News has filtered down from the top that our new CO has been confirmed. A human by the name of Captain Thomas Devoe.

::sits on his bunk and kicks off his boots::

Neither my engineering team or myself have every served with our new commanding offficer but if you believe the rumours, he comes with a decent reputation? Let's hope those rumours are all true.

Only time will tell?

We experienced a ship wide malfunction today, the food replicators all went offline, it's surprising how snappy humans can get without a shot of caffeine in the morning. I must admit, the thought of dry rations again for any extended period of time was not the most enticing thought.

I sent a team to sort it and they reported it was fixed within an hour. I hear from the Bridge that morale was up! Even the Officer of the Day, who had only roasted me days earlier for my conduct was singing mine, and my teams praises? Maybe it's the beginning of a beautiful friendship?

::Taazk walks over to the replicator, taps the console and orders a Volcanic Spew drink::

Or maybe not!

More crew members reported in today, I don't think we can be too far away from a full compliment? I am still to meet the Command Staff of this new vessel. I'll visit the Bridge tomorrow and pay my respects to Captain Devoe.

First I need a sonic shower and sleep!
