Mission:
Character Development
Location: Dean's Quarters
Timeline: For Bajor
Dean lead or rather, escorted Jennifer off of the Trubolift, down the curling corridor to his quarters. Once inside, calling for the lights to come on. She knew his quarters and where things were and should know that she had free reign to every part of it. "Should we take a shower? I promise no hanky panky. I just figure you want to wash the stench of Coy off, I probably smell also."
She hesitated for a moment before nodding, not trusting herseld or her judgement at this point. Coy was 'unhinged' to put it mildly, and the straighty 180 Jennifer Baldric was secretly jealous. Coy didnt care about anyone or anything, about what people thought or their opinions. Was she so up tight she was missing on a whole other world? Was she so consumed in her career she was forgetting to live?
She led the way the bathroom, setting the shower to steaming hot water and reaching for whatever body wash Dean had on the counter. She stripped, taking note of the purple lingerie and stepped into the shower.
It was warm and luxurious, Jen took her time washing the last few days from.her body. Her abdomen was sore, a thin scar that couldn't quite be erased the only external marker. Inwardly she was wrecked, mind still a mess after Coy had forced itself in. When she had decided to save the symbiont she didn't know what to expect, but it hadn't been that.
She sensed Dean behind her, a warm and comforting presence, soaping her back so she didn't have to stretch, washing her hair so she didn't have to reach.
Jennifer didn't at all have to. Dean was more than happy to do so for her. It was comforting and sensual to a point without having to actually be sexual. Just feeling her skin, the way she reacted to him. There didn't need to be any words for the moment.
She lingered linger under the hot water, enjoying the feeling of the water and the close proximity of the man behind her. She felt alive, although she was missing the second voice in her mind more than she cared to admit. "It's weird, almost like it's too quiet in my head" she admitted finally, turning to face him.
Dean closed what little distance there was between them and pressed his lips to hers for just a moment. "I'm sure it will be that way for a little while."
The sensation was the same, the internal commentary was gone, and she allowed herself to enjoy the moment in its simplicity. "Always the voice the reason" She smiled as they broke apart, she shut down the water, conserving the resource and tossed him a towel, wrapping one around herself.
They dried, the Starfleet issue fabric effeciently wicking the dripping watrt from their bodies. Jen was exhausted, the ordeal of having the symbiont taking a toll physically and mentally. Jen pulled an old tshirt of Deans, worn and comfortable and crawled into bed, feeling his arms snake securely around her body from behind protectively. Finally she could sleep.
