New Girl in Town

Commander Jennifer Baldric was a bold and brash officer, making her way through the ranks quickly due to her quick mind and decisive decision making she was an up and coming command level officer who was just itching for her first break.

She had jumped at the opportunity to be assigned to the Sunfire which was heading back to the Gamma Quadrant, she was supposed to be assisting the ship's Captain, a Captain Kaylen. It seemed however the CO has remained on Bajor on personal business leaving the ship In the hands of the XO one Commander Savar. Jennifer pondered this happenstance, she would be of equal rank to the commanding officer but would have to defer as his position was higher than hers despite them being the same rank. As a mission specialist her role was to offer advice on her area of expertise, in this case all things Gamma Quadrant. Kaylen had approved her transfer, even though it had been ordered by Admiral MacIntyre. She had a decendary mission to advise on the current command structure of the Akira type vessel back to the Admiralty and provide her recommendation for any changes. Without the CO actually being present that would be a difficult outcome to achieve.

She strode towards the turbolift, her confidence exuding through her posture and daring anyone to question her. Most were not game enough to meet her eye, let alone hold her gaze without flinching.

As the turbolift arrived at the bridge she strode forward, making a beeline from the rear to the command chair where command Savar was seated.

"Commander Savar, Commander Baldric, mission specialist, Admiral MacIntyre assigned me to the Sunfire with your Captain's approval" she offered her hand, shaking Savar's before casually dropping into the seat to his right hand side. Yes, things would be interesting for the next few months.
