment. "I look forward to tonight with eager anticipation at just what you have in mind for us. I am sure it will be quite enjoyable and spectacular."
“Spoilers!” Aurora grinned. “You’ll just have to wait and see.”
"True enough. Thankfully patience is a virtue and i am prepared to wait so i may see and partake in those activities I have waited for." Savar bantered back.
Aurora cleared up her plate before offering to take N’vea. “I should be getting ready for shift, do you want me to take N’vea to the nursery?”
"If you would like to. I know how much you enjoy your time to bond with our daughter." Savar stated. "And I confess I enjoy my time with N'vea as well."
Aurora nodded. “Bonding is very important, but if you want to take a turn doing the nursery run you can. I hate having to leave her there.”
"I understand your reluctance to leave our daughter at the nursery. I can spare you the emotional pain and do this for you." Savar replied.
Aurora nodded. “I’d appreciate it Imzadi, thank you.”
"My pleasure my wife. I am pleased I can do this for you." Savar replied, "N'vea, I will take you to the nursery today." To which N'vea gurgled happily.
Aurora smiled leaning in to give her cherished little one a kiss. “I’ll see you later little princess.”
N'vea gurgled happily at Aurora's kiss. "I will see you later as well my love." Savar said to Aurora as he leaned in to kiss her as well.
Aurora returned Savar’s kiss letting it linger just a little. “More where that came from later. I’d best let you get going.”
"I anxiously look forward to tonight and all it holds for us." Savar replied as he turned to leave. N'vea and her bag in his hand.
