Back in the Saddle

Mission:
Gamma Quadrant
Location: Ready Room
CPO Ronson Mitchell carried a carefully packed box in his arms as he surveyed the space he had to work with. Whilst he had enjoyed his other assignment he looked forward to coming back to where his heart felt her should be. He loved his time as Yeoman and wanted to return to the role at least until everyone was settled. He wasn't a career man, more one of service and making sure other people were happy and well looked after to the best of his ability.
The space was smaller than its comparison on the Liberty - the usual workstation, couch for guests or power naps, private ensuite and door to the Yeoman's office. It was functional as it was, but devoid of taste and personal touches. The box in his arms would hopefully solve that particular problem. There were several Bajoran artifacts, some items from the Captain's previous commands, and a few sentimental items from the Captain's past.
Carefully putting the items on the workstation he looked at the various shelves and surfaces, before coming up with a decor that he thought would suit the Captain's taste and style. She was understated, somewhat sentimental but not overly so, and liked things efficient. A few minor adjustments and he felt he had achieved his objective.
He placed the padds neatly on the desk, adjusted a gold and ochre sash over the back of the chair, and set the empty coffee mug to the right of the workstation. It would be filled with steaming hot coffee before the Captain walked in the door the next morning. She would smile, begin her day and think no more of it - and that was how he liked it.
