"Computer, start recording, personal log:

The day shift ended with only a few issues. The warp drive seems to be fully operational, in multiple simulations I might add. She hasn't left dry dock yet. That honour will be for the Captain upon his or her arrival".

::walks over to the replicator and pushes a few buttons on the console. A glass of cold water materializes and he takes a sip::

"A few more crew members arrived today, luckily for me, they were mostly engineering staff. I wasted no time in putting them to work and just maybe we will launch on time.

I have some reports to file later in the Chief Engineers absence, admin is not my favourite task but they must be done or questions will be asked?"

::rotates his shoulders forward several times::

"My visit to Sickbay was an interesting one. The medical staff on board were all busy so I had to deal with the EMH Mk.1

I finished my medical with a great respect for the hologram. Even though we have different opinions on every day matters I see him as someone I can get along with".

::walks around the room sipping more water::

"Maybe once things calm down in engineering I will approach him for more ethical debates?

Anyway, where was I? Yes, my medical. After being prodded and probed it seems I am fit remain on active duty. The good, but not humorous EMH gave me a clean bill of health. Thank you Doctor.

:rubs his beard::

"Maybe I'll try to relax and go to the holodeck later on?"

::chuckles and finishes the glass of water::

"Right back to these reports".

Computer, end recording".
