Lt.(JG) T’Lar surveyed the deck of the shuttlebay with typical Vulcan dispassion; though she was acutely aware via her heightened Vulcan visual and olfactory senses that the crew members of the USS Sunfire were anything but calm and serene at that very moment. The Andorian security officer of the deck was visibly agitated, his antennae twitching this way and that as if there was something he would rather be doing than checking in the latest addition to the Sunfire’s counseling department. The pungent odor of human stress hormones drifted through the space, making it’s presence known despite her nasal desensitization procedure, and although the smell of humans was not as revolting to her as it once had been she found stress body odors particularly difficult to stomach. She made a mental note to see the CMO about a fresh round of nasal desensitization treatments at the earliest possible moment but for now her curiosity was piqued as to what was causing the crew’s consternation.

“Lieutenant T’Lar requesting permission to come aboard”, she announced as she approached the officer of the deck, handing him her PADD showing her orders.

The Andorian scanned the PADD briefly and in a terse voice responded,

“Permission granted, Lieutenant. Unfortunately I have updated orders for you to forgo checking in with the quartermaster, at this time. We are in a bit of a situation, I’m afraid and its all hands on deck. You are to report immediately to your department head for assignment. We’ve been authorized to secure your belongings with the quartermaster should you wish to leave them with us.”

T’Lar thought for a moment of the large duffle bag containing all of her worldly possessions.

“Yes, of course that would be agreeable, Thank you.” she said, handing over the large bag.

“Report to the Chief Counselor’s Office, Deck 3. You will be reporting to Lieutenant Commander Vali”

The officer of the deck handed her back her PADD. “Welcome aboard the Sunfire…”

As T’Lar entered the Counselor’s suite she was met by an aesthetically pleasing blonde bajoran male in his 50’s.

“May I help you Lieutenant?”, He asked, then recognition spread across his face, “Ahh you must be Lieutenant T’Lar! Very nice to meet you.”

“It is agreeable to meet you as well,” T’Lar countered, “I am here to report to Counselor Vali and see how I may best be of assistance in whatever is going on…”
