Personal Log: Entry 3
​Sometimes, even I feel the weight of anticipation. Waiting is a state of being I know intimately, yet there are moments when the prospect of new experiences, of meeting new minds, stirs something within me. Right now, that feeling is a low, insistent hum as I await my meeting with Captain Kaylen and Commander Savar cha'Salik hei-Surak Talek-sen-deen, the Vulcan first officer.
​I have yet to meet either of them, but I know one of my companions well: Major Kira Nerys. I've offered her my assistance before, with what she considered great results. A few nights ago, we sat on the promenade with our raktajino, and the topic turned to the Sunfire and her crew. I watched as she spoke, the pride and affection for them clear in her eyes. It was a powerful testament to the bond they share.
​Kira is a being I trust, and her trust in this crew is a bond I will honor. I will do my best to extend that same trust to them, to give them a chance to earn the respect that Kira already holds for them.

​(A soft chime sounds, interrupting the log.)

​Ah. Time for the meeting.
