Meeting the Captain

Mission: Sunfire Station Keeping Starbase 247
Location: Flight Deck Starbase 247/Capt. Temp Off. SB247

Starbase 247: Flight Deck and Captain's temporary Offices on STARBASE 247:

Sandy did a quick flyby of the station before she landed her fighter. "Interesting.......," she muttered as she stepped on the deck. Pulling her bag from the fighter seat, she headed for the captain's ready room or wherever she was stationed on the starbase. Walking along the walkway, she looked the place over. It was quiet but active. Finally finding her quarters she unpacked and showered. Enjoying a shower that had water was fantastic and it felt wonderful. Donning a clean uniform, she finally found where the captain was and hit the door chime.


T'Brei looked up as the chime went off and said. "Enter."

She rose from her seat and said . '"Welcome, it is an honor to greet thee."

"Pleasure is mine Captain. Lt. Cmdr. Sandy "Ghost" Shannon, your new CAG", she said, handing her dossier to the Captain.


"Welcome. The new fighters will arrive soon, pilots as well. We look forward to a bright future on Sunfire."
T'Brei said. "We will get in the shuttles, fighters etc. To explore the region around this base."

A puzzled look formed on Sandy's face, "Get in the fighters and shuttles? I assumed that they were here already. I mean, I came in my own fighter, but I didn't see other ships so naturally I thought they were stowed or on maneuvers", she said chuckling.

"We have some intriguing new fighters arriving. If you wish, however; you may keep your fighter you arrived in. But I shall need your expert eye and Mister Bailey's engineering mechanics to just look them over the new medical and support shuttles as well, so that our pilots will be assured the craft are ready."

She pulled up the prototype specs, "Note here, new alloys lighter, faster. Also the medical support transports have the same alloys. Now, Sandy Thompson is familiar with these specs.... and I am confident that our trials will see them excel and become a standard for pilots soon."

"May I inquire as to what type fighters they are? I'm flying a Mklll Valkyre fighter, so these are either what I have or next generation prototypes" Sandy said wondering just what was coming.

McQueen nodded and said, "The latest prototype are sleeker faster can carry Pilot and Rio or just a Pilot. The skin is made from new technology that far exceeds anything in Star Fleet to date.... and it's STEALTH capacities make it invisible to enemy sensors, the spirit fighter a ARCH Lite fighter blends in with it's surroundings without utilizing any thing close to a cloaking device, it's propulsion systems run clean without a tachyon trace. And so much more the fighter enhances the Pilot's safety. Even it's life pod capabilities are more than just departing the main craft, it can get the Pilot and Rio farther in many cases a safe haven without waiting for rescue."

T'Brei concluded. "You fighter pilots will do fly by and recon for the Dark Matter mission. Prepare your fighters...."

Everyone moved forward with preparations for wheels up and mission GO.
