Mission: Sunfire Station Keeping Starbase 247
Location: Starbase 247 - CO Office.
Timeline: After Senior Officer briefing

An Ensign wearing a gold uniform stepped into the Senior Briefing and pointed both at Commander Jodin Arlidd and Captain Sheridan. Jodin stepped out with the Captain following behind.

"Can we help you, Harry?" Jodin asked.

Harry smiled a bit he hadn't been noticed by a Senior officer yet. "Acting base commander Margaret Rees has requested yourself in your office Mr Arlidd."

Jodin nodded. "I see we'll go over there now. Thanks, Harry safe night." He looked at the Captain walked around coroner leading them both to the turbolift. "What do you think this is about?" He asked.

T'Brei, got the notice to meet with Captain Reese, the Star Base Commander.... She was confident it was about the Dark Matter Nebula area in Star Base 247B's territory. She had been regailed by the ancient stories. The mysterious beings the strange electric anomalies.... so. She wrapped up her expecting of McQueen new fighters and went onwards to meet with the Base CO.

Stepping into the turbolift with the Captain and riding it up to the Admin block stepping off the lift and down the corridor. He stood outside the former office that he once held. "The Senior officer always makes the first contact." He said smiling.

Seeing Captain Sheridan blank face he sighed. "...Fine." Pressing the doorbell and a soft gentle. "Enter." came from inside.

Reese stood aside by the window where you could see ship traffic fly past. Seeing her guests of honour arrived she motioned to the chairs across from the table. "Please sit down...We have much to talk about.

Jodin stood behind the chair across from the desk. "Strange being on this side for once he said."

"The dark matter nebula Commander Arlidd you held this position and the guardian of the Nebula. Please tell us what you know." She commanded

"Well...We know it's a Dark Matter Nebula and once a year Starfleet sends a ship to re-exam it. Starbase 247 doesn't have any garrison ships until your ship Captain the USS Eagle was transferred and shuttles the journey takes 7 weeks at maximum warp and when in the area we lose contact and can't re-establish contact until they dock with the base... This isn't a Starbase its an Outpost... We monitor it as sending shuttles are dangerous. Today we had an odd reading... My... Your First & Chief Science Officer Lieuteant Commander Neassa Župan told me that sensors detached a rise in Dark Matter but it was growing dangerously it grew slowly every day but not dangerously."

Reese sat down in her chair. " It has grown in mass and become more dangerous it's something I need a crew to do... A crew that has a ship." She said looking at Captain Sheridan. "Your orders are to investigate the Nebula and if possible stop it. I know the Sunfire is not available at the moment. The USS Eagle... Captain Sheridan, you will transfer your flag to it. A Defiant Class all crew has been re-assigned so just move yours over. Any questions?"

T'Brei looked over the data and listened. "No questions, Captain Reese..... this is all straightforward and, with the Intel gathered in this sector by our Intel, our scans and science departments readings as Sunfire arrived for refit and repairs, there are strange concerns happening in that nebula. We will investigate, drop in communication beacons and explore as much of it as is safely done."

"Then we're settled," Reese said. "Depart when ready."

T'Brei nodded and with her usual silence, made her way to the Eagle.... Where the crew was also gathering.
